I have been here four times now. It is important to book especially on warm evenings and on the weekend. Everything I have tried is delicious and the service from the staff is always done with a smile - even when busy
This place does a wonderful version of Japanese/European fusion, which is not an easy thing to do well, but they do it amazingly. The small long narrow restaurant is beautiful, the atmosphere is amazing and the food is worth the money, the choices are contemporary, inovative and different, which is always good to see. They also have some traditional favourite Japanese favourites. Their deserts are also very nice. They are a place I definetly like going back to again and again.
Approximate cost: $25 - 30
I have visited this place just once, but their food is simply amazing. It's one of the best spot to satisfy our taste buds for japanese cuisine. love their teriyaki chicken!
Yakumi is a modern contemporary Japanese restaurant located down Jetty Road in Glenelg. The service is excellent, and the quality of food is also quite high. There's a lot to choose from on the menu, so choosing what you want to eat isn't as easy as you'd think, with a magnificent range of sushi and sashimi - if you're a fan of Japanese cuisine and you haven't visited Yakumi, then you don't know what you're missing!
My favourite Japanese restaurants in Adelaide. The food is amazing and the service is great. The mixed Sushi and Sashimi platters are always good value and taste amazing. Very fresh food.
I would like to leave this section with a simple "Don't come here", but I know I have to explain.
We just wanted a simple bite and nothing extensive. However, we ordered a couple of plates and got served. All good so far. But when we tried to leave, they said there was a minimum eat in orders of $10. This was sooo not explained anywhere in the shop or on the menu!
The food itself was par. Serving sizes could have been a little more. Service was reasonble I guess.
Approximate cost: $inexp
Hi EdwardW, up until now, we had never heard of a â??minimumâ?? for a â??dine inâ?? service. Surely, if this were the case, then legally it would have to be stipulated somewhere on the premises for all patrons to see. Sounds fishy! Irrespective of this, two dishes for $10- or under, sounds like an agreeable deal. Regards, Reeces
