I’ve been a regular at The Do for many years now, but recently tried their new Innoluxe range & it was a game changer!! Can’t recommend it highly enough, my hair felt amazing!

Got a wash and blow dry here recently. I rang to see how much it was and they said it would be $60 and went up to pay they charged me $85. I did tell them my hair was a medium length. Very disappointed.

The staff where friendly, welcoming and professional. They made coffee for my partner while he waited. They took their time to work out what I wanted and needed to send me off to the wedding I was attending in style. If I lived in Melbourne they would be my hairdresser of choice.

Since having a previous hairdressers mess up my colour I was quite nervous about going to a new hairdressers and was still on the hunt for a regular place since moving to Australia. They not only corrected my colour, but since all cuts have been fantastic and every colour has been great also. The staff are not only lovely, but do a fantastic job. Kat and Tarik have both cut my hair and you can tell they take the time to assess your hair a lot just by the products they use and recommend (which have undoubtedly improved my condition and manageability of my hair between cuts). And Mel's colouring has been fantastic. Highly recommend! Have never left this place without a smile! Thanks!

I am never one to write reviews, but in this particular case I thought it was necessary to do so. I had a lady named Kat working on my hair, i got a drastic change for both colouring and my cut and I have to say that it is by far the best hair cut and colour i have ever received. I tend to be a bit of a snob when it comes to my hair, I am more concerned in the quality of my cut and colour as opposed to the price. All previous hair dressers that I have been too have always been high end, pricey with excellent reputation. Surprisingly, not one of those has gotten even remotely close to how amazing this cut and colour is. I highly recommend 'The Do,' the staff really know what they're doing, very friendly and overall a 5 star experience. I will not go anywhere else, I finally found my hairdresser! :)

I tried The Do as it is very close to home. After a series of disappointing haircuts in the local area, I was feeling a little anxious! However, the girls at the salon were both extremely professional and friendly, genuinely listened to what I had to say and won't let me leave until I was completely satisfied! I am going back again for my next cut :)

Tonight I had my third experience as a client at The Do. I am still incredibly impressed. Since my first visit 10 weeks ago, not only do I always walk out feeling great about my colour and cut, I also receive guidance on hair products and also how to use them properly at home (from shampooing/conditioning technique through to straightening my hair at home) my hairs' health has vastly improved and they have taught me so much with their wilingness to share their hair-knowledge. The service from all the staff is exceptional and you can tell they take great pride and enjoy immensely what they do, it's a pleasure being a client of theirs. As well as doing amazing hair they also have so many little touches that are unique, wine and nibbles, hair treatments and eye masks and essential oils put into the tint and shampoo (and you get to choose your oil scent). It's such a luxury every time I visit. I highly recommend this salon.

Annette is not just a hairdresser, she is an artist. She has always had a natural talent for shaping each individual's hair to suit them perfectly. I've followed Annette around Melbourne for 20 years she's so good! All the ladies are lovely, warm characters that are a pleasure to see. You will always leave with your hair feeling incredibly soft and with a smile on your face. If you are looking for flawless quality, or have had bad experiences in the past and just want a beautiful hair style, this is where you should go. The Do always give unbiased, sound advice and they genuinely want you to have the best hair for you. I cannot recommend them more highly :)

So happy with my first hair cut at The Do Salon! Friendly staff, luxurious surroundings and quality hair products. Really appreciated the great advice and time spent making sure I was getting what I wanted. Recliner chairs are amazing and glass of wine really makes it a pampering experience! Can't wait to go back!

I just searched on google for a hairdresser near me. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into this beautiful salon and met Melanie. She was so awesome at describing how to get my hair colour back to brown from blonde. She used products and explained why she was using them which definitely has made me want to try them out. She also explained every single step to me.. To how long the dye would be on my head to why she was going to style my normally straight hair to have some wavey curls. So happy to have found this lovely new hair dresser!!! Thank you xx

Rarely do I find the time to write reviews but I feel I need to write one after my lovely experience at the Do. Since recently moving into the area, I was anxious to find a Salon that was welcoming, professional and reasonably priced. As soon as I walked in I was offered a drink and did not have to wait. I had my hair colored by Steph who did an exceptional job, she was lovely and very professional. Will definetly be recommending this salon to friends and will be returning!

