The Gallery supports the local community - I had a silent auction voucher from the nearby primary school fete for a half head of foils and they treated me like a fully paying customer, didn’t cut corners even though my half head of foils probably cost them more than they bargained for when they signed up (have a lot of hair!). I think I will be going back there in future, not because I was subjected to a sales pitch, but because they did a great job.

Because Jenine and her staff are always professional and friendly, they care about the customer and the environment and after many years of getting my hair cut and styled there, I’m still happy with the result. I always see Jenine for a cut & colour and she does such an excellent job every time. I always walk out extremely happy with the result. She provides honest advice about what will suit which is refreshing and appreciated. I get my hair cut with the heated scissors and it has made such a difference in minimising split ends and my hair looks much more healthy! I have been a regular at Sandton Hair Gallery for years now and have always found the service to be top notch. I particularly appreciate the tips and techniques that Janine and the staff have given me to manage and care for my extremely frizzy and thick hair. Right from the start they listened to my concerns and they never do anything that I do not want done. I always walk out of the salon feeling great. My hair has never looked better or healthier and I get compliments regularly about how healthy and well groomed my hair is. Janine really knows hair and has recently started offering natural treatments for balding which, even though I don't need, I will recommend highly to a couple of people I know who worry about this issue because I know they will get the best of care.

I visited them the first time before Christmas I was surprised they had an appointment in the last minute I decided to go after seeing a review on Word of mouth Its been the best salon ever my hair hasn't looked this good for years the price is reasonable.Everyone is very friendly and accomodating your needs I left a very happy customer and I don't mind the travel from Northcote where I'm working I'm usually very very afraid when I go somewhere the first time I've been known to go home crying from a hairdresser appointment ( that was years ago) I hope you'll give them a chance to show you how amazing they are

I was looking for a new Salon as the one I'd been going to for years had become ridiculously expensive and the service had started to drop off. I found Sandton by doing a search on line. Janine did a fantastic cut. She understood exactly what I wanted. im looking forward to going back this week and using the voucher I received on my first visit. I would recommend Sandton to anyone looking for a great service at a very reasonable price. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming.

My sister recommended me and I am very happy with the service. Everyone commented on how lovely and fresh my cut and colour was. It suited my face and personality. This is very important. Before cutting, I was asked what I wanted and consulted throughout so there were no surprises at the end. I know it's a little daunting to visit a new hairdresser but Sandton is worth it. Absolutely recommend.

Was visiting Melbourne recently (from Canberra) and looking for a good salon that could touch up my colour and try and tidy up my last haircut which had been pretty terrible (think mullet) and expensive! I am delighted to report that my experience at Sandton exceeded my expectations. Ashley did a fabulous job restyling my hair and the colour was great. The down side for me now is travelling to Melbourne every time I need a hair cut!

My husband and I were visiting from Ireland and staying with our son and his family in Melbourne. I needed to have my hair done. Having read some very positive reviews about Sandton Hairdressers, I decided to give them a try. I was so glad that I did. I had my hair cut and coloured at a very reasonable price. Everybody at Sandtons was really friendly. I will definitely be back!

I've finally found my new hairdresser! After some average results at other salons, I couldn't be happier than with service I was provided with at Sandton. I didn't really know what I wanted when I walked in and Ashley did a great job at interpreting my needs and what would suit me. I had a cut, foils and my re -growth attended to at a very reasonable price however, I also used a $25 voucher available online with your first appointment with them.

