I've got to say, if you want something cheap and easy for dinner, and happen to be shopping at the Coles nearby, this is rather a convenient way to grab a meal. The service is always lovely, and there's always a lunch or dinner special that makes it rather affordable. This is convenience Indian food - the curries are set out in a bain-marie, and you just pick what you want and head on your way. While quick and not made-to-order, it really isn't a bad bite to eat. The naan bread from here is pretty awesome too!

I generally didn't go here for the food - I went for the comedy. Every week they have an amateur stand-up evening, where you can hear local comedians try out new material and practice their bits. If you go for the comedy and grab a couple of drinks while the sets are on, you've got a decent night out for not-too-shabby a price. Admittedly, not all of the comedy is great - but you get what you pay for, and all in all, it's a good night out, especially if you go with a couple of friends.

I've gone here a few times now for a haircut, and have never gone away from them feeling particularly disappointed. The prices are definitely not cheap, but the service is lovely and the staff is nice, and do their best to accommodate your style wants. Overall I'd recommend them, as there really aren't many other options in the Newmarket area in any case, when it comes to hairdressers.

This cafe serves a wide variety of delicious pastries, sandwiches, cakes and cookies, along with some rather decent coffee. The prices are a bit above what you would generally expect to pay, but in reality, for the quality, they're reasonable - especially when you consider the size of some of those sandwiches! The cannoli here is really delicious, and considering how difficult good cannoli is to find, I don't mind paying a little extra when it's good! The baked goods here are not what you would expect to find at a typical patisserie - they're something a little special, and they're priced to match.

This little Vietnamese cafe/bakery is just incredible, with their Vietnamese pork rolls being the stand-out star of the show for just $4. They have a variety of quick and easy Vietnamese goodies such as rice-paper rolls ($5 for 3) and pork buns ($3.50), as well as Vietnamese coffee. They also offer a variety of baked goods, from savoury to sweet, in quite an affordable price-range. They're always busy around lunch-time, but they get through people fairly quickly, as many get their pork-rolls as take-away for a quick lunch on the go.

This review is for Sakura Sushi, Windsor QLD

Sakura sushi is most definitely one of the nicer 'sushi train' style experiences in Brisbane, but for the best of their sushi, start ordering off the menu. The train is generally stocked with a standard selection of items, and you only really get to the more exciting options once you go beyond that. In general though, the food is generally tasty, the prices about on par with other sushi-train type places, and the tea (you serve yourself as you want it) is plentiful. Overall, quite satisfactory.

If you want the best vegetarian breakfast in Brisbane, go no further. This little cafe does burgers and the like for lunch, but I have to say, I think their breakfast menu is their best selling point. This is an awesome place to go for breakfast or brunch, with an awesome selection of items (both made to order or quickly available in their display case), as well as decent coffee made while you wait. Their iced mochas? Soooo yum. Definitely recommend.

The food from this little fish and chip shop is seriously really rather good, however the prices are a touch more expensive than I'd usually want to pay for this kind of meal. That said, the fish and chips are usually spot on, the salads are quite nice, and the burgers definitely look tasty (though I've not tried them yet). Definitely worth a go if you don't mind spending a little bit extra.

Absolutely tasty Indian food from this little Indian restaurant. They're generally fairly affordable, and if you want something in a hurry, they have a standing take-away special with their butter chicken and lamb korma curries where you get curry, rice and naan for either $10 or $15 depending on the size you want. The staff is lovely, and have always served me with a smile when I go there. I haven't had a bad meal yet. I highly recommend the cheese and spinach naan - yum!

If you want a cream cheese bagel and a chai latte to start off your day, this is most definitely the place to go. This little patisserie has a range of items, but most notable are their filled bagels (most of which go for around the $9 mark), and their small pastries and cakes (ranging from $1.80 for petit fours to around $5.50 for some individual serve cakes). While I tend to skip the filled bagels for a more economic option ($3.50 for a cream cheese bagel), the cakes and pastries really are to die for, even if the servings are small for the price. The service is always lovely, even on their busier days when the place is bustling with people. Overall, if you've got a few extra dollars to spend, this place has some seriously delicious items on the menu. Oh... and the salted caramel macarons are to die for.
