Words can’t describe how truly grateful we’re with Nicky and the team for very respectful, empathic, professional, caring and personal approach with mum’s funeral. I highly recommend Funerals of Compassion. Nicky and John made what was a very difficult time for our family a seamless process filled with compassion and respect for our mother and my siblings. Nothing was an issue and they were meticulous in the planning and running in what was a beautiful send off for my father. Their staff were equally beautiful, caring and respectful on the day of the funeral. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

My son and l knew we were in good hands as soon as we met Nicky and John. No pressure just kindness. They listened to our story and our needs and kept in touch throughout. Different from most we made funeral arrangements while my husband was in palliative care. We wanted to make sure his wishes were met. Nicky got to know about my husband, and our family and made it easy to talk about those hard decisions at such an emotional time. Nothing was too much. Even a last minute phone call the night before the service to make some changes were effortlessly met. They’re are a genuine family business who cared about our family. Nicky ask me what was most important to me and l said not to have to worry about anything on the day and that’s exactly how it went. It was beautiful. Special mention also of the amazing floral arrangement. Thank you John,Nicky and everyone at Funerals of Compassion

In the worst time of your life, Funerals of Compassion make everything that little bit easier. Nicky is kind and attentive. John was helpful and respectful. The drivers were also professional and appropriate. Everything the day of the funeral was smooth and taken care off. No hiccups or things forgotten. Very grateful for the service, so thank you. The integrity, help, kindness, caring, compassion & professionalism by John & Vicky was wonderful – they are not just wooden funeral employees, as one can sometimes encounter. Both in their different way helped make ‘the day of earthly goodbye’ important and special – a very special thank you to Vicky for going over and beyond on the casket cover, grooming and opening the roses that i purchased, when it looked like they may be too sad to place on the casket.

After the passing of my sister, we googled and found Funerals of Compassion to help guide and organize the funeral arrangements. From day 1 Nicky and Danni from Funerals of Compassion were amazing throughout this process. Both extremely kind, compassionate, patient and professional making the whole process less stressful in a difficult time. Myself and my family were very happy with the end result and would highly recommend them. Again a big thank you to Nicky and Danni.

For our mother's funeral, everything worked well and with out fuss. We appreciated the guidance, support and professionalism receiving many comments about how beautiful and appropriate the service was, several people said where did you find these guys! The flower arrangements were beautiful and the Celebrant caring and totally appropriate. I could hear Mum saying "I'd be happy for these people to do my funeral"

You guided us through a difficult journey and walked hand in hand at both Mum’s viewing and at her funeral service and burial when times got really tough. You ensured my mother looks absolutely amazing throughout the process of saying all our farewells. My mother would have been so happy today. The floral arrangements, casket, guest signing book, tribute roses, printed family representation seat signage and framed memorial photos and holding images looked beautiful! You all did a spectacular job of making her farewell an absolutely momentous and memorable one. Angie

With the sudden passing of my dad, we didn’t know what to do. We had deaths in the family before but all of them happened overseas and this was the first time in Australia. We initially contacted the well-known funeral services as advised by friends but they could only do the burial within two to two weeks and a half. As we prefer to have the burial within a week’s time from our father’s passing, we searched the internet for other companies with excellent reviews and could possibly cater to our needs and found “Funerals of Compassion”. John assisted us from start to finish without any issues. We advised him of our preferred days for the funeral and he was able to organise it within a day. He explained the processes involved and arranged/organised everything accordingly. Whenever we have queries, he responded promptly. In addition, John updated us every step of the way. John and his team did more than what we’ve expected. They were very professional, compassionate, understanding and kind. Most of all, the service was done beautifully. Thank you John and the rest of Funerals of Compassion. Your service and assistance during our time of grief was very much appreciated.

From our very first contact I knew I was in the right hands as you steered me through the process. You were prompt and punctual with all your communication and kept me updated at all times. The extra services you provided from arranging the viewing, the service format, booklets, photo montage, and all the small details that are required were handled so professionally and eased any stress involved. I would like to make special mention of the flowers Vicki arranged, they were spectacular, and I have arranged to have some professionally preserved. Our extended family and friends shared how beautiful the service was and made special mention of Father Solomon and the vocal support of pianist. It was an emotional day for us all, but I was comforted knowing that your staff would ensure every detail was perfect, and it was. Your level of empathy, compassion and understanding every step of the way was more than I expected and helped me, and my family get through one of the most difficult times. John and Vicki are the most compassionate people when it comes to organising a funeral from start to finish. Their genuine care and attention to detail not only makes the whole process seamless, but they go above and beyond what a generic funeral service would provide. This is the second time we’ve used John to organise a family funeral and we will continue to use ‘Funerals of Compassion’ for any future ones as well. Our uncle passed away suddenly so we were unprepared for getting arrangements sorted, however John was able to pull it all together in just over a week so that we were able to give him a beautiful send off. It was a similar situation with my mother-in-law and John was there every step of the way, making sure she was well taken care of. He kept us up to date with what was happening and worked with us in making both funerals exactly what we were hoping – actually exceeding our expectations. That is the type of service you get with a family owned and run business. We would like to thank John for his undivided attention throughout the organising process, making the impossible happen and his professionalism on the day. We would also like to acknowledge the amazing job that Vicki did with the flower arrangements on both coffins and their staff for the wonderful service they also provided on the day. We are forever grateful. I would highly recommend using John & Vicki if you are wanting a more personal service from people that genuinely care about you and your family needs.