I have just returned from my first visit to Sandton Hair Gallery; I honestly believe it is the best haircut I have ever received! I was looking for a new hairdresser and found Sandton via Womo. I called this morning and they were able to fit me in today. From that very first phone call, I could tell that Sandton offered outstanding service. Joanne spent at least five minutes discussing my hair with me and what I might like to do with it before booking my appointment. I had to take my 4 year old daughter with me and Joanne couldn't have been kinder or more accommodating about that. She made both me and my daughter feel like we had been coming to Sandton for years. Joanne looked after my daughter while I was having my hair cut - she asked my daughter to "help" her with her jobs (I put "help" in quotation marks as a 4 year old can only offer limited assistance in a workplace!). Joanne even got my daughter to sit with her at the front desk to draw pictures and write numbers for her - this was definitely above and beyond! My daughter can now write the number "4" and she couldn't before our visit! Stella cut my hair and she did an AMAZING job. I hadn't had my hair cut in almost 12 months and it was a tangled, thick, neglected, long mess. Stella made suggestions based on what I said I wanted from my hair and delivered a hair cut that is perfect for me! Thank you Stella and thank you Sandton for a great experience! I paid $65 for a cut and blow-dry which I think is excellent value given the standard of the cut. It would have been $55 but I opted for the special scissors that seal the ends of your hair (costs an extra $10).

Absolute best hairdresser in Melbourne! I travel over an hour to get to Janine and it is so worth it. She gets hair. I've paid three times the price at top salons and have never gotten the level of service or quality of cut that she provides. I fully recommend her.

Today was the first time I used this Salon and I am very impressed. Joanne went out of her way to help me with my recent problem....skin irritations. I also was told by a Dr. that I had to was my hair daily. This was a concern for me and I did not want my hair damaged by this. Joanne and Jenine, ( the person that did my hair) could not have been more helpful, professional, informative and competent in their dealings with me. Also helping me to purchase Organic products and informing me on the way to use them. It was an enjoyable experience. I feel this is where I will go in future, and what a bonus it is in my suburb!. The ladies at Sandton greet you with respect and courtesy. Their recommendations for a hair style to suit different hair types is spot on and I have never had a bad hair cut ever. The salon is light and airey and you are always guaranteed to get a lovely herbal tea. Keep up the fantastic work Ladies.

I have been a client of Sandton from the start. I have found them to be highly skilled, knowledgeable and friendly with great customer service. My hair is naturally very thick and fluffy so it never could hold a style properly no matter how good the cut. That's when Sandton came to my rescue with their great hair straightening techniques and I've been having it done for several years now. I never thought I could have 'good' hair but Jo and Jenine worked their magic and now it is nice and sleek. The results last for several months and I am very glad they came to Mitcham.

I went to Sandton Hair Gallery for the first time 10 years ago (I had bought a haircut at a silent auction) - I was very impressed and enjoyed going there. When we moved out of the area I experimented with a number of hairdressers in the new area who were all 'okay'. When we moved back into the area two years ago, one of my first calls was to see if I could book a hair appointment with Janine. I haven't looked back. The colour always looks great, I get loads of compliments from friends re my hair and quite frankly I just enjoy visiting the salon. I am always greeted by name by all staff who are as attentive and as chatty as required but also very respectful of giving me space when I bring work in to do or just don't feel like chatting.

If you have very fine hair which is dead straight as I do you will know how hard it is to find a good cutter. Well I have struck the jackpot! Zoe of Sandton has cut my hair to perfection every time I go and it is now about 2 years she does a perfect job of cut and colour each and every time. I am always getting complements for my hair which is the first in my life I cannot recommend this salon more strongly for problem hair like mine.

I have always disliked going to the hairdresser because I have no patience with making inane conversation. Visiting Sandton Hair Gallery is fun, interesting and like hanging out with friends. The conversation is always fascinating. An added advantage is: my hair always looks spectacular and I get loads of compliments. Apparently I am the only person who doesn't get helmit hair!! It must be the great cut and style. I look forward to my 6 weekly appointment and drive an hour to get there. Much can change in my life - but my hairdresser won't. Jo did a fantastic cut and blow dry for me. My hair is very difficult to cut straight and one side is thicker than then other and she cut my hair perfectly. The service and friendliness of the staff make you want to go back time and time again. Also the products used are superb. Thanks for a great experience.

If your after a great short haircut then I highly recommend Zoe. She listens, takes her time, uses scissors rather than clippers and most importantly cuts extremely well. I'm definitely going back. $55 worth it for a great cut!

