Dr Craig and Dr Bec are some of the most compassionate and genuinely caring vets I know. They're skilled, thorough and dedicated to the animals they help.

Warm, caring and friendly. Definitely the place for greyhounds. Not all vets understand the physiology of greys.

Graig and Bec Goods are an exceptionally compassionate and caring team. Pet Medical Crisis www.petmedicalcrisis.com.au and our pensioner clients have had A1 communication and treatment. We cannot recommend them highly enough ️

2 Shelties Riley & Missy and human Glenn would like to say thank you so much, my boy Riley is 9 now, he is epileptic, diabetic and pretty much blind, Stacy, Dr Craig, Dr Alice and ALL the staff and Doctors have helped so much to get us here. Your crazy old customer says thank you for everything you've done to make that possible. you help me keep them alive, they keep me alive. Being alive is good, being alive with 2 shelties is the best, thank you Port Phillip Animal Hospital for making that happen. G

I wish to express my fervent thanks to PPAH and all the staff for the kind and professional care shown to Kayla over the almost 9 years of her life. She unfortunately recently transferred to rainbow bridge where she now waits patiently for me. Take you PPAH

Again went to the vet yesterday with Kayla in a panic because I had discovered a lump in her side and immediately thought cancer....oh noooo. Within 5 minutes of seeing the vet, the vet said it seemed to be a fatty cyst and did a biopsy with a nurse holding Kayla. Turns out it was a fatty cyst and again I was pleased to have the PPAH there to help me.

After bad experiences with previous vets, I was pleasantly surprised with Port Phillip Animal Hospital. Their service and knowledge is impeccable. The vets are straight to the point, always take the time to explain things and do not make you pay for unnecessary tests and investigations. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and it's obvious they care for your pet. Both Latte (my cat) and I highly recommend this vet. A special thank you to Craig.

All the staff there but especially Matt on our last visit were tremendous. I was panicking with my 8yo Labrador Kayla showing vomiting and she was treated for this. Unfortunately over night she developed diahorrea, pain (she was crying) and went off all food. But the staff and Matt talked me through all her problems and within two days she was improving and has not looked back since. The treatment she received this time as in all times in the past was excellent and knowledgeable in the extreme. They obviously did only the tests and investigations that they considered warranted and were there to soothe down the over active brain of Kayla's dad. Again many many thanks to Matt and all the staff at the centre. You will certainly have us for all time.

All staff are clearly animal lovers and really want to ensure your pet's health is priority. They offer compassion and a friendly smile. Our dog has been hesitant entering other vet clinics but happily enters Port Phillip Animal Hospital every time. We are so pleased they are close by now that our dog is getting older.

We have two british blue cats, one is very difficult at the best of times, the other has serious health issues. We have been taking our girls to Craig for nearly 6 years. His extremely knowledgeable, caring and his diagnoses is always spot on! We would highly recommend Craig and the team at PPAH to anyone who is looking for a vet clinic who doesn't overcharge and always goes above and beyond the call of duty for any furry friend great and small.....

There's nothing you could say bad about the team at PPAH. They are very caring, knowledgeable, friendly, supportive and go that extra mile. We will always be very grateful to them in the care of our beagle who sadly is not with us anymore. We highly recommend them if you are requiring exceptional vets.

Craig and the Team at PPAH are the ONLY ones we trust with our animals - both previous and present - we live 1 hour away now but still travel to see them with our boxer Harry. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Over the past few years, I've brought my own cats and countless fosters to this clinic, and no matter who's seen them, the care has been first rate and they've been wonderful at fitting me in when emergencies arise. I recently brought in a very ill, under-nourished foster kitten. Craig was fantastic in caring for her and supporting animal rescue. I'm happy to say she's now one fat, playful little girl, who should soon be ready for her own home. Highly recommended.

Craig is the best vet we've ever had - we lost them for a few years but it's great having them back. He'll do anything for you and always follows up.