I cannot & could not ever express how impressed I was was Nicky & Funerals of Compassion. From the first phone contact with Nicky and even post funeral care, paperwork etc Nicky and the team were exceptional without fault. At such a time of grief and confusion Nicky made the entire process seamless. Her attention to detail was above and beyond what we had expected. She has a genuine interest and concern for the one who has passed but also their family / friends. Having myself arranged a funeral the week before in another state and comparing the care, expertise, professionalism and cost, we were simply blown away with Nicky and Funerals of Compassion. The entire team there on the day was simply beautiful. Thank you to Nicky's son Rocco who also tweaked my media at the start to make it look so much more processional, We asked for a morning tea at the chapel on site and WOW! Far beyond what we had expected. Class all the way. Flower arrangements, the little extra touches we didn't expect. Just so awesome. Thank you also for arranging Michael, the celebrant was perfect and he really listened to our needs and delivered a beautiful service. My mother in law was beside her with grief however the farewell Funerals of Compassion delivered for her soulmate gave her peace knowing it couldn't have been done any better. Bless you Guys. What a team!

Funerals of Compassion are the only lovely people to contact when your loved one has passed. Nicky and John were very understanding and did everything just as we wanted. Out of their own kindness they brought the most beautiful flowers for my loved ones coffin. Nicky even found a particular coffin that my sister liked and approved of before her passing. 5 star service. Nicky and John go out of their way to help. Prices and good and fair.

Nicki and John were very compassionate and caring regarding the arrangement of my late husband's funeral service. The service was handled very professionally and carried out with the minimum of fuss and attendees commented that it was the nicest service that they had attended. I requested that the Celebrant had a bright and bubbly personality and Danni Merchant was absolutely perfect. I would highly recommend using Funerals of Compassion should their services be required to farewell your loved one.

On Sunday the 10 July my husband and I contacted 3 funeral directors with regards to the impending arrangements needed for my Dad. Nicky contacted us within an hour at 7pm on a Sunday night. Whilst Dad's passing was imminent, we were shocked when he passed away the next morning. Due to Nicky’s promptness, demeanor and compassion on Sunday night, she was the first person we rang, even though Funerals of Compassion offices are well out of our area. The nursing home he was at, unfortunately, had no mortuary or storage facilities, so we were very happy that Nicky had transport organised within 1hr of the death certificate being signed. Nicky has made herself available at all hours in our time of need, solved problems, and answered all our (sometimes mundane) questions. She travelled an hour to see us, and her presentation, compassion and professionalism was exceptional. She has led us to solutions to logistical problems, and has made a very stressful time easier than it would otherwise have been. The day of Dad's farewell was beautiful. Everything was exactly as I wanted. We congratulate and sincerely thank Nicky, your team and your Company for your professionalism and empathy.

The loss of a loved one is a difficult and sad time. Having to organise a funeral with dignity and compassion in a short period can seem overwhelming. This process is never easy but the support we got from Funerals Of Compassion helped us honour our memories of Dad. Nicky and John were very respectful, empathic, professional and caring. They have little touches (such as putting a single red rose on the empty chair) which mean so much. Nothing was too much trouble, every little detail in arranging stunning flowers by Vicki was unforgettable. Thank you so much for making a difficult period bearable. I would highly recommend Funerals Of Compassion to anybody wanting friendly, professional funeral directors.

I could not recommend or compliment Funerals of Compassion enough ! All the employees express such empathy and understanding and make you feel completely at ease and comfortable when you need it the most. They are there to comfort you which I needed many a time, they honestly become another part of your family Their service and value for what they deliver is honestly top notch for such little monies compared in price to other funeral companies. They organise everything you need to ease the stress of the family grieving, and are always easily contactable, when you need to have reassurance or to get some advice. I will never be able to thank funerals of compassion for helping me through one of the most darkest times in my life of losing my dad and having his body transported all the way from Broken Hill back to Sydney to give him a proper farewell. I would never look anywhere else since finding them, and I am so thankful to them.

Angels really do walk among us. In our darkest hour, someone was there to totally take control and guide us through one of the most difficult times of our lives. The name says it all; Funerals of Compassion, and it’s a shame that they can’t fit the rest of these words in to describe the amazingly wonderful job that these incredible people do. - empathetic - caring - kind - giving - honest - patient - genuine Everything was explained so well and they literally took our hand and walked us through the process of organising a funeral, patiently and gently. At a time when you just can’t think straight, and everything is a blur - we honestly didn’t have to worry about a thing as everything was taken care of for us.