My 2 daughters and myself have been clients of Sandton for the last 5 years (at least). Service is always great and none of us have ever been unhappy with our hair. Being a regular they always do their best to accomodate a last minute appointment if they can. Would highly recommend Sandton to everyone.

My first visit to this salon was amazing. The personalized service was well received. the staff are so friendly and well informed on natural hair care.I left the salon with my hair looking so healthy and shiny. I love the natural colours they use which are ammonia free.

I've been going to Santon Hair Gallery for a little over two years now. I've had cuts for long hair and also made the transition to quite short. Jeanine has been great, I've always been really happy with the way the cut turns out and how easy it is to style. The salon is comfortable and the staff are always very friendly. Over the last 2 years, I've visited Melbourne 3 times and have had my hair cut by Jeanine each visit. Each time I've got a hair cut that is stylish, easy to care for and draws lots of compliments. My San Diego pals always ask where I got the great cut and are disappointed that they can't access the shop more easily for themselves. Loved the head massage while shampooing, also.

The experience I have at Santon Hair Gallery is lovely. The admin and hairdressers are all friendly and we have great conversations. They provide heated scissors which helps your fuse and deters split-ends. The products are environmentally friendly, and i love helping local businesses!

I went to Sandton by chance, to see if they could fix an absolute disaster of a haircolor that I had received from another local hairdresser. Well, I wish I had gone here years ago. My color was stripped out, re-done perfectly, better than it had ever been, and my hair looked amazing. Also, the products SHG use never affected my scalp like others before. I had to take an antihistamine after every hairdo to stop the itching, so its a huge relief not to do this. The staff are very friendly, ON TIME, and professional. I also love the young lady "Stella" who works there. Polite, helpful, and very good at what she does. Would I recommend SHG to others? All ready have, and will continue to do so. Keep up the great work SHG, you are the best

I had a cut and blow wave today by Zoe. She was lovely, listened really well and explained everything she was going to do and why. It always nerve-wracking going somewhere new but I needn't have worried. My hair is very thick and has a persistent curl but Zoe tamed it perfectly. Will definetly be going back.

I have gone from average looking to beautiful thanks to Sandton Hair Gallery. I have always had straight blonde hair that I had trimmed for $15 a few times a year. I didn't like going to hairdressers, because I found it annoying. I met one of the owners of Sandton Hair Gallery socially and asked what they would do to save my hair from the dowdy look it was starting to have. The advice I got was so honest and intelligent that I made an appointment. I have moved to Brisbane and I have returned to live in Caulfield, but I never miss my six weekly hair appointment with Jenine. She's an interesting and intelligent hairdresser, who makes my hair look amazing all the time. People regularly comment on how beautifully it falls and how glamorous I look. My daily hair management: I brush it in the morning: that's all. Do I recommend Sandton Hair gallery? Well I have travelled from brisbane to get my hair done - I think that says it all.

I've also been particularly impressed in how patient Zoe is when cutting my little boy's hair. I was extremely pleased with the cut (Janine cut my hair) and colour, and the staff are very friendly. Janine really listened and tuned into what sort of style cut I was after. The salon has a very welcoming and relaxing feel. There is a central table where customers can relax, read magazines and have a cuppa. I would highly recommend it.

Wow!! Thank god for WOMO. I was so fortunate to stumble across WOMO searching for a hairdresser in the area I've just moved into. Sandton rates highly here & for VERY good reason. It may look unassuming but their service is exemplary. I had Janine. She asked me what I wanted - I don't really have a clue, I just want something that is effortless, low maintenance, as short as possible but can still be tied up. I have frizzy/curly hair and just don't want it to look boofy. Guess what? I actaully got my wish!! i think Janine is my fairy godmother of hairdressing, and she made it look so effortless. I seriously have the best haircut I've ever had. You can keep your Toni & Guy, & other fancy places. I'm sticking with Sandton! Thanks

The cut was great, the store owner is very friendly and makes you feel at ease. The girl who did my color kept trying to get me to have a permanent color when i wanted a semi. I'm not overly happy with the color and am wondering if it really is a semi as my hair looks lighter to me. Very shiny though. A big negative for me was that they dont use any gel around the hairline to stop color staining your face. Now I have to go to work with embarrassing stains. i reread the reviews on this business and found a lot of reviews from people with low trust ratings and a total of 1 review on a business. Something to think about. A mixed experience for me.