We have had nothing but positive experiences with all the staff at Port Phillip animal hospital. Craig and Bec are the kindest people and have gone above and beyond to care for our two pets, in particular a very feisty cat named Tinkerbell.

It's taken me a long time to write this because I have to let people know how wonderful and amazing the clinic is! I am a long term client and I didn't think they could get any better, but they did! 9 weeks ago I found (via the advice of Katie at the clinic to call the council)...my beautiful and much loved cat Violet badly injured. After jumping a fence to get to her with the help of my wonderful neighbor, I found myself locked in a nearby backyard with my vet sick cat. Fortunately I had my neighbor helping me, but he was on the other side of the fence. A phone call to the clinic to explain the situation to the wonderful and quick thinking vet nurse Stacey, and Dr. Matt came to where I was and I was able to hand Violet over the fence. He drove her back to the clinic . I arrived 8 minutes later, Violet was already on a drip, wrapt in blankets and I knew she was safe and was in the best hands possible with every chance of survival. It is a privilege to go to this clinic. The AMAZING care that was given by all the staff that day, and the days and weeks to follow. Dr. Craig Goode who operated on Violet that day, saved her life. I can never speak highly enough of Craig. He is a wonderful vet, passionate about animals and really cares, he is not your regular vet. He is truly dedicated and goes above and beyond every time. He is always available to take calls from stressed and upset pet owners, including after hours, and manages to keep the situation calm. Matt was AMAZING, and I will never be able to thank him enough. He kept a bad situation calm, and who else gets in their car and comes to where the injured animal is and drives it back to the clinic? He is also an incredible vet who I trust 100%. We are now 9 weeks on. Her recovery has been a process and I have no doubt if I wasn't lucky enough to have the wonderful doctors and nurses at the clinic, we wouldn't have got this far. The nursing staff that day were incredible too, the beautiful and amazing Stacey who responded so quickly to the hysterical phone call and organized matt to come and rescue Violet. Stacey is incredible, kind and caring, always with a smile on her face. Thank you Stace! Brittany was on duty on Violet's first weekend at the clinic, it was a difficult time and touch and go. When I arrived the morning after at the clinic at 9:00am, Brittany's first comment was that she had woken at 6:00am thinking she had to hurry and get to work to see how Violet was. Brittany managed a highly emotional weekend in such a kind and gentle way. We have the other nurses too, Hannah who has an incredible calm about her, and knows how to manage all types of situations, and also had a huge hand in Violet's recovery. Bruna was there for us, hand feeding Violet, making her comfortable and keeping me reassured too. Katie, thank you! Violet wouldn't be alive today if you hadn't told me to call the Council, because I wouldn't have found her. You are wonderful. Nothing is a problem for anyone in the clinic, no matter how many questions you ask or how many times you call. One more part of my happy ending is Violet has a half brother, Rupert, and the two are inseparable. I asked Craig if I could bring Rupert to stay at the clinic with Violet because he was so distressed without her and not knowing where she was. There was no hesitation from Dr. Craig and Rupert stayed for the 5 days with Violet in the clinic...this definitely helped her recovery. Seriously, who does all this? This clinic is no regular clinic, this is the closest thing you get to perfection. I have recommended so many people to the clinic, and they too think they had a good vet until they came here. Some of the recommendations live on the other side of town, and they travel to come to the clinic. There are so many other stories I could share with you, and everyone in the area thinks so highly of everyone at the clinic. I take my dogs for a walk and run into people and the conversation always turns to "what vet to you go to"? The answer is always the same.....Dr. Craig Goode and all his wonderful staff. The clinic closes at 7:00pm each night, well that doesn't happen very often, if at all, they are always taking a late call/seeing a sick pet, again nothing is a problem and they are always there to help. They are also open on the weekends for a period of time. You feel safe when you are at the clinic, because they are the BEST!!! I am eternally grateful and I will never be able to thank everyone at the clinic enough. If you love your pet this is the clinic for them....it is an absolutely pleasure and privilege to have these wonderful doctors and nurses looking after your pet/s. Thank you to you all!

