4 reviews about Llama Bar

We went there for dinner on Saturday and there was about 3-4 tables and one hens' night group. Ambiance-wise, we thought it was a little confused as the loud music was pumping and there was a DJ, eventhough it was just 7.30pm. As a result, it was pretty difficult to hold a conversation at times, and add that to a hens' group, you can just imagine the level of noice. I could totally understand it if Llama Bar transforms into a clubby place after dinner hours (eg, about 9pm) but the loud music spoilt it a bit for us.

Food-wise, I have only good things to report. The very friendly and professional waiter suggested the $39 per person set, and we took his recommendation. It was delicious. We each had an oyster shot, mushroom croquette, chorizo with nice honey dressing, salad, an awesome melt-in-your mouth beef cheek dish, sweat potato crisps, and 1-2 other dishes. It was basically a cross between tapas-degustation. Thumbs up for food quality and value for money. I might go back just for that, and homefully the music gets toned down.

Approximate cost: $#39

great place for a night out - i love the cocktails there. The crowd who go there are generally "after-work" crowds and is good for making new friends rather than a dodgy pick-up bar.

If you like to pay too much for parking, be around a rowdy crowd, pay too much for your drink and never be able to find a place to sit down, this place is for you. I can think of bars I would rather visit, however this place does have a nice vibe to it if you pick the right night.

This is one of favorite bars because although having a bar feel it is classier than most. The food is pretty good (if you go during the week they have a different special every night) as are the drinks (although perhaps a little pricey). Dont' come here if you just want a sit down meal because it can be hard to find somewhere comfortable to sit and eat (not many tables just stools and couches). But if you are after a drink with a nice casual meal on the side I would really recommend giving it a go. The service is not so great but it's only because they are always so busy.

Approximate cost: $25
