This is my first experience with The Rapid Wrench . I rang and got a response straight away and made an appointment for the next day for someone to come and service my trusty old bike. Mike arrived punctually in the pouring rain, was a nice courteous man and did a thorough job lasting not quite 3 hours. He explained what had to be done and gave me a price for each part needed before he proceeded with the work. I left him to it , got my bike back and took it for a ride straight away- it felt good and performed well. I would recommend The Rapid Wrench for your bike requirements;quick response, good service, professional and courteous mechanic- everything was explained. Thanking you

Mike was referred to me by a fellow Zwifter and he didn’t disappoint. I’d been putting off getting my trainer bike serviced because I didn’t want to be without my trainer but finally had to bite the bullet when my attempts to get it running failed. Mike was responsive and accommodating to my schedule and he and Finn serviced my trainer back to smooth and like new! So happy with their service. I will definitely use them again and won’t put it off next time!

Mike came to my house and mounted 6 bikes on my garage wall , as well as building a bike from scratch, on top of servicing them all. His service was absolutely superb. He turned a clunky garage into a fantastic show piece with the bikes beautifully placed on the garage wall. His attention to detail was second to none. Superb work.

Had my bike serviced after recent transport from overseas and the team did a fantastic job. Replaced several parts including the seat, all of which were available in the repair van. I've had a pretty rough run with getting my mountain bike fixed professionally before but after spending a day with Mike my bike has literally never looked better. he picked up and fixed EVERYTHING. I happily recommend The Rapid Wrench for everything related to bicycles. Mike arrived at my home with his super-equipped van and proceeded to work on assembling four bikes that had been boxed for our relocation from overseas back to Australia. Mike is a very pleasant person who showed due care and a high degree of skill and attention to tuning the bikes back to a rideable status. The convenience of the home service is superb. There is no need to endure the hassle of having to transport our bikes to a workshop and be without them for several days. 5 bikes- 1 day- 1 dog. Mike did an excellent job yet again. The thrashed and trashed 14 yo boy's bike restored. He even brought along his Hungarian Vizsla to keep a 12 yo girl entertained. That poor girl's father will not buy her a dog! Smiles all round especially the price. Highly recommended.

Mike is very professional, and has a lot of a knowledge about different types of bikes and parts etc. We have large Dutch 'bakfiets' type cargo bike with linkage steering etc and Mike does a great job servicing that.

Michael from Rapid Wrench did an amazing job building up my dream ride, a retro circa year 1999 hard tail mtb with all new 2020 components. Michael is a very knowledgeable and skilled mechanic with a great attitude. I went to a certain bicycle store chain and the people there scoffed at my idea of upgrading my retro bike and said to simply buy a new bike. It's very difficult to find a 13" frame that fits me perfectly and the money I spent on the new components is the kind of specs you would find on a bike that would cost twice as much as I ended up spending. When I told Michael the specs of my old bike and the new components I was going to put it on it, he was able to quickly inform me that it would be OK and was always transparent with information and advice. It's so convenient that Rapid Wrench comes to you and would definitely consider using them for my next bike service or bike work. Would highly recommend Rapid Wrench!!!

I highly recommend Mike from The Rapid Wrench. He couldn’t make the initial appointment and called me to reschedule. I required a full service of the bike. Mike’s work ethic was impeccable and he completed the work in under and hour with all the necessary adjustments and even made some improvements to the bike. The service cost me a total of $129.00 which included $99.00 for the service plus $30.00 for some additional accessories. I will definitely use The Rapid Wrench again.

I've seen a couple of the guys from the rapid wrench now and they've always gone above and beyond and done amazing work, from a impromptu bike fit to get me more comfy in the saddle to fixing things on my bike that I thought would be replacement jobs for sure! If you need work done on your bike they're the guys!

My bike had been neglected needing a bottom bracket bearing for a long time, and Mike was able to replace it, recut a thread and save my bike from the tip. Easy work for Mike. He also replaced my chain. About 2 hours of work. Thanks for a great job Rapid Wrench.

John visited my office in the CBD this week to service my bike and replace a few parts. He was on time, prompt with his work, the service was great and very affordable. I received a message via text as soon as he was complete and I was able to pay via cash or eftpos which was helpful. I was very impressed with the quality of the job, my bike was clean and in great working condition after the service. I would highly recommend Rapid Wrench, you can have your bike fixed/serviced with the convenience of not having to leave your office.

