This place is a historic hotel that offers fine-dining Resto, outdoor pub/bar in a garden setting. Great selections of food, a bit pricey but worth it! A good place to relax and chill out on a weekend or lazy Sundays!
Approximate cost: $28
The Rose and Crown is a great for a Lazy Sunday Breakfast, it has a lovely outside seating garden area, perfect with the weekend paper, cuppa coffee eggs bennadict! What more could you ask for??
We have been to the Rose and Crown on a number of occasions for breakfast lunch and dinner. On every occasion the food has been to die for and the service has been above and beyond!! The outside garden is lovely on a Sunday afternoon and when I take family here for dinner they rave about it all week afterwards.
Approximate cost: $35
I love this place as it caters for all our needs. Our mothers group meet there for a coffee during the week, we have breakfast there with the family and dinner there with the friends. Then when we are kid free it's a great place for a social drink.
Approximate cost: $30
Lovely building and older grounds are nice. Make sure you popped down and check out the cellar. Food was pricey 3 slices of bread for $12. Drinks more expensive than other places too. Wait staff were excellent.
Approximate cost: $32
We had a family birthday lunch. Our waiter looked after us really well but we also treated him well! Our food we couldn't fault but was a little more than expecting to pay. However the garden setting made up for it. Worth every bit. Would do it again for a special lunch or tea.
Went for Sunday lunch and ordered the roast special. Very delicious and well prepared food. As it was a birthday lunch, we brought our own birthday cake. The staff put candles on it for us and then cut it up and served it at no extra charge. We sat outside in the garden area and it was a very pleasant experience. Well worth a walk around the hotel and grounds, especially the underground area.
Approximate cost: $30
I went here a week ago after not going there in a couple of years and was flabbergasted! The renovations are spectacular, with more rooms and gorgeous decor. I think the best part of this place is the underground cellar, that no one seems to know about. Whenever we've been there we've always had it to ourselves, last week being no exception.
This is a lovely building and they have done a really good job at the renovations however it lacks the Australian friendly spirit that one expects from a hotel in this area. The staff are nice enough but it is almost like they have been told not to waste time on the customers.
