Like many of you I have had mixed experiences at Golden City. I haven't been a big fan.

However, I went there last weekend and the meals were spectacular. By far the best meal I have had in Ballarat for a long time. In fact all the meals on our table were great. So perhaps they have picked up their game a little.

Still very noisy and cramped, but based on the meals I will certainly return for another shot in the near future.

By far the best massage I have ever had! I am now a regular client here and won't go anywhere else. Ann always uses hot stones as "standard" as well...not an optional extra. She also provides aromatherapy facials, and other packages such as body wraps. All in the comfort and privacy of her home studio.

Complete value for money. In fact the reason I first chose Ann was because she was one of the cheaper ones I could find in Daylesford.

And I also love that Ann is a mature lady. As a mother about to celebrate the 19th anniversary of my 21st birthday I immediately felt at ease with Ann (much more so than when being massaged by a very young spring chicken). :-)

This place is fantastic. The villas/apartments were clean, secure, family friendly and had great amenities. Plenty of space and everything you need.

The pool was amazing! Check out the pics on the website. Great value, a stones throw from the beach.

The private bath is simply to die for! Finish it off with lunch or morning tea at the Pavillion.

Huge selection of latest releases, family movies and old tv series. Lots of great titles to purchases as well. And the service is like it should be - good, old fashioned and friendly.

Have been here a few times. Have found it to be very hit and miss with both food quality and service.

Also never quite sure when they are going to be open, and if they are open whether the kitchen is still open.

Lovely setting by the lake, but lacks atmosphere.

Like I said - hit and miss for me.

Oh and they serve their hollandaise cold...like ice cold...not sure whats with that.

Very generous serves - so be careful not to over order. Authentic and fresh. The service was wonderful. A very pleasant dining experience.

We had heard this place was good and popped in for a weekend lunch recently. Lovely decor and setting. The meals were fabulous, generous - exceptionally good and much better than I had expected!
Table service was efficient and friendly. Family friendly place. And possibly the best parma I've ever had - big call! :-)

Monique is fabulous! So relaxed and yet she doesn't miss a beat. Spot on in recommendations of little things that you may have not thought of. Very easy to chat to and extremely professional. Great with kids as well.

Monique will help make your day everything you have dreamed of. Ours was an informal beach wedding.
