Went along to a place named after mushrooms despite being allergic as a large part of the menu looked enticing, and we weren't let down. The Risotto con Zucc Pollo was excellent, as were the handcut sebago chips (I definitely recommend them) and the steak. The seasoning on the steak was just right. Would definitely go back.
This place, although quite far away from the centre of Canberra, is really good. The food is authentic and the wait staff are very genuine. The wine list isn't the best, but the food makes up for it. Worth the trip out there.
Approximate cost: $30
We had our anniversary dinner there tonight, loved the garlic prawns, the veal dish and the tiramasu to follow up with. I found the dishes heavy on the salt taste but going past that i loved every bit of it.
Approximate cost: $28
the desserts here are the best thing about this restaurant. creme brulee and sticky date pudding. the mains are a bit hit and miss though. had the veal and that was really nice, but the duck wasn't great.
