I feel a little bad writing a bad review for this family business, but i have given them a second go, as i do honestly believe that everyone has a bad day from time to time.
Even the second time the food wasnt great. the fish was thick in soggy batter and the chips just wernt nice.
The staff is pleasant and there's heaps of parking, also a post office next door and on the other side of the car park a chemist warehouse.
I went as I had read so many good reports on them.
But I feel twice was it for me. sorry peep's :(
I can't say I'm overly impressed with JB Hifi.
We were told when they came into town they were the place to go for all of the brands. So we did and have done a few time's since. But we are in the older bracket age group and have found they are more happy to help the younger people that go in. It always seems a little strange to me that we are left standing when a younger person follows us in and they are asked if they need help before we are?
I would think the younger you were the more you would know about these sort of things? I just found myself floundering around a few to many time's needing help and there was no one to help? or asking for help and was told yep in a min, Im just busy with this young 20yr old hot chick!! I know that probably sounds derogatory but that seems to be the attitude I got for some reason?
I have again been meaning to go into this shop for sometime. On passing today I finally did.
I loved the range of GOURMET AFRIKA product's that I will try from time to time, there is a cookbook on the shelves as well on how to use all of the products that looks very yummy.
Visit there website for recipes on how to use the products and keep up to date with whats going on there is also a Facebook page.
Lovely coffee and a clip card that most seem to have these days, also look out for a shoppa docket 2 for 1 deal. Nice flavoured coffees as well a chia Tea I will try next time. Some things have sugar while some don't.
A great range of sugarless/free product's, bicky's, chocolate, chip's, snacks, jam's preserve's, breaky cereal's a great range, at what I feel was very reasonable price's.
You can have a light lunch also reasonably priced at $7 for a Lasagne for and extra 50c you get a salad as well. Toasted sandwiches around the $5ish mark.
I was very happy to find someone knowledgeable in there as well who knew about diets and diabetes.
Plenty of free parking out front with only one disable parking spot
I met Mark On Facebook when he first started his Gardening business. Not much work about at the time, so Mark started his own.
I had been told at the time that we would be moving into a new home and I found I needed Mark's help to do the garden's windows and such in the rental property we were in at that time. I found Mark to be patient as I had told him of the move and that I was in no position to do the work needed to hand it back to an agent. Not that it was in bad repair, just a tidy up as it was middle of winter months.
I found Mark to be just great, he got on with the work needed and worked to the Budget I had on the day. Totally reliable and trustworthy, I find is very important quality in anyone who works around you home. Mark offers free quotes either online or via email, also I'm sure he would be happy to pop out to inspect what needs to be done, giving you a quote that way.
Mark will do most jobs that need doing about the place. He has a list of things he does on his webpage and will chat with you on Facebook. He is a friendly helpful man who also has his own equipment he brings along with him.
On his webpage he has specials he offer's for that month and a Huge bonus for us as he has a pensioner discount that I was Very happy about.
Approximate cost: $25 ph
Boldings Bakery was the first bakery I tryed when I moved to Eaglehawk. I found the ladies who owned and ran it lovely and had time for their loyal customers and knew each by name. Some may not notice but there is a hand rail on the doorway to help you in and out if you are elderly or disable.
Fresh breads, rolls, pies and sausage rolls daily and the service is good and old fashioned, just how I liked it to be.
I have been to Bamix, The Cooks Gallery a few time's now. I was looking for a new Kettle today and ended up with a lovely one I put on the stove instead of an electric I was really after.
BUT I wasn't talked into it, I felt right for me and Loved the shape of it and the Knowledge of the sales person on the day.
I love to go in when they have a Sale, as they have Great Sale's. You can always find something to suit someone as a gift in here at a reasonable price.
Also Some cute party items, A great range of cookware of different price ranges and heaps of help.
There's always recipes floating around the store that are free for you to pick up as you go if something takes your eye..
A Nice range of Breads, Cakes and Pies all at what seemed to be reasonable price's.
Hot and Cold drinks.
Coffee we had in a medium takeaway cup, was lovely and not too hot to handle, not too strong also. I find that a real problem to find a nice tasting coffee thats not bitter.
Tables inside and out to have Lunch.
Also enter through the back door from the IGA supermarket carpark. Heaps of parking in the front and rear of store.
I was really happy with the knowledge and the help that I received form here. I asked to be served by an older female if that was at all possible, they were only too happy to help all they could.
They have a great range of herbal teas and a few different brands of natural medicines. Lovely essential oils at reasonable price's. A few natural breads and grains and will help with anything you need.
I was very happy in here and will go in again as I did love that there was a man to help, maybe incase of man sort of problems? as well as women, but I do know she was Very helpful with myself.
a quirky little cafe. We stopped in for coffee for my partner and I had a homemade juice that was lovely and reasonably priced. We sat on an old fashioned couch just near the stairway that was cute.
My partner said the coffee was great on the day and I found the juice to be very refreshing, it did however come in a plastic takeaway container that I found a little odd seeing as we said are sitting in?
I was very impressed with this little shop and Lillie herself who is the owner and sale's assistant.
There is so much in here, Shoe's, Bags, Wallet's, Tops, Pants, Jackets, everything you need to put it together, Lillie herself will help and is very good at putting together an outfit for you. She has garments that are so different to the more standard casual to dressy, I think anyone would find something in here ladies of all age's.
I am on the large side, she was truly honest and showed me all of the items cut on the large side that would fit me. I was so happy to have her help as I found so many items in the shop I loved.
I went in not really wanting anything but found a jacket in there I had been looking at in my home town for $20 less.
I will be visiting Lillie again as she has everything I would ever want in clothing.