I went to this hairdresser based on these reviews....I wish I hadn't. I asked for a good trim off the end and layers. I have ended up with what looks like a long bob and another longer layer. The attempt at fixing it when I went back was not any better unfortunately. I am so disappointed, every time I look in the mirror I think how awful my hair looks. I will now be going to another hairdresser to try and get it fixed!!

I phoned in need of a quick haircut and they were able to fit me in straight away. From the warm greeting at the door, ushered to a chair, offered a cup of tea/coffee, seen to right away by a stylist who gave me a consult and then it was straight in for a shampoo/condition. The heated scissors are a great addition and hopefully I won't need another haircut as soon. The lady gave me a cool blow-wave and I was out in 45 minutes. Very friendly, great service, they knew what I wanted and were straight forward. I was pleasantly surprised that even with my very long hair, when I went to pay for a wash/cut/heated scissors/blow-wave it only cost me $60. I'd called around a few places in forest hill and it was $80 just for a trim. They will get a repeat visit from me.

I went to Sandton Hair Gallery after a bad experience at another hairdressers. My hair was cut by a lovely young lady named Lydia who not only cut out the damage done previously but also recommended some excellent products to help my hair looking its best. She cut my hair with heat scissors to help seal the ends and put some treatments in my hair to keep it silky soft. I would recommend Sandton to anyone .

Zoe cut layers around my face when I specifically said not to. It was also lopsided. I went back and Janine could not fix it without making it shorter - so I got a voucher. They said it was a miscommunication and one shoulder is higher than the other. It's not right to put the blame on me. The receptionist kept telling me how unusual that is and how my hair looks great. The thing is - I had spent 9months growing my hair. And I didn't want face layers. It's too late now. And although Zoe was super friendly and lovely - I wish I'd stuck with Janine or Denise.

As I'm sure everyone is aware, finding a decent hairdresser is a feat in itself. But finding a good hairdresser who genuinely cares for their customers and (particularly in this day & age) actually knows what customer service means is an ever rarer feat. Take note - Sandton Hair Gallery is one of those rare gems. The elusive needle in that giant haystack; the diamond in the rough; rarer than pigs with false hens teeth flying!! Well, you get my point :) Book an appointment and make it a long one; book in for every service you can think of (within budget of course) as you will need the time just to get through a tenth of all the magazines you're interested in!! The fact that they are all current is a miracle in itself so take advantage. There are relaxing, reclining, massage chairs at the basins and all the products are organic and smell amazing - somehow even the bleach doesn't smell so bleachy; though I haven't experienced the telltale whiff of perming solution yet... I had the honour of Janene's company as my hairdresser for the afternoon who managed that perfect balance between leaving my ears alone so my brain could absorb all the fabulous 'news' the magazines had for me, and making good conversation when my eyes needed a break or it was inconvenient to be reading - such as relaxing at the basin in the massage chair! Next on my hit list for Sandton is to try out the fancy-pants electric scissors. I hear tales that these things do for split ends what nancy ganz does for muffin tops! Of course, there is only one way to find out if my rambling is sage advice or not and that is to try them for yourself! If not for the magazines and general feeling of fabulous you will walk out with, then go so you can tell your grandkids one day about your experience with the long forgotten art of truly great customer service. You know it's treading the same path as the Tassie Tiger & Dodo...

I had balayage colour, cut and blowdry done and am very happy with the quality. I was nervous to get balayage but Zoe did it naturally as requested. I have struggled to find a salon that I am happy with and this one lives up to the positive reviews. It was reasonably priced and great value for money for the results.

