Beth S did an amazing blonde Half head highlight For me! Beautiful golden blonde that looks natural and exactly what I wanted! She also did a gorgeous job on my 13 year old. We added a few blonde baby lights. Subtle and natural and appropriate for a 13 year old. Highly recommend Beth.

Hi! My experience was very good on my appointment for balayage. Levi is very kind and I leave a very nice color in my hair, just as I told him. I only have one small comment: Maybe I would have liked it more degraded until I got to the clearer tone, this may be because I did not know how to explain it completely, because I speak another language. But however I am very happy. Excellent professional. You could send me the photos that Levi took from my hair_ or upload it to instragram, I follow them from my account. thanks!

Levi is a great hairdresser - he listens, he takes into consideration the hair as well as lifestyle and I always get a really quality cut. The haircut lasts, I continue to style it and feel good about it, and am just generally pleased with the high quality of service.

Alyx and her staff at Salon Forma are like the dream team of talented hairdressers. Since discovering to the salon over a year ago, my hair has never looked so good. Everyone comments on my shorter hair style and I can't recommend Salon Forma enough! As a bonus, the salon has a great location too in the Elwood village area.

It is difficult finding a great hairdresser these days so I was so happy to find one just blocks away! A real gem in Elwood. Would highly recommend him to everyone.

A friend in Elwood Tina brought me here when I told her I really liked her bob. It was girls day so I let her and I'm glad for this unplanned visit. When I came back to Melbourne in 2009, I was looking for someone who could fill the shoes of my o/s hairdresser. A friend recommended Alyx and I have not strayed since! Alyx and her team are highly experienced and professional, but more than that, they make you feel at home. You will leave feeling refreshed, fabulous and relaxed. Don't hesitate, just go. Alyx is a terrific stylist and colourist as well as being a smart and respectful person. She is always current with hair trends and colours. The salon is beautiful and so relaxing unlike other salons where there is so much hype and ego. Ive tried several salons in Elwood, South Melbourne etc but Alyx and her team win hands down The cuts and colour are so natural and sexy. Everyone walks out happy!

I've been seeing Darren for years now and he is an amazing hairdresser. He recently moved to this salon, and needless to say, I moved with him. I usually get a cut (long layers) and colour (balayage). He always knows what'll suit my skin tone and face shape, and I completely trust his advice re: my hair. I'd highly recommend him!

Going to the salon is a great experience from the yummy tea to the lingering head massage whilst having your hair washed. I am new to Melbourne and was dreading the search for a new hairdresser when I was lucky enough to move down the road from Salon Forma. I have been blown away each time I visit, not only by the exceptional haircuts, colours and blowwaves, but by the amazing staff that provide these services. They always achieve the exact result you desired when you walked in the door and will keep working until they achieve perfection. The lovely Tori even called and left a message for me tonight to check up on my colour and that I was happy with it. I have never experienced this level of customer service elsewhere. I cannot recommend this salon enough and have definitely found my go-to hair angels!

With intrepidation as this was my 1st haircut at Salon Forma (and in Australia) I rocked up for my appointment with Andy. He listened to my requirements and fulfilled them exactly. I was very happy with my cut, colour and blow dry and booked for my next appointment before I left. Pricing was pretty standard for this type of salon. Hoping this will become my regular salon for years to come.

Alex and the team have a great personable approach to their customers and the visits are always enjoyable. Unlike many previous salons that I've tried I always walk out happy with my cut after seeing Alex and find that it is easy to maintain between visits. I had a balayage from another hairdresser that I wasn't happy with (difference in colour was far too much for my liking), and Steph did a great colour correction to get rid of the balayage, and lighten it up to a blonde, and it now looks great. She explained the process really well, and understood what I wanted. All the staff were lovely and I'll definitely be returning.

