These fantastic people just have to be the best ever ! We moved to Kalbar ( scenic Rim) and I totally underestimated our load .. they arrived to do the move, realised immediately this was going to need the assistance of another truck … They flew into action , arranged another truck very same day within minutes .. packed up an entire home in hours , and drove to Kalbar .. they even risked a bit of the flooding taking place in one area going through … I personally , cannot fault them on a thing … they even , after all the stress of the move , carried the most fantastic ever personalities.. laughing and joking along the way … it was not an easy move and they handled it better than great … so happy I used them ..

We used a really bad company previously who damaged a lot of our antiques and these guys showed so much care and patience. Nothing was a problem and from start to finish they were amazing . I made a booking with only two days notice. Both gentlemen were very professional, extremely friendly and polite. They made light work of all my furniture and over 30 heavy book boxes without complaint. Transported and delivered with no damage all within 3.5 hours. Great on time service, the guys know how to pack the truck efficiently with care and turn up on time. Nothing is a problem from first enquiry to finalisation. Great price and great service

This is the third time we have used Shaun and Kristie- they are great.Its a stressful time moving at best,and they have a tough job,but they make it as easy as possible and never complain. We would never use anyone else.It's nice knowing that we can trust our Removalist to take the best care of our things. In this case they had to travel over 510 kms from Gold Coast to Taroom after a huge 2-3 hour load up.Shaun and Jayden were great loading up and Rob was terrific helping Shaun unload at Taroom. My brother- in- law has booked them for February.Thanks guys.

Shaun and Kristie have been fantastic in helping us move from the Gold Coast to Sydney. I would highly recommend GC Local Moves to anyone. Shaun and Rob packed the truck up on Saturday, drove to Sydney overnight and unpacked on a Sunday. The guys were very professional and looked after our belongings with care. Awesome effort. What an awesome team the crew are at GC local moves. I had a difficult and time consuming move, I was totally dreading it. Then was recommended Shaun and Kristie and they made everything fantastic. Kristie was very helpful with the organisation of days and times, (the move was in 4 parts) and Shaun and his guys were efficient, hardworking and careful of our belongings. I cannot recommend this team highly enough. From a simple move down the street or a very complicated move like mine, they have you covered. Thanks again to the whole crew.

We moved from The Lockyer Valley to the Gold Coast, a hour and a half drive, Kristy came two days to pack and did she come on the said time at 7 AM both days. Shaun showed up at 7 AM the day we moved with two trucks plus another 3 man, did they pack those trucks! Done by 11AM we took of for the Gold Coast, no we don't have time for a break, the trucks arrived ahead of us at the new address, believe it or not. Two trucks unloading at the same time at the front door, can you picture this? By 3 PM the trucks were empty and we had a house full of boxes and furniture and well placed in the rooms according to what was written on the boxes, fridge and freezer plugged in turned on, washing machine all connected and ready to go. And no damage to report. A big job well done at amazing speed, we are very happy customers and can recommend this company with great people when you are moving house. Art and Lyn

We had a big job...two pick up points, tricky access and lots of boxes of books. Guys were great...steady and constant. The worst company ever. Where to start?? Didn’t bring s big enough truck for the job. Damaged my table, leather couch, fridge and at the new house damaged the tile floor and walls. The mover insulted my wife and intimidated her and insulted one of our guests that arrived. They then held my couch to ransom because I refused to pay for them to go back and get the other furniture and boxes they left behind, due to the fact they didn’t break the furniture down to move it or use packing blankets so not to scratch or damaged anything. Over charged for stopping working and driving in the opposite direction to feed themselves 2 hours into the job and also extended the time on the form. It gets worse. They were also supposed to do the bond clean. The Manager/cleaner rings that night twice intoxicated apologising and saying she’ll deal with the matter. The next day for the bond clean, one of her kids is mysteriously sick so puts off the clean to the following day, the last day of my tenancy. Arrived at 11am now 9 like she said, no bucket no mop, just a basket of cleaning products. Landlord calls and says she’s doing nothing just sitting there. Ring to see what’s happening, she explains that she’s not the maid and is waiting for someone to clean up the floor, the very thing we hire her to do. She then explains tgere are still things there, I said yes, because your guys didn’t move them for us. As you can imagine frustrated and 3 days of unprofessionalism, destruction and lies, my wife arrived and there were words exchanged at which point she left with no time to get cleaners before the tennants move in the next day. This has cost me twice as much now with no solution in site. When confronted abou the damage, was told insurance won’t cover the items, they’ll assess how much they think they’ll be worth now. Promised a phone number to call from management but still waiting. The nightmare continues and this company has no morals or integrity.