I have been going to The Do for just over a year now and I would not go anywhere else. Annette first created a wonderful ‘'up do” for me for my birthday and I was so pleased with the results and experience that the salon became my new regular. Since then I have trusted her to cut and colour my hair and I have never looked back. Emily and Steph have also done my monthly colour and I have been happy every time. The whole experience is relaxed chatty and you feel like you are catching up with friends with just the right amount of pampering. There are so many bad hairdressers around the area that it is a delight to find one that is truly a gem! I cannot recommend highly enough.

Exceptional service and I always receive the most amazing haircut. I was referred to this salon by a friend who always had beautiful hair. Now I'm often asked where I get my hair cut. My stylist shows me tricks on how to style my hair at home and is very generous with her knowledge. This is not local to where I live, but I choose to travel out of my way for such a great service.

I've been to The Do twice and my daughter is a regular. I have my hair cut and coloured (blonde foils) and I've been really happy with it both times. Stephanie is friendly and helpful. The cut has been great and has kept its shape very well. The service is much quicker than I'm used to because they only deal with one customer at a time so there's no waiting around for them to finish someone else. The studio is a great space and it's an all-round pleasant experience. I'll be going back.

I've been going to The Do for nearly two years now. I have never walked out with a cut or style that I'm not 100% happy with. All of the girls a friendly, warm and professional. Emily takes the time to work out exactly what I want in terms of cut and colour and makes me look amazing, and we have a great time chatting whilst she does her thing. The only downside is that it's a little tricky to find parking that you don't have to pay for.

I have been going to the Do for the last few years when my hairdresser Annette moved there. The location is great - very easy to get a park. The girls are terrific and the atmosphere very warm, chatty and professional. There are certainly cheaper salons around, but the quality of the hair treatments, colour, cut and styles are second to none - especially if you have a special occasion. I have very curly hair that is difficult to manage and I trust Annette and the staff to recommend the right products and scalp/hair care for my specific needs. My husband attends too and loves the special treatment he receives with the natural Qaba products. Highly recommended to men and women of all ages - you'll be well looked after,

I've been a client of The Do for a number of years, & have a cut every six weeks then a cut/colour every alternate six weeks. Annette knows the "quirks" of my hair so well that it's easy to maintain between visits & I always get compliments about the cut. Emily & Steph look after me in a friendly professional manner, & the head massage with qaba oils is not to be missed!

Annette's been my hairdresser for some time and I always appreciate the care she takes with the consultation process to see how I've managed with the style from my previous visit and of course the condition of my hair. Annette never rehashes a previous look but uses each visit as an opportunity to ensure my style is fresh and vibrant. And I do love the wonderful head massage and shampoo experience at the basin. Funky and clean - I love getting my hair done at The Do Salon. The staff are friendly and professional. With their Qaba natural oil - getting my hair washed feels like I'm getting an aromatherapy head massage. Melanie is a fantastic colorist, I always leave with my platinum blonde hair fantastic. Can't recommend the lovely folks at The Do Salon highly enough!

I have been a client of "The Do" for some time now and wanted to make mention of my thoughts about this dynamic and switched on business... I have just has my hair done and am really pleased with the result. When I think about it....I have never had a bad experience at "The Do". Annette always begins every appointment with an extensive consultation about what I want, and thoroughly talks me through every colour choice I make.....(and believe me.....there's been plenty over the years!!!) I have never had a better cut anywhere in the world! I love the choice of Herbal Teas, the friendly staff, the magazine choice, the head massage at the basin followed by a treatment, complete with hot towel, essential oil spray and eye mask so that I can completely relax and have some "Me" time... Today's cut and colour is a complete success and I wouldn't go anywhere else!