Our French Bulldog Link loves the team here, even after multiple surgeries and visits he still gets excited to visit. Craig and his team are highly skilled, researched on the latest technologies and above all they genuinely care about both the animals and their families. We would never trust anyone else with our pets. Thanks Port Phillip Animal Hospital, we love you!

I've lived in Melbourne for 15 years and finally I've found vets like I had in Tasmania. Never try to sell you anything that isn't needed and genuinely care about your animal and their well-being. Nice people to boot.

Moved down to Melbourne and didn't know which vet to visit. Found the Port Philip Animal Hospital online. It is a great clinic with awesome doctor, Craig. Very friendly and answered all our questions patiently. He took great care of our puppy. Will keep taking our dog here.

Our almost 13 yo Lab (first child) come home today after having a cancerous tumour out of his neck. I cannot speak highly enough of Craig and his team for getting Nelson back to us today. I have only known Craig for one week and wish I could tell all pet owners to make him their Vet. Having animals my whole life I have never come across a Vet who cares as much as Craig.

They were very caring and responsive to an injured cat that we found by the road and needed attention straight away. We had to drop off in the early hours of the morning on the way in to work. Called the 24 hours line and called back in minutes. Thanks Craig and the team.

My 5 year old Labrador had been chronically vomiting for about 4 months and unable to pin down a diagnosis. Craig recently agreed to a full work up (ultrasound and endoscopy) to determine the cause. I dreaded that it was a cancer of some sort. Craig rang me to say that Kayla had swallowed some mass of material and it could not be endoscopically removed so she would need surgery. Craig and all the staff pulled her through with flying colours and after 24 hours she has showed signs of recovery that one would not expect. Thank you to all at Port Phillip Animal Hospital

I originally took my kitten, now cat, to another vet in the area and the vet there was very rude and abrupt. I was shocked, especially with a cute kitten in tow (who doesn't love kittens?!). Anyway, I went to port phillip animal hospital for her second visit and have never looked back. The staff there are always lovely, welcoming and the vets really care for your pets and listen carefully to any worries or queries you may have. I have seen a few different vets here and they are always great. I will always take my pets here!!

I find the staff caring, and proficient, with the clinic being a community atmosphere. Most of the vets own the business, so they are proactive, warm, and with their hearts towards our companion animals. Reasonably priced too!

Fantastic vets who really take the time to investigate what is wrong with your fur baby. These guys have been taking care of my girl for years and are just fantastic. Not overpriced, friendly and really care. I couldn't recommend them more.

Needing to find an alternative local vet I took my newly aquired 6 yo dog to PPAH. Millie had been neglected in many areas by her previous owner but soon developed into the most loving companion I have ever had. When she was 8 she became very ill and it was due to the persistance of the vet Scott that she eventually was able to be diagnosed and cured of a disease foreign to her age and breed. January 2014 whilst being treated for non life threatening arthritis, an agressive, maligant tumour made its prescence known. Craig's diagnosis was for for immediate surgery which was done the following day. Scott' honest and compassionate advice as to the best result for Millie resulted in the sad decision to let her stay asleep on the operating table. My grief was tempered by the compassion and understanding by all at PPAH and particularly Scott. If you want your pet looked after by vets whose primary interest is the the health and well being of your animal then you could do well to visit the PPAH.

Just recently my dog had a cyst in between his paws and the vet at this practice did not diagnose it properly. After paying them $80 for the first visit the foot only got worse. After 2 days I took the dog again as he was walking on three legs. They took Xrays this time and charged me another $300 and changed the medication. After 2 days, I couldn't see any improvement and I was heading to their practice to drop off my dogs insurance claim form. I requested if a vet can have a quick look to see if its getting better. When I dropped off the claim form, the vet had a quick look, literally spent 5 mins max and then I left. A month later, I ha not heard from the insurers. called the practice to ask if they had submitted the claim form and they said no and they will do it straight away. 2 days later, I get a call today that I owed them $45 for that last visit!!! This is a thieving practice.. the moment they figure out your pet has insurance, your bills will go through the roof. The health of your pet is not their priority - money is their priority. Then I was blackmailed to say that if you don't pay that $45, we will not lodge your claim. I am never taking my pet to this practice again. Next thing you know they will perform surgery just to stack up a big bill.