Nothing worse than the thought of packing and moving house. These guys made life so much easier and at a better than reasonable price. From the time they answered my call to the time they said goodbye there was nothing but a professional attitude. These guys looked after my belongings like they were there own, outstanding. I had a great experience with the Local Moves staff. Kristie from the office was so helpful and friendly. And the guys were the same - they were also very careful with my stuff and worked in a steady pace. A simple move was made more difficult when we arrived at my new apartment building to find that the lift was out of order. We had to move everything from the truck up three flights of stairs! The guys took it all in their stride and remained in good humour. I'm very thankful for a stress-free move thanks to Local Moves. I whole-heartedly recommend this service.

I was so impressed with the service and couldn’t recommend this company enough. They made my stressful move so much easier. They got there on time, loaded my furniture very quickly but also took great care. The whole thing took 2 hours less than I had thought it was going to. There was no hidden charges and they didn’t even round up the end figure when I told them they could. I will definitely be using this company for my moves from now on.

Rob and Mitch assisted with the removal of a household of furniture and effects from Carrara to Emerald Lakes. They were great. Don’t be put off by the hourly rate business model. They got in, got the job done quickly and safely and then got off to the next job. Their customer relations were also excellent. I have moved residences now over 20 times and was impressed with what I saw. Highly recommended.

BEST SERVICE AND PRICE!! I was so lucky that LOCAL MOVES had a removal cancelled the same morning that I was desperate since the company with whom I organised my removal did not show up on a Friday at 8am. LOCAL MOVES were efficient, caring and never complaining and I moves to a 3rd floor with no elevator. I can only judge this company by my personal experience today dealing with Rob and Jared. They were on time, polite and professional but above anything else they were fast. It's always a worry when you know you're charged on an hourly rate but this cost me much less than I was expecting due to the speed and ability of these two champions. Thanks Ash

Best removalist company I have ever used in my life, they moved the contents of our 3 bedroom apartment to two (2) nearby duplexes in under 3 hours. No dodgy depot charges, no stalling for time, no unnecessary trips or breaks, just pure unbridled work ethic. When I asked one of the guys if he could move a desk from one duplex master bedroom to another he replied with a smile "I don't go in empty handed", next time he took an item of furniture to the master bedroom the desk came with him. Talk about efficient. Would definitely use again!

We have moved many times, and this recent move was undoubtedly the best we have ever experienced! Shaun and William arrived on time and worked very hard and efficiently. They showed great care with our goods, and the move was completed in a very short time (including plumbing the washing machine in). The price charged was very reasonable, and we have no hesitation in recommending Local Moves highly to those needing to move in the Gold Coast.

I am so happy I found "Local Moves". They made the whole moving experience painless and easy. They were quick and efficient and super professional. They helped us to dismantle and reassemble some of our furniture, treat everything with care and had positive, reassuring energy. 2 guys moved my 2 story house in 6 house. Highly recommended and I will definitely always use them when we move.

On Saturday morning I moved from Ormeau to Southport and it was the most easiest craziest move I have ever experienced. The two gentleman were excellent and very quick at what they do as well as being very careful with my furniture. These Guys are great!!! They worked like Trojans in 40' heat with our move. They were only given short notice, quoted a price by the hour, no 'hidden' fees, just the price they quoted. Hopefully we won't be moving for a while, but when we do, These Guys will be the removalists we use!!! Thanks Guys, you are The Best!!!

We used Gold Coast Local Moves for the second time recently for our move and again the service was exceptional, We ordered our packaging online which was delivered free of charge within two days, Then on moving day we felt we were a little un organised but the removalists kept assuring us everything was ok and got the job done with minimal fuss.