The salon is always very friendly and very interested / keen in making you feel comfortable both with what is being done that day with your hair & during the time it's being worked on. My hairdresser goes that extra mile in checking if you are "loving" your hair after a few days of the colour settling in, and has also provided a service beyond the general business hours by helping with finding a hair product. I have not experienced that service with previously with another hairdresser. There has been one hick-up with a colour not coming out correctly but that was fixed immediately and looked great at the end. All round I have kept going back, so as far as my hair is concerned - it must be great :)

I got my haircut by Steph at The Do. It was the best haircut I have ever had! She was highly skilled, professional and friendly. In addition to this I got my makeup done at The Do by Kathy Brampton, she was fantastic. It was better than I had imagined and I got lots of compliments. I hate to write negative reviews, and rarely do unless my experience was so terrible it is warranted. I went to the Do salon with high hopes after reading the positive reviews on here. But I had one of the most disastrous hair experiences of my life! I went in with thick, long blonde hair, wanting to get some balayage copper highlights (which had been done wonderfully in the past). The first strike was the stylist proceeded to paint on a full head of colour and despite telling me they were experienced with balayage, they obviously were not. Next the heat lamp was put on such a high temperature it was literally burning my shoulders. The wash experience was one of the worst I have ever had, a relaxing scalp massage at this salon has been replaced with being left in a very uncomfortable, neck pinching chair with a warm cloth on your eyes. Worst of all was the damage done to my hair. I have never had such terrible damage cause before. The first time I washed my hair it dried like crisp straw. Over the next few days not only were my ends snapping off dramatically but large clumps of full length hair began to fall out. I contacted the salon but they were adamant this damage could not have been caused by them and made me feel like perhaps I had done something to my hair. Now having very long (previously healthy) hair, I have invested years and alot of money getting and keeping my hair in this condition, so if I managed to get my hair to this point on my own, and maintain it for years, why would I then do something (ironically at the same time as my hair appointment) to damage my own hair. So the outcome; I have such severe damage and hair loss (around 30% loss ), and my hair is so thin that I am now forced to have my mid back length (now kakki brown coloured, rather than blonde with copper highlights) cut hair to shoulder length. The appointment was overpriced to begin with at 220, then add 150 worth of treatments to try and save it, and now another 100 to have it cut short - so nearly 500 to have my hair ruined! I don't think hairdressers like this realise that they are not just making a minor mistake but can destroy years of commitment and investment. This was a devastating experience for me, I spent about a week constantly in tears, and that is the reason for writing this reviews. I hope this helps other girls to avoid the same experience I have had.

I loved my hair cut from Annette.She really listened and gave me the cut I wanted!!!!!I just love my new hair it was excatly what I wanted!!!It was a nice change to find a salon that offers you a service different from the rest...just to get your hair washed I was in total bliss!!!They use these products called Qaba..OMG..I luvvvvvvv it ,bought the pack for my hair type and used it yesterday at home.I can't believe how good my hair feels and looks and styles.You need to go and visit THE DO..you'll never look for another salon.This is it!!!! Thank you to all at "THE DO" for making me look and feel amazing!

Annette and the team are extremely professional but also make the whole hair experience fun. They have bought my hair back from breakages and a brassy colour to a point now where it shines with no breakages and a great blonde colour. They also use and sell a great Australian hair product called Qaba.

This is the best hairdressing salon I have ever been to. The staff are friendly and take the time to learn about your hair, listening to what you want while making helpful suggestions. I also find the products they use to be of the highest standard. It's a relief to finally discover a natural product that works as well if not better than chemical ones. I would not consider going to another hair dresser now I have found Annette and her staff!

Having my hair done at The Do is like having relaxing day at the Spa. Beverages are provided, champagne if you feel like it. But the best experience for me is the fantastic service The Do's staff provide; a relaxing massage while my hair is being wash and then time out for a couple of minutes with a warm towel over my eyes. Awesome service, well done!

I'd decided to try this salon as I lived nearby and I was not disappointed. As an asian girl with naturally black hair, the colour I had wanted came out really nicely. I asked for ashy brown hair and wanted to go lighter. However, I took my Hairdresser's advice and got half a head of foils. I was very happy with my hair as it didn't come out orange or brassy. I would definitely recommend this salon. It is quite pricey but the experience is worth it.