I have three little maltese dogs. They all have vet cover through petplan. My middle dog was diagnosed with IMAH. The immediate diagnosis saved her life. We were rushed to the emergency care for two blood transfusions and intesive care treatment for one week. Two years on she is in complete remission. At the time I was told by Emma the vet on duty it was curable but long term and very expensive. I had vet insurance and in case of emergency funds. I asked the head vet Craig while I could fund the vet care I didn't want to put her through uneccessary treatment if she would suffer unceccesarly. I trusted his opinion and I am glad she made a complete recovery their attention to detail and explanation in long term care it took six months before we knew she was in the clear and a further twelve months of monitoring for relapse. she is now the happy little dog she has always been . When pathaology got results she was in the clear even they were thrilled and commented on her results. As a team we got through this together. They are caring pragmatic and straight talking in light of what for me was an emtotional decision based on what was best for Isabella. I could not have coped with the constant Guidance from the vet team Scott was the vet who took her case over and was honest and caring about the side effects of treatment and what was required. I didn't give up on her because I knew she a fighter and wouldn't give up. The vets were highly qualified and explained everything in detail to be able to make an informed decision.

I just couldn't speak highly enough of the Port Phillip Animal Hospital. I would take my pets no where else. All the vets, Craig, Emma, Theo and Scott are amazing, caring and compassionate, and the care and concern they offer to both the animal and the owners is second to none. The vet nurses are wonderful as well and all my animals (and I have a lot) are so lucky to have such wonderful care, whether it be for something minor or something on a more serious note. I have often been in tears when it's time to say goodbye to one of my pets, and they are so compassionate and understanding....there is really no-one else like them.

Craig and his team have always provided great healthcare for my dog, and also caring and understanding for me when my dog has been unwell. They are open 7 days a week which is excellent for when those emergencies crop up as they unfortunately sometimes do. I highly recommend PPAH to anyone living in the area.

They are open 7 days a week and have a 24hr line - always there if and when you need them! Services at PPAH cover general pet healthcare, surgery, diagnostics (ie. x-rays). A one stop shop for if ever your little pooch runs into health problems. Other services they offer are pet boarding, bath/grooming and puppy school. The clinic has a happy vibe, which is obvious in the staff and animals, to everyone who walks through their doors or passes by the street windows. I am not sure if there is a premium charged for any costs associated with the pleasant surrounds and people, but the level of attention and care given would be worth it.

Wonderful, caring vets. Many choices in the area but I wouldn't go anywhere else with my dog and cat. I felt that both the males and female vet were knowledgeable, available and actually interested in my babies. Highly recommended.

We've visited the vets here a lot over the last year and have always been impressed with the service, treatment, etc. Each of the vets provides a thorough explanation during the consult, details the steps for treatment clearly, and usually follow up over the phone if need be. We had an unfortunate experience with our last pup (not at this vet), and they have been very patient when we ask lots of questions. We couldn't be happier that our pup is in safe hands.

Craig saved my dog's life by identifying that she had a nasty infection in her soft palate, caused by a stick injury. My dog was lethargic and a bit low, but there were no visible symptoms, so I was very impressed and grateful. We have been going there ever since. Not particularly cheap, but exactly the sort of professionals you want looking after your dogs and cats.

I have been taking my dogs to this new clinic since it first opened over a year ago. I feel confident with their ability and advice and find them one of the most accessible and progressive vet clinics around. Being in the pet care industry I also take some of my clients there and we always get exceptional service.