Mike and John provide an awesome service!!! I couldn't be happier. Mike was excellent in communicating service timing and John called me regarding any services issues, he gave good advise on what was most needed as I was off site when the service took place. Further to this Mike was able to source a new front chainring (I new it was past it)pretty much on the spot and pricing was great!!! Will definitely use Rapid Wrench in the future. Just had a Debonair air spring fitted to my RS Yari. Wayne has done an exceptional job with the fitting,and replacement of my lower seals. Took my beast for a spin at the Youies the following day,and it has made a hell of a difference.......chews through technical features on black diamonds like a knife through butter,because of the help from Wayne's expertise. These guys are the best. I told heaps of people the story of how helpful they were when I had a ‘bike emergency’. Mike agreed to a big ask - a ‘come to me within 2 hours’ same day request, Wayne arrived on time and was lovely, friendly and efficient. He helped solve my issue AND did a service so my bike was as new in about 40 mins. As a single female in the situation I also didn’t At all feel pressured to do things I couldn’t tell were truly necessary or not (as can sometimes be the case in these contexts). I also left my mudguard with their van by accident and Wayne dropped it to my house no charge a few days later. Thanks so much Mike & Wayne.

This is now my 3rd Rapid Wrench job. Recently I had Wayne service my bike and he made the suggestion that I need a longer stem. Then Wayne , a few days later, comes around again and bingo - fits the suggested longer stem. Suddenly I find myself in a better position, not having known I was in the incorrect position till he suggested it. That's the 2nd time they have done this - which is beyond just a tune or service. Best guys in the business - I highly recommend. They came to my work and to my home... how portable and flexible is that! And everytime the results were amazing.

Called them on a day and they came in just 2 hours, serviced the bike and replaced some parts. The mechanic was very knowledgeable and professional and efficient. Happy with the condition of the bike after the service and got some maintenance tips from them as well. Coming to my place was definitely one of the best part while the price charged was friendly comparing to some of the LBS despite of the minimum charge but it’s fair for them. Would definitely recommend it to everyone.

Mike is incredible. I took a chance because other bike shops I've gone to they make you feel like a numpty if you're not a serious biker. They take a look at your reid bike and it looks like they want to spit on you! Mike was the complete opposite. On time, friendly, was actually trying to talk me out of purchasing a few things from him because he said it 'wasn't absolutely necessary at this point'. So honest! Talk about quick too. Man I spent 40 mins taking 1 tyre off once to replace the tube, Mike did both tyres, brakes and an overall tuneup and test in 70 mins. This man knows his bikes and listens to what you want and breaks down some of the more technical aspects without making you feel stupid. Already recommended the business to my friends that ride. Will be back here again if I need another tune, not going anywhere else ever again! The price I've listed includes breaks and new tyres, the actual tuneup was $99 which is extremely competitive when you compare it with other stores and that Mike (or his offsider) come to you.

Fantastic service from Mike. Contacted within a day of logging an online booking request, and arrived the following day. Work consisted of mountain bike Pro Service, and fitting of new tyres and tubes (supplied by me). Also included new chain which required replacing. The service these guys are offering is unparalleled. They literally come to your door stop and fix your bike for you. No more shady bike stores that take weeks to repair your bike and ridiculous costs. I had my bike stripped down and rebuilt and there was still an issue with my bottom bracket, so Mike came out again for free to take it apart again and reassemble it. He did it because that’s what an honest mechanic does and knows that’s how businesses prosper. Thanks for your help boys.

Super thrilled with my now restored stead, Wayne was very knowledgeable and had plenty of time to talk to me about the problems with my bike as he worked. He was even able to tune the setup to fit me better and improve the comfort for me. On my way to work at a new job, a gear cable on my bike broke. I wasn't looking forward to riding home in one gear, then catching the train to work the next day, then spending half the weekend going to and from a bike shop to have it repaired. When I arrived at work there was a cyclist in the bike cage, and I asked if he knew of a bike shop nearby. He recommended The Rapid Wrench. Michael managed to fit me in at about lunch time. He did a brilliant job, noticed some other issues that I was vaguely aware of and fixed them too. All in record time, and for the same price as I would've paid at a shop, without all the messing around. A bonus was that his 'street performance' entertained the Collins Street crowds :) If I'd known about The Rapid Wrench earlier, I would've booked a service with them, and had the gear cable replaced before it broke. I can't recommend The Rapid Wrench highly enough. They'll be doing the next service on my bike.

