This review is for Di's Delightful Plants, Lilydale VIC

A mail order outpost of an Australian propagation nursery, Di's does have an impressive array to offer. There is a monthly selection to choose from either online or sent to your address, specials, and a garden club whereby you can receive advance notice of new varieties. When I subscribed to the mailing list, I found many plants I had been searching for, however the plants themselves were minuscule, and the postage and handling prohibitive, much more than any other M/O nursery I buy from.
However, I have recently looked at the website, and it seems some of these shortcomings may have been addressed. I will continue to peruse their lists, as there really is a wide variety, some of which I had previously only seen in books from overseas. Sometimes you just have to have a thing, regardless of the cost.

Even if you had never thought much of the average frangipani, you will be gobsmacked by the stupendous array of stunning varieties here. Virtually every colour available, through lilac, purple, dark red, vermilion, cerise, baby pink, coral, orange and tan. Last year I purchased the wondrous"Duvauchelle"; even though they had lost much of their stock due to disastrous flooding, they honoured their commitment. Mentioned in the recent book "Frangipani", they scour the world to bring us new varieties. Also sell Brugmansia (Angels Trumpet) and Sansevieria.

A brilliant concept - a bookshop just for gardeners. I always look forward to their catalogues, and have seen many hard to find or out of print books that I covet amongst the listings. There is ALWAYS something I want, including great bargains, and signed copies. There is a vast array of categories available, including garden design, landscape architecture, botanical illustration, ornamental and edible plants, biodynamics, land management, and natural history.
FAR MORE than just a bookshop, these people are passionate, devoted and helpful, I thoroughly recommend this shop to all enthusiasts.

Beautiful catalogues, wide range, helpful information. My garden isn't big enough for all those I want, but the plants I have purchased were healthy and strong. Some may descry the use of such water dependant plants, but with a little thought, everyone can enjoy the bounty this business offers. New varieties along with old favourites. Beautiful.

A mouthwatering catalogue, always more varieties than practical for me. Some stupendous flamboyants and deceptively demure singles. So much more than the garden varieties offered in bulk come winter. You never knew daffodils could be this good. Other collectors bulbs also available. M/O service.

Every year I eagerly await the arrival of the catalogue. There are always many new varieties from both the Blyths, and overseas imports, and always some that I find I cannot do without. They are very generous with free gifts with every order, and have yearly sales. The Blyths have been breeding tall bearded iris for a long time, and I sincerely hope they continue - not many of us bring so much beauty into the world. Great product, service and advice. I love this company.

More varieties of frangipani than most people know about, from white to dark red, single, double & dwarf. Several sizes available. Members login for help and updates. My plants arrived very well packed, and they answered my subsequent questions promptly. Some very good prices and unique frangipanis available here. Sell plants, books, flowers, and other products.

This review is for Digger's Club, Dromana VIC

I originally wanted to join diggers years ago, but was sick of putting in gardens for landlords, so I joined before the ink on the mortgage was dry. There were some initial problems, true, but these have largely been addressed. They sometimes get VERY busy the first few weeks after a catalogue comes out, and delays can be experienced. However the staff are helpful and have given me one order completely free, when problems occurred. The concept is good, the articles and information riveting and conciousness raising. There are some items I thought I would never own and are unavailable through local outlets - I finally got the Greengage plum tree I had wanted since I was 10y, which other fruit tree wholesalers had dropped due to drought. Mouthwatering range of melons and strawberries. New varieties every year. They also have workshops and a kids membership, and helped the bushfire victims replant.