Love Synergy have been a client with Alyx for over a year now. Love the relaxed non pretentious atmosphere. I have thick coarse hair & have always found it hard to find a hairdresser that understands how to style it to my liking. I recently had appointment with Andrew because Alyx wasn't available & found him to be excellent too. ( In fact I would feel comfortable with any stylist at Synergy )

I am new to the area having only recently moved to Bayside and needed to find an experienced hairdresser as I have extremely coarse, wiry, thick, curly....basically totally unmanageable hair! A work colleague recommended Synergy Elwood to me and and as she also has thick curly hair I thought I'd give them a go. I was booked in with Andrew who is from the UK and was actually a really nice guy. He took the time to listen to my concerns and talked me through the style that would work for my hair type and face shape. He also told me how to look after it at home and what to use to make it more manageable. I spent a few hours in the salon having a colour, treatment (with a wonderful scalp massage in their zen den) and cut & blow dry. I wanted to wait for a week or so before writing this review as I stepped out the salon feeling a million dollars! The most important thing for me though is how I can cope with my hair at home and now I can honestly say this is the best cut and colour I have ever had. I asked for a rich deep mahogany which is exactly what I have now and Andrew has designed a style that works with my strong hair movement so I don't have to fight with it in the mornings. Thanks Synergy, I will recommend you to everyone!

I am always satisified with how my hair looks after an appiontment. Alyx does an exceptional job with my highlights and is the only hairedresser I've had that never takes too much off when cutting my hair. The head massages are simply wonderful and I feel very pampered. I always look forward to my next appointment. Though my hair is long now I'm considering a short hair cut just so I need more appointments to maintain it. :o)

I wanted a complete change from my dark long tied back unglamorous hair to a fresher lighter shorter style. I looked online for a local Elwood hairdresser and Synergy stood out. So I went to my appointment nervously, although I had a consult with Christy the week before. She said she could do a similar look to my pictures and add in caramel foils away from my hairline so I wouldn't be in the salon too frequently, which I was concerned about. So I was shampooed, coloured, cut and blowaved for the next three hours or so. In the end I became so bold I asked Christy to go shorter, which she did up to the nape of my neck and longer around my chin - and I suspect she had a late lunch (sorry!). I appreciated she went the extra mile. I remember Alyx and I think Amber checking in on me too, and the lovely zen garden while I was at the sink upstairs. I left the salon feeling fresh, light and with a spring in my step. A few days later I met a nice man. And received 2 credit vouchers that week for both being a new customer and my birthday. So I am a very happy customer looking forward to her next visit!

This year I finally made the move down to Melbourne and after a long search I feel that I have finally found a salon that almost feels like home.With difficult curly hair... I'm a guy who has straight, thick hair and if not cut properly, looks terrible and shows chop marks, so it was after a good amount of time looking for an exceptional hairdresser, that excelled in cutting, that I found Alyx at Synergy. Now here is a hairdresser that has learn't her craft the right way with years as a an apprentice to skilled hairdressers. No "push'em through a college in 12 month" hairdressers here. I travel from Western Victoria to Elwood every couple of months to be spoiled by the excellent service at Synergy and I'm always extremely satisfied with the cut and attention to detail by Alyx. Synergy and it's staff have a relaxed feel as soon as you arrive and I swear your blood pressure will drop as soon as you enter the salon. If that doesn't work the great head massage or the massage chairs when you are having your hair washed and conditioned will do the trick. Synergy Salon and Alyx-Great atmosphere, great hair and great coffee. Highly recommended.

Synergy Elwood is a lovely modern Salon with amazing friendly staff. I went from being a blonde to a brunette and I just love it â€“ they picked a fantastic colour for me and had a great haircut as well. Synergy Elwood is by far the best salon I have been to in many many years. The expertise of the staff in cutting, colouring, blow waves, up-styles etc is just fantastic. I have been going there for 3 years now and they have never dissapointed. Staff are professional, the salon is lovely and comfortable. I am in there about twice a week for a blow wave and I would not have any other salon cut or colour my hair. I also really like that they can do "beautiful hair" and funky edgy stuff too. I can't wait to see what we are going to do for Spring Carnival hair do's. They really collaborate with you and deliver you the very best. I am still extremely happy three years later. I have taken friends and family here and they have all felt the same. I would not go anywhere else that's for sure.