So glad I stumbled across Michael at The Rapid Wrench! BOTH of my tires popped on my way to work and I had no time to take my bike to get fixed elsewhere (and admittedly I don't know how!). Had 3 bikes serviced for varying degrees of issues - needed several spare parts fitted (all parts used were Shimano), Mike spent over 4 hours and got all the issues sorted. Easy to communicate with, he did not try to oversell at all, listened to me and we agreed a solution that I am very happy with, and extremely good value, compared to my recent experiences in the bigger bike shops. Very honest with his advice on any parts that may need replacement. If you're like me and you have lots of bikes and not lots of time, you need these guys. On site service means they can run through your whole quiver while you're doing something else. They can fix all the little things you normally ignore and fix the big stuff to get you back out riding.

Mike came around to service our mountain bike which was in desperate need of attention. He did a fantastic job and the bike is like new. Broken spokes, buckled wheel and numerous other defects are now completely fixed. My bike had the "advance service" just over 4 weeks ago by Wayne. The bike was well overdue some loving. It is now running better than i can ever remember, feels great. I can't recommend this business highly enough. Michael is friendly, communicative and thoroughly professional. If you shy away from having your bike serviced because of the inevitable encounter with "bike shop wankers" then fear not - there's none of the patronising and superciliousness that you normally get when you deal with a bike shop - just great skills, a very friendly attitude, and useful information. The price of components (if needed) is highly competitive with any bike shop (in fact cheaper). The price of a service is a huge bargain - most shops charge well over a hundred bucks - Rapid Wrench charges 89 bucks and comes to your house. That's a great deal. Michael took my neglected, decrepit, old commuter bike and got it humming. It is now a complete pleasure to ride. He did the job quickly, very well and the communication was first class. If you're a commuter/non-sporting cyclist looking for a high quality service without the Tour De France attitude, The Rapid Wrench is the way to go.

Mike did a full strip and service of my CX commuter bike. The bike was in exceptional condition after he finished and was smooth as on the ride in to work the next day. Mike was also extremely helpful and knowledgeable on parts and future replacements needed. His van was impressively equipped and stocked with components, better than the last couple of bike shops I visited. The bike is looking much better with the new bar tape and chain ring. :)

I am a repeat customer. He takes his time servicing my bike, which always turns out to be a quality job. I recently purchased a new road bike from a store and long story short, Mike saw and explained in great detail what the issues were with the mechanical side of the bike and why it was not performing as I would expect. The guys were responsive, honest, and excellent value. I thought it would be a long shot to ask for a same-day service, but Wayne was out at my workplace in just a few hours. Riding in to work, I noticed a few creeks and groans. The bike also hadn't seen a spanner (professional at least!) in a couple of years. Wayne was fantastic – took the time to understand what the problem was, and clarified what it was I wanted done. During the service and repair, I was contact before any replacements were done. Rear cassette and chain needed replacing. After the service, he clearly explained everything that he did, and pointed out a few things to keep an eye on. Will certainly be calling Rapid Wrench for the next service/repair. Cant rate these guys highly enough.

If you are considering bringing your bike to a traditional bike shop and wait a week for it to be serviced, and then go and pick it up, forget about it. Mike and his team will come to your home, office or other location and provide a top class service onsite. They know their stuff, and they care about their work. Mike communicated really well before and during the service, with great follow up, and my bike is now in great nick. All done in an hour. Highly recommended.

As a rule, I don't have men working at my home without my husband being there, however I was treated with such respect and friendliness that I didn't hesitate. Surprisingly, the cost was considerably better than four other places I had contacted, so grateful for that! Our bikes were worked on in part while we were at work and part when we were home. We had parts that were very difficult to source, but Jared persisted until he found the right ones. Our bikes are in great condition now and the whole process was smooth, "for us anyway". My bike came apart midway through my Friday morning commute. Nothing major, but very inconvenient and annoying. It was Mike's "admin day", but he drove from Caulfield to Carlton to ensure I was able to get myself home that day. He was friendly, communicative, reasonable and full of good advice. He did a great job fixing and cleaning my bike, even pointing out a few things I hadn't noticed. He was fair and up-front with the cost. Highly recommend. Mike has serviced my road bike the last couple of times. The bike has run better than ever for well over 2000 kms. He has come to my workplace to service the bike which is great as I don't have to worry about drop-off and pick ups. Mike is really professional and helpful and gives solid, measured advice. The prices are very reasonable and in my experience more affordable than what you would pay more in a shop. I will certainly be getting Mike to service my bike in the future.

