We always try to get here once a year or so to see what has changed and to just refresh the kids from their city life, as to what it's like for the animals to actually live in the bush.

That's one thing I really like about this Sanctuary - the bushland setting and how it blends into its surroundings. The animal enclosures are made as true to life as possible.

It was a great day wandering around, enjoying all the animal encounters were were lucky enough to get.

Admission prices are a touch steep, but I guess they are an organisation I'm willing to support. With a few adults (classed from 17) and various children, it cost us around $70 - 80 to get in. They're open from 9.00 t0 5.00 so you get a good day if you go early.

I'm not a fan of huge birds but some of the others enjoyed this show. I loved the platypus creek and the Meet the Keeper opportunity was very interesting. It just shows how passionate and knowledgeable these people are about their work.

The Pavilion Cafe near the children's playground was a nice place for a coffee and ice cream, but bring your own picnic lunch, it's way cheaper.

We all went home tired, sign of a good day I suppose.

I took my son out here a few months back and the trip was thoroughly enjoyed. The bird show was great and we especially enjoyed the chap that demonstrated the aboriginal instruments and weapons. The contact activities were also great value. We got close and personal too the koalas and the little one was quite please.

A great relaxing day out. Watch Birds of pray exhibit visit the vet station where you can see the animals being treated via the onlooking window's.
BBQ's. Heaps of things to do when you visit, check the site for feeding time's as thats something not to be missed. Most Aussie animals are nocturnal so they may be sleeping on a hot day, so its good to check that out if you have kids.

Cafe takeaway and restaurant on site, but can be a tad pricey.

Truly a fantastic wildlife park featuring Australian animals in a tranquil bush seting.

My hubby and I went there for a day trip and used a discount voucher and loved our time there.

Entry price is a lil expensive but it was good to have been able to use the discount voucher on this occassion.

Its a great unique place to bring overseas guests to to see our aussie animals

its relaxing to walk around and see the animals.

It was a particularly warm day when we had plenty of shade from the trees.

The staff were very helpful and informative, If you didn't have the map it would be easy to miss things. Free bbq's were great and convenient to avoid the expensive on sight food, great day out!

Great nature park, i took my boys there when they were little and it was a fantastic day out, lots of animals to see in a very natural setting, and all the animals looked happy and well cared for.

Healesville Sanctuary is a great place to come to learn more about Australian Wildlife.

There are many interesting shows to see like the Spirits of the Sky where you see the Birds of Prey get extremely close to you. They are so amazing to watch. There is also "Meet the Keeper", Reptile Show and much more.

There are also lizard, turtles, snakes, kangaroos, Emus, platypus and many more animals to see.

I love all zoos this one is about an hour out of melbourne it has all kinds of beautiful aussie animals to admire