I was greeted by one of the friendliest lady. I didn't have any booking but she made sure she could fit me in for a haircut. And i was being served to a very patience lady because i didn't know what hair style i wanted. She would tell me several choices that would suit my round face and i was very pleased with her work. And of course, the friendly lady sent me off with a pleasant farewell as well. Great value, great service, and great result. Couldn't ask for more!

Excellent hairdressers in every way...I went here for the first time a few weeks ago and was very impressed and pleased that I have found such a good hairdressers so close to home...All staff were very friendly and professional. I wanted a new colour and Zoe gave me honest advise on what would work for me, and I was thrilled with the result and have never had so many good comments from people about my hair. It's the only salon I have been to that uses heated scissors which protect your hair from split ends..I have been to many top salons here and in England and found that Sandton more than matches up to the high standard I like in a salon. I won't be going anywhere else again and recommend anyone looking for a new hairdresser to make an appointment, you'll be glad you did.

The first time I went here I was very happy but the second time was a different story. When I booked in I was clear about what I wanted and how much time I had. I also checked the price. However, when I had my appointment and said what I wanted the hairdresser suggested that something else would be more suitable. I stressed that with a baby I had little time to do my hair before leaving for work and wouldn't be able to blow dry. I wasn't convinced with the suggested colour and I said that I didn't think it would look good on me. She said there was a photo but couldn't find it. I said I would be happy if there was a greater hair colour contrast such as red etc but as she was the professional would be guided. I was assured that it would be subtle. Once the colour was done there was a clear line 2/3 up my hair - not just the ends and not subtle. It was very yellow. I asked if a toner would be applied but it wasn't going to be. The hair dresser agreed that it was not as expected and I came back in the afternoon to have it adjusted. The hairdresser also adjusted my base colour to be lighter than previously and put a tint over the ends. After it was styled I agreed that I must relieved - but I still had my doubts. Then I was totally annoyed at the price which was twice what I had been told. The next day I washed it and a lot of the colour came out of the ends so it looks yellow again. The ends are like straw and even after two days of using leave in conditioners and treatments it has only got slightly better. I was even told I looked like I had bleached my hair at home and run out half way before getting dragged through a hedge backwards. It also took around 5 hours. All in all not a great color but cut seems ok after 2 washes.

In Dec2011 I chose to go to Sandtone after reading the reviews at WOMO, so coming back to give mine.e. Jane cut my hair and I was very satisfied. The final look after the blow dryer was awesome. I didn't want to reduce my hair length & unlike others she actually took great care of that & also of not experimenting a lot in one cut. All in all i was happy to know that Jane heard me of what i wanted & it actually came that way..how often does that happen..hun!! I travelled 30km one way to visit the salon but it was worth it!!

I have been to Sandton 3 times now. Once for a (long) haircut, once for a color and once for a fringe trim. Each time I have had a positive experience and felt that I received good value for money. Zoe does a lovely cut, by the way.

I was a new customer who came with some difficult experiences elsewhere so I was very nervous. Zoe was fantastic and listened to what I asked her and was extremely professional throughout the cut, colour and blow wave. I came out feeling a million dollars and had the haircut I asked for. I will be going back and taking my teenage daughter and son too. (can't take hubby cas he's bald!) The whole team were very welcoming and the salon had a great atmosphere. I went to get my curly locks trimmed with the heated scissors, more out of curiosity, and the promise of fewer trims inbetween, as an end result ;) I have to say, I was really impressed with the honesty and no nonsense approach that I recieved in regards to my haircut today. Jenine really listened to what I wanted and did a great job in return. I will definately be coming back, thankyou :)

I have bought products from Sandton and have had my hair done for a special occasion and on both accounts they have been fantastic. Nothing is ever too much trouble and they go to great lengths to make sure you are happy. I have a hairdresser friend who cuts and colours my hair but if I even need a back up salon then there's no question as to where I go - Standton!