Visiting Synergy Hair Elwood is the oasis in my week... As soon as I walk in, I am greeted by one of the friendly staff. When I am seated and robed my favourite drink is always waiting for me, along with all my preferred magazines â€“ it's the little things like that, that makes the visit all the more special. After a plethora of bad hairdressers who each left me with haircuts and colours that I would love to forget, I finally found Alyx... Alyx is intuitive and brilliant and has an exceptional eye for what cuts and colours will suit the shape of my face, the complexion of my skin and the colour of my eyes. I never leave the salon unsatisfied and always look forward to my next visit. People constantly comment on how great my hair is and ask for the name of the salon I go to and my hairdressers' name. I am not easily pleased and find fault in most things, everyone I know can most certainly attest to that; however Alyx and Synergy Hair Elwood never fall short in my eyes. I have no qualms about referring Aylx and Synergy Hair Elwood as they are nothing less than exceptional. So, to everyone out there looking for a new hair salon, give them chance â€“ you have nothing to lose, just great hair to gain!

Moved house two years ago and rommed from hairdresser to hairdresser to find one that was as good as my old hairdresser. Found Shane who seemed to intuitively know how my hair needed to be cut to look the best. Shane is amazing and seems to be very popular as it can be difficult to get an appointment with him at times. I am very happy I have found such a fantastic hairdresser so close to home. Have also had my hair coloured by Alyx and would happily recommend her also

i think I'm about to give the BEST rating ever first of all i was greeted by the beautiful amber who is a very nice lady and pretty hot to :D then my stylist Alex (who is also very hot)came over and discussed what we were going to do which was awesome then she took me upstairs to have the B E S T hair wash i have EVER had i was getting a treatment and a blowave done so she does one massage of the treatment and leaves the massage chair on for me BLISSSSSSSSS then comes back 10 minutes later and does it again :O i had the best massage not once but TWICE :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D and then we came back down from heaven :( and then she straightened she used Sebastian potion 9 and really worked it through :D:D:D and having to go back to work afterwards was not fun honestly your in dreamland for the rest of the day and its very hard to concentrate and i cant stop feeling how silky and glossy my hair is

I had high hopes for this one after meeting one of the hairdressers. Actually I think it was Shayne, not the toddler but the other guy. Anyway, went in to meet them and try for an appointment as my previous hairdresser moved! The guy said he had no time that day and we'd make it another, fine. Then the pushy owner in the background gave him some signal which mean't no you will do her hair now and he suddenly became available. So then he proceeded to BANG ON about how he doesn't do styles he just does what comes to him etc etc. Yeah fair enough, you certainly seem to have a lot of confidence so I would give it a shot. He then charged me the complete upper limit of what he quoted. Longer hair doesn't quite work well with a lop-sided look dear with some weird tentacles at the front. Gave it three days and cut the tentacles off myself. Bit of a let down for the price and how much he'd talked himself up. The whole time he and his side-kick just kept telling me I should cut my hair short. Yeah guys, like I said not that day so spur of the moment. So move on and embrace my decision rather than keep going on about it through the entire cut and finding customers to agree with you. I don't ask for much but my haircut should be a little bit about me too. Sorry but it was too all about you and how fab you are...but it did not measure up.

I wanted a new hairdresser as I hadn't really found one I liked since moving 2 years ago. I saw Monica for my haircolour - she is also the manager. She did a very natural looking colour and was lovely to chat to throughout. Then I saw Shayne for the hair cut. He understood exactly what I was after and the haircut seems quite good. I'll definitely be going back there.
