Dean and the team were amazing to deal with from start to finish. Jasmine in the office was super friendly when helping set up my appointment. Dean gave me a quote the next day and not long after Jordan and Rob came to complete the job. They were friendly, reliable and fairly priced. Can't recommend them enough. I will be using them for all of my future electrical work.

They came the day after I called, both electricians worked really hard and fixed a number of issues that other electricians could not. The standard of work is very high, all the cabling and fitting looks great. I am very happy with the work they did and at reasonable prices too. I highly recommend them.

Cannot recommend Dean and Clint highly enough! On the Easter holiday weekend in April 2020 the weather had been so windy that a large tree on my neighbour's nature strip fell on the road damaging power lines in our immediate area and a small corner of my roof. Our electricity supply had to be cut and would not be reconnected until we could get an electrician in to remount the unit on our roof that allows the power lines to be connected to the house. I was getting stressed as I soon discovered my 2 usual electricians I had used in the past were either out of business or didn't work on weekends. I was frantically searching for electricians on Word Of Mouth and came across you guys. Dean rapidly assessed what needed to be done from photos I supplied him and quickly sent Clint out to do the repair work. After Clint remounted the electrical unit on our roof, when I asked him to he even put a tarpaulin on my roof to help stop any rain from leaking in, and also went to my neighbour's house to see whether he could do any electricity repairs there too. Due to their quick response and helpfulness, electricity was able to be reconnected to my house after about 3.5 hours. Thanks again guys.

I can highly recommend Approved Electrix the electricians turn up on time, do the work properly, clean up after themselves. If there is any problems they are fixed promptly and in a friendly manner. I can't rate Deans business highly enough. This is the second time I have used Approved Electrix and I am recommending him to everybody.

Added 21 July: Dean's reply, which I already received by email, exactly confirms my description of them as 'argumentative'. I don't want to invite people like these to work at my home. Time for a refresher course in customer service Dean! Original comments 20 July They arrived on time and it went downhill from there. I had booked an electrician for a number of small jobs, through Jim's services, which I usually find to be reliable. I won't mention specific names, but the last thing anyone needs is a couple of argumentative workmen coming to your home and then leaving things incomplete. I've complained to Jim's and to Dean - who was not involved directly in the job - and Dean has stated that the jobs were not completed because the workmen 'felt uncomfortable' in my home, so they left. Of course, Dean says he would be 'happy to quote to complete the job's'! A charge of $215 per hour plus GST, seems a bit over the top when I'll have to organise another electrician to complete the work.

Brett & Steven were great. They installed two new ceiling fans as I had requested. They were friendly, quick & cleaned up. My air conditioner stopped working the day before they came. Even though I hadn’t booked for this Brett checked it out thoroughly & explained why it stopped working. The price was lower than I expected as well ! I highly recommend them.

Called Dean to get a quote to renovate / update the electrics in our downsized house - wiring / downlights / security lights / powerpoints / fusebox / TV and audio cabling / phone relocation. Dean responded sooner than expected (over weekend) to my request to Jim's Electrical. Despite a busy lead-in to Christmas the guys have done a substantial amount of work in a short period of time. They have been on time on each visit and Dean, Alan and Rob have worked with me to ensure that works are as required. No hesitation in recommending to others.

Dean was prompt with both quote and the electrical work. When obtaining various quotes his can do attitude shone through, nothing was too difficult and was the ultimate reason we chose Dean. Added to this his workmanship and ability to offer advice/options were of great importance to us. Finally the price was very reasonable too. I dealt with Dean whom from the start was responsive and professional. Allan came out to install a new heater/fan in the bathroom deal with a smoke alarm issue and a down light that was not working. Allan kept me up date with the diagnosis and work and all was recified in just over a hour. Overall the workmanship was 100% but also keeping to the appointment time and the courtesy phone calls and the ease of payment and correct invoicing via email is terrific. 2 power points and 2 sets of lights weren't working (poorly wired) and disconnection of poorly wired ceiling fan. My wife called Dean in the morning and he initially wasn't available to come that day day and was going to refer her to a colleague, however was then able to come out that afternoon, which was great. She had tried 4 other electricians and none of them would consider coming out that day. He was polite, professional, had a good idea of what the issue was (ie diagnostic skills), current tools, and was very quick and efficient. His pricing was also VERY reasonable. I was expecting to have to pay a lot more (from prior experiences). Ive used at least 6 different electricians over the last 5 years and I would recommend Dean over all of them.

Mains fuse burnt out so electrical co. disconnected it and issued defect last evening. Rang a number of electricians, one phone quote was over $900, minimum. Finally tried Jim's and dean rang back in 5min. Honest and upfront with price. Decided to spend cold dark night and get him around next day. Asked him to ring half hour before he came around the following day (he thought it would be around midday) so I could get home from work to meet him. He rang me at 11.30, half hour off but had been past and checked what parts he needed, was going to get them and be back in 30 min. Got home, he was waiting. Cple hours and he had finished, some complications that he solved along the way. Called elect co. back, they were VERY impressed with his work and reconnected. $300 total. Dean rang bit later to check everything ok! Got a bunch of his cards to give to friends/family. Cannot recommend him more highly.