The staff are brilliant, always greeting me with a friendly smile and cup of tea. My lovely locks have been every length, shape, size and colour thanks to Janine and her fab team. The various hairdressers have been cutting my hair for the past 6 years and I have never been disappointed. They know exactly how to interpret my hairstyling requests to a style that suits my face shape. I have tried other hairdressers (usually when I've moved further away) but have always come back for the ladies to fix my hair. The in-depth knowledge which they posses about hair, colour, techniques etc is second to none and I would (and have) highly recommend them to men & women of all ages. Recently when I went to the Caulfield Cup, I needed a hairstyle which was fashionable, yet easy to maintain and would withstand the elements (wind, rain, shine). The staff were able to give me the exact cut I wanted (with the aid of images which I had sourced) and show me how to maintain the style.

Have you ever heard of heated scissors? Neither had I, until I parked out the front of Sandton Hair Gallery by chance. Intrigued by the concept and still looking for a good hairdresser, I decided to make an appointment. I am so glad I did! I have long hair and I like to keep it long, but obviously in great condition. All the other hairdressers I have been to in the past always cut off what I've just grown and some! How frustrating! I also have curly hair that has a mind of its own and since having my hair cut with the heated scissors I don't have to have as much cut off and my hair is more manageable. So finally, my hair is growing and looking wonderful at the same time. The entire staff at Sandton Hair Gallery are friendly, polite, helpful and very professional. Even after going for so long, they don't lose their professionalism. You always feel like their most important client. I have been going there ever since and wouldn't go anywhere else. Do your hair a favour and try the heated scissors, you'll love the results!

I have been going to Sandton Hair Gallery for about 8 years. It was close to my location and I chose them because of the type of hair colour they use. The professional and friendly service and the relaxing atmosphere made me come back year after year. Unfortunately I have now moved interstate. Joanne was so kind to find out a hair salon using the same colour which was great. Thanks Joanne. I have visited this one once so far. They are ok but not as good, should I return to Melbourne, I will definitely go back to Sandton Hair Gallery.

What a pleasure it is to sit on the massage chair and have my hair treated and massaged while washed. Or browse through one of the latest local and international magazines while I have my color done or my hair cut. I have been a customer of Sandton Hair Gallery for over 7 years now. I decided to go there when I heard about their amazing hot scissor cuts. When I heard about the benefits for fine, long, fizzy, curly or split hair. I couldnt get in there fast enough. My hair was fine long coloured prone to splitting and at times dry and damaged . despite having used recommened salon ranges and regualr monthly cuts. Thanks to Jos avid interest in getting my hair back into good working order, and recommending the right home care for my type hair, and her skill with the hot scissors. I how have a head of strong shiney smooth shoulder lenght hair, that has no damage or split ends any where up the hair shaft. Jo keeps a keen eye on my hair and is quick to recommend different products if I need them. Beause my hair is now looking its best I have had so many people comment on the condition. I have recommended many people go and have the hot scissor cuts. I throughly enjoy going to Sandton Hairy Gallery, it has a freindly warm atmosphere, and the staff look after you very well. After not the greatest colour and cut here recently, I wrote a review based on my experience. Joann (the owner) personally phoned me to discuss my experence and then promptly booked me in to amend my colour & cut with another hairdresser. Joann was right on the ball; ensuring that I was completely happy, which I am, and Janine, whom I saw, was great. Although initially my experience was not great (-the stylist had not previously done my hair) the follow up and effort to correct it was fantastic. So not only do they do great hair, any problems that you may have are quickly and professionally dealt with. One thing I would say is to make sure you book in with your preferred hairdresser.

