I became a top Brisbane personal trainer for over 12 years. 10 years ago I would dismiss anyone (client or trainer) who would say that “certain” foods do not agree with me…

I was a staunch it’s only calories in vs calories out….i was a processed food is not an issue type coach….I would use it at a selling point…”I can fit MacDonalds into your diet and you can drop fat”

Fast forward to now and from 10 years of writing diets for 1000s of people and measuring what happens plus adding on top how my own body has changed how it reacts to certain food…I can catagoricaly tell you that a carb is not a carb…processed foods can and will fk with fat loss (maybe not a “direct” effect on body fat metabolism but indirectly)…

Your digestive system is 1 continuous pipe and energy/minerals/vitamins etc are absorbed along the pipe. Stress, lifestyle, diet, yo-yo dieting, can affect how your body digests food.
