We just popped in here for a quick drink, more out of curiosity than anything else, because we were eating in the area and had arrived early for a booking at a favourite restaurant.
We were impressed by the laidback elegance of the place, and loved the wood and lovely, homey details. I am told it looks fairly authentic.
Some of the drinks are a bit more expensive, but that's to be expected with the type of place. We just had cider and cheap beer, but will be coming back for meals and sake, because it looked so great!
You have to try their tempura anything! They have the lightest and fluffiest batter
Otherwise, everything else on offer is good.
Some hit and misses with this new place.
I think they're still settling down, so there's a few hiccups here and there. I think they'll learn all how restaurants are supposed to work as time goes by.
So the food is something good about this place. I like their sweet potato chips and their takoyaki (octopus balls). Their mains aren't anything to write home about, but they are presented nicely.
This one's good for a once in a while. But not too often
Approximate cost: $avg