This is a great salon. Have been going for just on a year now. All the girls are great - Joanne, Jenine, Jane and Zoe. I get cut and colour every 8 weeks or so and I am very pleased with the reults. The massage chairs are great too - a very relaxing experience. They are always punctual and remind you of your appointment the day before. All natural products are great

I've been going to Sandton Hair Gallery for approx. 5 years, & first approached them because they use more natural hair products, less chemicals. They provide great customer service, very friendly, take the time to find out what you want, & have heaps of current mags to catch up on! Janene cuts & colours my hair - does a great job. I've just tried their new hair straightener - a Keratin hair relaxant. Joanne applies this. So far, so good with this product, only just got it done, so I'm yet to make a full appraisal! I've got really difficult, thick, curly, boofy hair. I've had it straightened for years at Sandton & have always been happy with the result, but tried the new Keratin straightening - hopefully for a more natural look as my hair grows out. Staff are very friendly, their apprentice Lydia has a very pleasant manner as well. Very happy to recommend Sandton to others. I'm still going there 5 years on!

Very comfortable environment for a bloke to get his hair cut (not to be underestimated) The staff are always friendly (it was Zoe today), and I always leave feeling like I've caught up with old friends. No fuss, good quality haircut! Quick, without being rushed (although I could have spent an extra hour in the massage chair).

I phoned this salon to make a follow up hair appointment since my last visit. This time however I was very disappointed. I never got any further than the phone call, as I was left feeling very disheartened. I phoned to see the possibility of an appointment on a Saturday and as they were fully booked they suggested the waiting list. I thought this was a great idea in case something did come up. However, when I tried to ask to make an alternate appointment (just in case nothing came up from the waiting list) the staff member just... hung up on me. (After saying goodbye as I kept interrupting) I was left stuttering and still chatting to no-one on the other end of the line. Customer service is imperative in such a work environment like hairdressing. I have never known a salon to only offer a waiting list spot without trying to ensure and secure an actual appointment. I have never found anyone else' phone manner to be as rude as hers in all of my experiences (telemarketers included!) After my first positive experience I suggested this salon to a friend who phoned up straight away to have her hair coloured. As I, she too was charged more than what was said on the phone to her and the colour she asked for came out wrong. Fortunately they did spend the time to correct it for her. Perhaps these guys are getting too busy with all of this positive feedback to help their customers 100 %.

After reading reviews I went to Sandton for a haircut. I was welcomed straight away, no waiting, and came away with a terrific haircut, feeling good about the whole experience. Jenine listened and interpreted what I wanted perfectly. I will be going back for sure!

I just read the first review I left here in April 2008 and I am glad to say nothing has changed. Over 4 years I've been so happy with the quality of the cuts and the service really is second to none. I even got a birthday discount with my last cut! I've just moved across town but am going to keep going to Sandton. I really doubt I will find as good a team anywhere else. I really trust Janine's advice.

Moving into Mitcham 8 years ago I found Sandton and haven't been to another hair dresser since. My husband and kids also go there now. Janine and Jo are interesting, happy people and provide a lovely atmosphere in the hair salon. I wish I could get my hair washed every day at Sandton, their massage chairs at the basins are amazing and all their team give wonderful head massages. Janine is not pushy when it comes to trying different colors or styles but happy to provide advice and to try anything. I have gone from really long to really short hair and back to mid-length styles and feel that the styles stays for longer than at any other hairdressers I've been to before. if I have a special occasion and need a wedding hair cut or a races hairstyle I will always Sandton.

After my third bad hair cut at my last salon and not going to go back, I needed to find a new hair dresser. I decided to try Sandton Hair Gallery after reading other reviews on womow. I am SO glad I did. Jane cut my hair and it is the BEST hair cut I have had, ever! Jane listened to me, made suggestions and discussed how my hair is and how I wear it, Jane was able to translate that into a wonderful haircut, not only did my curly hair look great blow waved straight on leaving the salon, it looks fabulous left natural or scrunched. I am extremely happy with the result and I am now a convert! I also was very pleasantly surprised with the cost $49.00!!

