Wow. I had no idea how good Ethiopian food was. I am so glad I paid this one a visit! Beautiful bread, amazing food. It felt quite traditional in that the food came out in a single bowl/basket for everyone to share. The flavours really complemented each other. I desperately want to go back!

A great restaurant. This was my first introduction to Ethiopian cuisine and I was blown away by the flavours. I could eat the kita bread as a meal on it's own! Reasonably priced and good service.

WOW the flavours explode your senses! Delicious meal, wonderful presentation, friendly staff, lovely atmosphere = a great night out. We prefer the kita to the enjera bread but each to their own. If you can't make it to Dickson, these guys are also set up at the Kingston Markets every Sunday where you can sample a small selection of their tasty flavours.

This is such an excellent restaurant. The food is so different to anything I have experienced. Hot and sour flavours. We had the banquet which was a jamboree of colours and flavours and served on the special bread unique to Fekerte's. The Pepperjack shiraz suggested by our waitress matched the food deliciously. Mr Fekerte told us all about traditional Ethiopian dining while Mrs Fekerte worked hard in the kitchen delivering the scrummy fare. The desserts were just the perfect ending to the evening (sweet, fruity and nutty). Yum, I'll definitely be returning.

Approximate cost: $20