Mike did a great job of servicing my MTB. Came to my office and spent the afternoon servicing my bike and making it run properly again. It was good to be able to discuss the bike with him as he worked on it and get some feedback on what needed doing and what I'd done wrong with my "fixing". Great rates for a great service.

I highly recommend TRW (Micheal) because within 24hrs of my inquiry, he was already fixing my bike. He came to my office and set up shop on the street. He quickly assessed my bike and recommended some repairs. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. 50mins later, it was done! Very competitive pricing and super convenient. 10 out of 10!

Mike responded promptly to my initial enquiry and had the bike serviced within a week. He went out of his way (quite literally), servicing my bike in the Western suburbs. Mike even persisted through a thunderstorm and pouring rain! Very reasonably priced, advised of future work that may be required and didn't unnecessarily change any parts. Will definitely use Mike for our future bike services. He even accepts cards/electronic payment which is very convenient.

Recommended. Mike turned up on time and went over my needs. He gave me good advice and did a great job on my bike. If you're a frequent rider I'd suggest having Mike look after your bike. The best thing is I'm busy and don't really have time to organise either one of the two local bike shops to service my bike. But Mike came round and just took care of it. Couldn't be easier. And his rates are competitive.

Highly recommend everyone to TRWM. Mike came out to my workplace and was on time, new chainrings fitted and service complete. Absolutely hassle free, no need to worry about trading hours to dropping your bike off at the bike shop and then waiting a few days to get it back. I left for work in the morning and left my tired bike behind me. I came home and basically had a new bike. Michael spent a lot of time working on the bike and talked me through all the details and costs throughout the day. He also had options for each part depending on what I was after. Amazing. And I didn't have to go through the hassle of dropping my bike off somewhere and picking it up, it was all done at my house. Definitely the way to go.

Did some searching via Google for a bike mechanic in Melbourne and kept coming back to Mike from "The Rapid Wrench". It must have been a sign because I don't think I've been this excited to get back on the bike for a long time. Contact with Mike was easy and efficient. He delivered what he said he would do , when he said, for how much he said and picked up a couple of things that weren't obvious to me that he fixed. Best of all he came to my work, the whole process was extremely convenient and Mike is one hell of a nice guy. I met Mike riding downhill at Mt. Buller and soon after organised him to fix a few problems with my Yeti 303wc back in Melbourne. He went out of his way to fit me in and had multiple spokes replaced, wheels trued and gears fixed in record time to get me riding in time for the weekend. The only other mechanic I trust with my bikes in Melbourne apart from Mike takes me 30-45mins to drive to so having a quality mechanic who will be flexible with times and come to your home/office is such a relief. Last week I called Mike to organise a time to do a hydraulic brake bleed and fox fork service for my gf's mountain bike. He asked me what time would suit and arrived exactly on time and did everything perfectly and charged a cheaper rate than any bike shop I've come across. Talking to Mike it's obvious he loves bikes and owns and races downhill, cross country, road, trials and even motorbikes. The only mechanics I trust with suspension either work on or ride motorbikes.

Discovered The Rapid Wrench during a morning commute free bike check-up from VicRoads. Michael left a great impression, so I booked in the family collection (for general services at home (saves hauling 4 bikes to the LBS!) Michael arrived right on time, delivered an excellent & honest service, checking with me before replacing or repairing any parts. I know my LBS does the same, but it's different when you can inspect the issue and parts immediately. while discussing options. The price is very competitive and I've got no reason to go anywhere else for a service.

I just bought a second hand Giant Defy 3 from my close friend and I had a problem with the front dérailleur not letting me change gears. Due to my busy life I didn't have time to go to a bike shop and get it service. I went on the net and came across The Rapid Wrench and he serviceticks all the boxes for me. - Michael comes on-site to you(home/work) - his general service charges are similar price to bike shops possibly cheaper. I bought a cheap second hand bike and had Mike come out to service it. It is so convenient to have him come to you and not have to transport the bike to a workshop. After spending a couple of hours working on it, the bike is probably better than it was when new. He talked me through all that he'd done and for a very reasonable price. Super convenient, Michael arrived within 15-20 minutes (at very late notice as well) and worked well past his usual operating hours. He has great attention to detail and made sure that my bike was running as well as it could be-Highly recommend this service!

Mike isn't no slouch, he's a rider at heart and his main objective is to ensure you are back on a quality bike as quickly as possible. Mike has performed seal replacements, brake bleeds, cleanings and a few repairs. I've also participated in coaching sessions with him on the mountain and can tell you that I've learned more and pushed myself harder on the bike than ever before. Definitely check out the service as I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Mike was great. I had 3 bikes serviced which saved me a lot of time as opposed to trying to get them all into a shop and they have come up looking brand new. I had my TT all prepped and serviced for a race where it rode perfectly.

