Jim's Sopping Oasis is a great little convenience store. They have an excellent variety of products and great specials every week. They are open from 8am until 9pm which is great for picking up milk and bread whenever you need to. The staff are always very friendly.

Mondo's in South Hobart have really awesome pizza. They have a wide variety of toppings from average to gourmet. Not only is the pizza great, but the staff are very friendly too! There is the option of cosy eat in dining or pick up.

If you have never tried pizza from the Godfather, then you must! They make pizza from scratch with fresh ingredients and you can definitely taste the difference. The dine-in restaraunt is quite small and you may not be able to eat in without booking. The pizza seems to take a little longer than in some other shops, but it's worth the wait.

The Cascade Hotel have a great variety on the menu, with daily specials and everyone's favourites. The food is great, I've never had a less than excellent meal. The portions are quite big and represent great value for money. They usually have a shopper docket offer running. Friday night is $10 steak night. You do need to book in advance and be aware they are very busy most nights, especially over the weekend.

Sheepskin and Opal World have a huge range of sheepskin ugg boots and slippers. The staff are very helpful (and patient if it takes you a while to make up your mind!) Most things in the shop are quite expensive, but I suppose you have to pay if you want the best quality slippers that will last a long time. I love my ugg boots, perfect thing for Winter mornings.

Connor's Shoe repairs in Wellington Walk provide excellent and personal service. I took a pair of PVC boots there for repairs and they look absolutely as good as new. The repair cost less than I thought it would too.

The Salad Bowl does have a lot of specialty and hard to find gourmet products. They have quite a good range for such a small shop. It can be hard to get counter service though and some of the products are not so fresh.
