The Unicorn Ballarat is a fantastic new cafe/restaurant that has recently opened in the renovated Unicorn Hotel. Its a great place for a coffee or lunch and the entire team provide a great service. Great coffee, great food and they let you throw an old vinyl record on the record player. Highly recommended

I am a regular diner at the Ballarat Steakhouse and attend with my two somewhat fussy daughters. They both love the steak here and we have never had a bad steak. Service is occasionally best described as hap hazard at times with multiple staff doing different things which just feels a little clunky at times. I am of the opinion that it is the best cooked steak in Ballarat.

A very disappointing experience at the Bistro. We went on a Thursday evening, the dining room didnt appear to be that busy. We ordered our meals and found ourselves having to wait 70 minutes for the meal. After we had waited approximatley 1 hour we were told that we shouldnt be to much longer. When I asked why has it taken so long I was told that due to the number of walk ins the kitchen was behind. I dont expect this type of wait for a medium rare steak & two parmas at any bistro or restaurant. As we didnt order entrees a properly run bistro would have offered bread or a complimentary drink, this didnt occur. Ultimately it didnt matter how good the meals were the wait was unacceptable and I will never return nor would I recommend anyone else try this venue.

Ballarat Golf Club is a relaible Bistro experience. There is a variety of all the Bistro/Pub Classics from Steaks to Parmas, Seafood, Pizzas and everything in between. As a regular I often enjoy choosing something from the ever changing specials board.

The food is fresh and usually cooked well. Occasiionally if it gets a little busy things can slow down but overall it is a great place to enjoy a meal.

New mexican restaurant in Ballarat and pretty good competition for a sometimes complacent Zaragosa's. Menu is as you would expect with all the old favourites. As it beds down I exoect that it will be even better. Good solid cooking. Service was attentive and efficient. I will certainly give it another try
