Went here to celebrate a friends birthday. Wouldn't of been our choice but went anyway.
Have to say the surroundings where lovely.
Our friend had when she rang up had asked if they had any gluten free meals on the menu and was told there were plenty, well there wasn't. I had very little choice and I felt that the waiter really couldn't be bothered about my concern about what was in the dishes.
I ended up having some chilli chicken which was okay.
My friend and her partner had the Peking duck which was prepared in a few different ways for them to eat and that looked and smelt beautiful if rather expensive at around $70.
All in all I felt that everything was really overpriced for what you receive. The service was rushed as I felt they wanted us out of there as quick as possible so they could re-use the table.
Don't think I'll will be going back there anytime soon.
Approximate cost: $25
We tried this chinese restaurant on one of our trips to Jupiter's Casino because they had a lunch special on at the time. Three courses for $20 which is great value but the food was just average, nothing you couldn't get at any shopping centre food court. The restaurant itself didn't feel very clean, the carpet was dirty and there was just an dirty oil sort of smell in the air. Unfortunately this restaurant does not match the quality of the other restaurants at Jupiters Casino.
Usually the restaurants at Jupiters are so good, it's a shame.
We went here with a group of friends that had come to Australia from Hong Kong and it was a total hit. They all said it was very authentic and we had a wonderful meal there. The service is ok but to be fair it is always super busy and you have to make sure you book well in advance especially on a Friday or Saturday. I do recommend the duck but it is quite expensive but such a treat. I find that because it is so busy it does seem a little loud but again it's good so you tend to tolerate these things a bit more. The food is expensive but you pay it for the quality and the fact that it is fine dining so just enjoy it.
Approximate cost: $26
had some very enjoyable meals here
Zen is pretty authentic in its food and ...delicious. The duck wraps are devine as are the pork in lettuce. Pricey but ..good quality so worth it.
The boned duck wrapped in pancake is beautiful. Have it once, and we ordered some more, yummy. We also like the fresh mango pudding which just melts in the mouth. Service is fab and classy.
The quality and service was great. One of the more authentic Chinese restaurants on the Gold Coast. The price was as expected for this fine dining restaurant.
One of the best Chinese restaurants I have been to. Authentic and delicious. This is a fine dining restaurant with a classy atmosphere. The service is impeccable. It is on the pricey side but well worth the price.
