A great, easy going place, with both books and coffee - a great combination. The unpretenious cafe offers excellent coffees and some food - bagels, cakes, and gluten free/dairy free biccies which are beautiful. The book shop offers a wide and fascinating range, from the normal fiction to a decent collection of philosophy, poetry, travel etc.

New Edition is a trendy book store / cafe. You can sit and read your book and have a coffee from the cafe. Very handy. I have been caught up in there for a few hours reading and sipping on some coffees. They also have a good selection of books, including lots of books you don't find in many places, as well as lots of classics.

You can spend hours browsing this store and not get bored. They have books on everything imaginable. Plays, poetry, philosophy, Australian fiction, classics, everything! Unfortunately it is a bit more expensive than other stores so I usually just buy a really nice notebook or something but it's great if you can't find what you want elsewhere (or at least to browse).
