I had dinner here on a Monday night - great value. Everything on the bar menu is $10 on MOnday night which is great value - they have soups, chicken and vegetable dahl, cod fritters, beef rendang etc etc! All bery good meals. They also have a more upmarket menu with prices ranging from $18 - $15. It has that great relaxed pub atmosphere - but with enough room so you do not feel like you are sitting on top of people.

I caught up with a friend at Lina's for a glass of wine - it is a perfect spot. Very relaxed atmosphere, a gerat wine list and great service. They also have a great dinner menu if you are after a meal or snacks to go with your wine. If you are looking for a great place to have a function they have a wonderful function room upstairs as well.

Meni's in Murphy St is fantastic - they will alter anything for you. The quality is fantastic and it is great value. If you have something you need done urgently she will try to squeeze you in where possible. There is one on Chapel St as well but I think the Murphy St one is much better

This travel agent is perfect if you want to book flights with minimal fuss. You email them your travel details, they will come back with an itinerary and quote - change what you need to and then it is all done - all via email which makes it very easy. They seem to be able to get great deals and provide you with all the information you need.

Perfect Pieces is a beautiful shop full of beautiful pieces of furniture and homewares, mainly in French provincial style. It is fantastic value and the staff are fantastic - it is a real joy to go in and buy a gift for your self or a friend. Great engagement or wedding presents.

I have had breakfast here a couple of times and really enjoyed it. The cornbread fritters were fantastic - you are certainly very full after eating that! The service can be a bit touch and go though, and it is ofter very busy on Sat and Sun mornings

The European is a fantastic spot for a intimate dinner, you will feel like you are in a European city. The breakfasts are also wonderful, sitting at a table in the morning sun is a great way to start your day.

Hidden in a laneway, St Ali can be hard to find but it is worth it. The smell of coffee will help you find it. The coffee served is one of the best in Melbourne, you would expect it to be as they grind their own coffee out the back which you can but. The food is delicous - Middle Eastern inspired. And the lemon tarts are just divine - just the right size for a sweet treat.

A wonderful breakfast spot, the coffee is fantastic and the blintzes are an amazing breakfast treat. They also have a great range of bread and pastires which you can take away. It is hard to get a table thoguh so either get there early or be prepared to be patient and wait for a table.
