I have used Moving Mates twice. The first time was 3 years ago, they could not have been better, I gave them a well earned 5 stars. Fast forward to a few weeks ago, we were moving again. I automatically called up Moving Mates, unfortunately this move did not go well.
The first move was harder, we moved from a steep block to a steep block, the second move was from steep block to flat block.
The first crew fully loaded the truck and minimised driving time, this new crew barely filled the truck, wasting time on more trips.
The first crew were very skilled and really active, the new crew required a lot of direction and ambled about slowly.
The first crew moved boxes and all our stuff including outdoor, garage and shed things, the new crew moved no boxes, moved most of our internal furniture but not our washing machine and a few other things. They didn't move anything outside, in the shed or garage.
In the end they moved much less stuff AND they charged me more. I can not recommend them any more, they did a poor job moving far less for more money.
I have tried to communicate with them on this but the owner (Joao Damiani) has ignored most communication, he only sent me 1 email saying they did a good job.

Today DJ and Andrew moved me from Banks to Greenway - it was tough going and quite a big job. They were very friendly and efficient. They took excellent care and had respect for my belongings. Nothing was too much trouble. If I had to move again I would definitely use them and I won't hesitate to recommend moving mates to my friends. Marilyn.

The guys were really careful with our furniture, they went upstairs disassemble beds and were very friendly. On delivery the beds were reassembled and was easy. Would recommend them anytime.

Our move days was the hottest day and we found the movers to be very friendly and helpful with our move.
Glad we didnt have to do all the heavy lifting was well worth it

Do not ever use this company they ripped me off for $1500 wont return emails or txt messages or answer phone calls. Never showed up at all either They now under investigation by the ACCC I have heard other stories like mine.

The boys were Fantastic, I found them very accommodating they made sure all furinre was in the correct location help to set up beds and the washing machine and took great care with all our belongings. Very happy will definitely recommend

We moved from Sydney to Melbourne and with such a big move we had some worries about our furniture, but the guys at moving mates were really great !
They were ontime at pick up and carefully wrapped all my items and in kept in close contact with me when they arrived in Melbourne and where even waiting for me to arrive which i really appreciated!!
This is a great company and we have recommened to our frineds who have already used Moving mates as well and also very happy.

I did removals for long time and around 6 years ago I left my job, but I have very heavy furniture, so I hired Moving Mates services. I think everything was great, especially because I already knew where exactly wanted the furniture, even I put everything very organized in an accessible place to be picked up by them.
The driver was very sensitive and careful about the wrapping of my belongings and they did a very good job in just 2 and half hours. The only professional advice I can give them is more practice with the angles, but is normal the more you do, the more you get used to it.

The guys did a good job. Unfortunately the management team booked the wrong size truck, which resulted in more trips needed - therefore more time and money. The staff who moved us on the day were helpful - considering it was snowing.

Following a recommendation from a friend, I recently used teams of 2 or 3 from Moving Mates (led by Andre) over 8 times to move out from my home. My jobs required them to move heavy and often delicate items of furniture, equipment and artwork and all up they spent over 150 man hours on the project. They arrived on time (or called if there was a delay), were polite, responsive to any reasonable request, happy to be instructed where appropriate and always treated my belongings with respect.
