We have just had most of the exterior of our timber house painted by Women at Work Painters (WAWP) in two separate repeat contracts six months apart.

We found WAWP very reliable. They came to give us well structured quotes, timings and contracts when they said they would. Their prices were reasonable, so we gave them repeat business for the two halves of our job.

The work was a bit tricky because of the high roof height, Georgian window frames and prolific plantings/garden beds adjacent to the building walls and surrounding picket fences. The preparation and painting was done to a high standard – the two painters on our jobs were courteous, hard-working and very skillful. The painters kept us informed about when they were to be on the job and what parts of the project they would be doing the next day. The painters did what they said they would do and made negligible mess on our property. WAWP management visited several times during the jobs to confirm the high standards set were being met by the assigned painters and that we clients were happy.

They left us a list of the paints/colours which they used and where they used them. They also left us some left over paints so that we can do touch-ups ourselves when needed in the future. We have a young puppy who is a bit of a bolter and they were careful to keep gates closed to isolate him in non-work areas and prevent escapes.

Frankly, we can’t think of anything we would like them to have done better.

I am so happy with the work done by Avril and her team, to get my home ready for sale; and have now asked them to quote for my new home that I have just purchased.

Avril / Greg /Heath/Geoff and Simon were a pleasure to work with.They completed a challenging job on my windows under difficult weather conditions . I hired a lead hygienest due to the complex nature of the job and for lead paint removal advice and they were happy to follow his recommendations.Peelaway was used to remove the lead paint initially (a very difficult and time consuming process) followed by removing the remainder with a Hepa flilter vaccuum. All windows were protected to prevent any dust entering the home . As the windows were in poor condition Geoff the bulilder had to essentially reconstruct the windows - with the result looking like new Geoff and Simon are true artists ! Alot of thought and planning went into the process but I am so happy with the results as I didnt think the job was possible ! Thank you to all the team at Women at Work and I am looking forward to them completing the next set of windows in a few months.

They did fantastic preparation , excellent final job.They arrived on time every day. Communicated what they were doing ,worked well as a team, were always courteous.Nothing was too much trouble. They were mindful of keeping front & garage door closed ,security for us & pets. My house looked brand new again when they left. One of the best experiences we have had with people working in the house. They came in & did the job well without any fuss. Zero usual BS that can go on ! Definitely recommend!
