Very positive experience. Friendly staff that made you feel at ease right away. Amber and I discussed at length what I was looking for in terms of both cut and colour. She kept me informed throughout the process, explaining and answering all questions. End result - a cut and colour that suited me and was also fairly low maintenance. I feel the cost is quite reasonable considering the amount of work and time they are prepared to put in to get the desired result.

Great food. Outdoor eating area has relaxing atmosphere despite overlooking the carpark..
Normal pub food prices. Staff friendly & courteous. Anyone that doesn't want to hear the manic music of the pokie machines whilst trying to eat will appreciate this establishment.

A wonderful eclectic bookshop in the old Post Office building. Small, dimly lit isles to browse the many books. Has a cafe at the front. Serves beautiful coffee & has tempting looking pastries.

Family-run business where everyone is pretty friendly & know what's what. Huge selection of nuts, dried fruit and chocolates. Nuts seem to be nice & fresh which can be purchased individually or in a pre-mix. They also stock hard-to-get dried fruits eg. figs, cranberries, blueberries.

Your typical nice little suburban pub. Located not too far from the Caulfield Racecourse. Good for a relaxing meal during the week when its fairly quiet. Food is pretty decent & the steak is particularly nice. They also have a $9.90 menu for those not wanting to go out without spending too much.

Found the fruit & vegies very fresh - consistently better than the supermarkets. Products from the milkman also good. No preservative in bread so it needs to be eaten or frozen straight away. Reluctantly had to discontinue fruit/vegie "couples pack" as we simply couldn't get through the sheer amount they gave us plus you don't as yet get to choose what you want so there are invariably some things no-one will eat. Farmers Direct intends to introduce a Pick & Choose option soon so will take advantage of that when it becomes available.

So many pancakes!!! We always have such a problem choosing - sweet or savory? Both? My hubby & I usually end up choosing 1 sweet, 1 savory & then go halves. The mushroom niscoise is yummy & so is the bavarian apple. Note - tempting as they are - go easy on the milk-based drinks. With the pancakes it can be too much & you spend the next couple of hours regretting it.
The set up here is what sets it apart from the other pancake parlours. Spacious, yet cosy. No hustle & bustle & not at all cramped.

Very much a family/retiree-friendly environment. Comfortable set up. Kid's play area & gamezone off to one side, pokies area off to another (located far enough away that you can't hear the awful noise of the machines). Menu choice has been reduced but meal quality is still good. Typical pub grub - something for everyone. There is also a restaurant located inside the premises for people wanting a little more peace & quiet (similar but slightly more upmarket menu).

If a vegetarian cafe can please a carnivore then they are doing ok! My hubby & I have gone there a few times for late brekky & really enjoy it. The staff are always warm & friendly & are happy to give advise on what to order. Our favorite is the mock "bacon & eggs" - I don't know how they do it but the tofu actually tastes a lot like bacon. The hot chocolate is definately recommended, especially on a cold day. However, like nearly anywhere around Bay St, parking is still an issue.

Completely the opposite experience to the other customer rating. We had the souvlaki & found it to be the nicest we've had for ages - the old fashioned garlicky greek style - not your new age aussie version. The chips & potato cakes were golden & crispy & the chicken freshly cooked from over the hot ashes. The staff I found friendly even though they were very busy & they even threw in some extras at no cost.