I got an annual service of my road bike and a once over of my kid's bike too. Its really easy to arrange a service by email. Much more convenient than dropping it off to a shop and then rushing around to pick it up. Mike turned up on time and did great work at a very reasonable price. Follow up afterwards was great and he was happy and friendly with me and my young family. I can't recommend him highly enough. This is how small business should be done.

Michael arrived on time which was a great start! He was friendly, provided helpful advice and proved to be skilful. He serviced and repaired two of our bikes. Michael explained in advance what he was going to do and stayed to complete the lengthy job (2 1/2 hrs). He even provided some advice to my son. The charges were very reasonable. I would recommend 'The Rapid Wrench'.

Mike is a highly skilled mechanic. He took care of two high-end road bikes working with Di2 and carbon wheelsets. I am very happy with his workmanship and importantly his ethic and passion to do a great job you can't beat. Mike also helped me sell a road bike by taking high quality photos and prepping the bike for sale and providing online resources where the bike could be sold.

Fantastig guy. Very polite and accomodating. Took several hours to service my two bikes. Went through them in minute detail (which I loved). I hate it when service providers rip through the task and then charge an arm and a leg. This was the opposite. The rates were very reasonable and he took so much time and care it was awesome. I have been a long time user of a traditional bike workshop but getting the bike to and from is time consuming and I thought I would give this a try. He came to my house at a time that worked for me (early in the morning so I could run through ti all with him before I went to work). He called a couple of times to advise what he thought should be done/replaced. I was concerned the quality might not be as good as a specialist bike shop but it was all that and more.

Was late to appointment but made up for it. He installed a new spacer in my fox shock and set the sag and rebound for me. Also while adjusting rear derailleurs found my hangers were bent and fixed them up. Happy with work done and will be calling him for any future work as well.

One adult and two kids bikes hadn't been ridden in over a year and all in major need for a service. No hassle in getting all 3 to a bike shop, Mike came over and had them all ready to go. Very affordable and Mike was very honest about what each bike needed, there was no up selling or push to have every part on the bike replaced. Bikes looked great and have had no problems since back riding them. A great service.

Mike came out the next day to repair and service my bike. He spent hours on the job making sure it was done right. The bike now runs as good as the day I picked it up. With all the convenience of Mike coming to you it makes it a very easy task to get the bike serviced, maybe I wont put of the next service for so long.

5 starI just wanted to stop by and thank Mike for the great work he did on my two daughters bikes- They always seemed like they were never put together correctly from the bike store and had little knocking sounds and loose training wheels. The kids have no clue but it worries me because its a safety concern. Mike got rid of all the noises and vibrations and even got rid of a few cobwebs. And the kids bike services cost less than adults bikes, as they should! Hes only using the best hardware and also has the skills to match. Thanks mate

You think to yourself that there is no way someone coming to you can be a better service and more affordable, well I have been proven wrong. Mike came to my work on time, setup his station out the back, and in around 1.5 hours he was done. The bike was looking shmick and I took it for a ride that weekend and it felt like it was on rails. All for under what the bike stores charge and I didnt have to worry about taking it there and picking it up (which comes at a cost itself - time and petrol).... Can definitely recommend Michael to anyone I know - which I already have...

I've known Mike personally for over 7 years and can't speak highly enough of his overall bike knowledge and mechanic skills. Mike helped me out with getting into downhill and enduro riding and has helped me further my skills both on the bike, and in the workshop. Since he rides road, as well as just about every style of riding there is, he is my go-to for any mechanical and technical situation, ranging from product recommendations and fitting to technical installations and rebuilds. Nothing is too hard or complicated for him, helping me out with full suspension and fork services to wheel builds and trues that prove to be especially challenging. I save myself the trouble and pain by getting him to help me with his advice and expertise making the most painful situations quick, easy and hassle free. Thanks for the instructions and all the work you do mate.

I've used The Rapid Wrench to have my Scott road bike fixed after I had a tumble on some tram tracks. Mike speedily arrived on the day I called him. He straightened the levers and derailleur hanger, and tuned the gears back to a good-as-new condition. I'd happily recommend to his services to anyone

Was having a few issues with my precious avanti road bike and with my working hours it's really difficult to find the time to get to a monday to friday bike shop.
