Totally awesome job of recovering my two sofas and 8 dining chairs. Efficient prompt and friendly service... I couldn’t be happier.... Thankyou

I made the mistake of entering in to an agreement with Carine Upholstery to recover my once 2 identical 2.5 seater Chesterfield investment piece lounge suites owned and loved for over 32 years.

I spent over 2 hours in the showroom discussing what I wanted & choosing a fabric with Carine Upholstery. At no time in our discussions was there any mention that he would be doing anything other than a recovering the lounges with my chosen fabric, supplying good quality foam new seat & back cushions, a pleated skirt surrounding the 2 lounges (photos were supplied for example) I was promised amogst other things that with 25 year experience that I would "love" the end result. I do not.

Not only did Carine Upholstery recover my 2 lounges with shoddy sub-standard workmanship, the lounges were stripped to the wooden frame losing the integrity of both suites, repalced parts & reduced in overall size with inferior products effecting the height & width and comfort level we once enjoyed.

Carine Upholstery recycled & used my own original materials in the now smaller seat & back cushions (threads & dye marks are evident), the core springs & webbing have been removed (When asked Why? I was told to prove there were springs there!!) this area is now void, a length of nylon string holds up my own top springs in the original material that in time will sag to floor level.
The pleated skirts requested has in one lounge 21 join marks & held down by velcro tabs that curl up, not one pleat on either lounge.

This was all done without my permission or knowledge.

After 8 long stressfull months of phone calls, text messages, emails & photos and finally a visit to the showroom & threat of legal action to rectify the situation a full refund was given in July 2016.

Carine Upholstery did not take up my offer to return the lounges to their original size & shape using equivelent materials as the cost would have been enormous in fact quotes have come in around $6500.00 to rectify & recover.

If only the competence & sales pitch matched the arrogance I was shown in my dealings with this business I would not be writing this review.

I can not recommend this business nor its practices on any level.