Having been a client at Sandton Hair Gallery for several years, I cannot go past it. From blow drys, up-do's, cuts and colours; every experience has been top service for a reasonable price. You would expect the same at Tony & Guy, but for hundreds more. Joanne and Janine are absolutely fabulous and will do anything to make your experience valuable. I've recommended them to family members who now refuse to get their hair done anywhere else. Also, I'm one of those really annoying client's who say 'do what you like' when the hairdresser asks what you'd like today. The great thing is that I can always say that and trust that Janine will create something current, fashionable, and always perfectly suited to me. You can't go past the quick head massages while in the air-vibrating chairs or the ceramic heat scissors which do away with split ends! While it take me 45minutes to get there, it's the only place I'll ever have my hair done. Consistent, affordable and professional. Sandton Hair Gallery is the whole package if you want a great experience when you go to a hair salon.

I moved to the area recently and had to find a new hairdresser. I found this one on the womow website and thought I'd try it because of the great reviews...I wasn't disappointed. Janine was fantastic!!! I got foils and a cut and I couln't be happier! The colour is darker and exactly what I wanted! I will be back for sure.

After finding this place on womow, I decided to give it a try. Their service was very good. I throughly enjoyed the whole experience. The girl who served me was great at understanding what I wanted. Unfortunately I am pretty fussy with hairdressers, and I didn't leave with a wow I love my haircut feeling. I think it could be just technique didn't live up to my high expectations. They are good, and great at upselling without leaving you feeling uncomfortable or pressured. I would definatey use them again if I can not get to my usual hairdresser, whose located quite far away.

I've been a regular patron for at least 4 years, every 4 to 6 weeks, with a perfect haircut resulting every time. While they certainly seem to have more female clients than guys, I would always recommend my friends, male and female to them.Always friendly, helpful and most importantly, do a top haircut.

This hair salon was recommended by a friend and have to say I am not disappointed! I have long hair and tried countless places and non of them can give me the style that I want, even after showing them photos of the cut. Jenine gave me the exact hair style I requested and also suggested other ways of improving the style for my face shape and hair type. I also request the heated scissors and have noticed less split ends which is great. I am a regular customer now and very happy to share my experiences.

I was first attracted to this salon because they use organic products and ammonia free colours. Jenine is very skilled and she takes time and listens to what her customers want. I have difficult curly hair and have had bad experiences in the past with stylists hacking my hair. Jenine cuts my hair with heated scissors which helps in the prevention of split ends, especially good if you are trying to grow your hair.

This is my first visit to Sandton Hair and i have to say from start to finish i felt taken care of.I did not have to wait at all ,as they were running on time and they even consulted me ,which would have taken 10min ,to try to understand what im looking for. The colour is ammonia free and, i must say,what a difference with no fumes! I normally walk out with a headache from the smell. I was sitting at their colouring table ,sipping on great coffee ,reading current mags,listening to great music..heaven. Then off to the massage chair to rinse off the colour. They have heated scissors that prevent split ends and have to say my hair feels great two weeks later ,considering i notice them soon after a haircut. They are really friendly and really want to help fulfill my expectations. I definately will be back

I've been getting my hair cut by Jenine since i moved to Mitcham 18 months ago and I've been really happy with each haircut. I've gone from mid length to short and am now growing it out again. Her advice and assistance in choosing a style and colours has been really helpful and i get lots of good comments after a visit. The service is great with a complimentary coffee or wine and a relaxing shampoo with the massage chair. I've never liked getting my hair done, mainly because of the inane chit-chat side of it but I find these guys really good at respecting my wishes to either chat or just read a book sometimes.

I was initially attracted by the low irritant, more natural hair dyes they use (unfortunately, sensitive skin means I cannot use the everyday dyes). Since then I've come to expect a friendly greeting, a complimentary tea, coffee or wine, a bit of a catch up with Jenine, Jo and the girls, and most importantly a decent cut and colour. I have not been disappointed. These girls work like trojans to make sure you are happy and satisfied and I do believe it's a genuine care factor stemming from the owners and filtering through to the staff and even the apprentices (one of which is now qualified) are delightful and know how to give you a great head massage. Keep it up girls, it's been a pleasure! Very happy to see a consistency of service and quality that has been maintained over many years.
