I was watching Studio 10 the other day
They had cool cards on there that you can buy people but it supports other people
Like buy a chicken card for $10 and a friend gets a chicken card and someone in a another country gets an actual chicken
I love that idea
If you have more money there is fresh water ones goats chicken with baby chickens
I think its the last day today if you want to get it sent to them for xmas
There are so many tea towels and mugs chocolates that you can give this is something a little bit different
esp. if the person is an animal lover
This is one of only 2 Oxfam shops in WA and sells a variety of "fair-trade items". They sell all sorts of things from handmade jewellery, food, recycled products, games, toys, coffee, tea, Christmas decorations and cards.
I come here every year to buy my handmade Christmas cards and chocolates. This year I bought fair trade chai tea, nougat, chocolate and Christmas decorations for friends and several work "secret santa's". They even gift wrapped it for me!
The staff are volunteers and are very knowledgeable about the products they sell, offer free gift wrapping and take credit cards (even AMEX).
This tiny store stocks lots of mostly handmade, ethically sourced and often organic products and the proceeds go directly to the villagers and communities who make/grow them.
The chai tea I bought was a little pricier than I'm used to but it's absolutely delicious and I can rest assured in the knowledge that it's been ethically sourced and that the "little people" have been looked after.
This place is awesome!
