I'm a bit undecided about TGIs as the service always lets it all down. I've been left waiting to pay a number of times, which makes no sense as surely they want to get their money and fit more customers in? The Jack Daniels burger is my go to as it is tasty, filling and comes with great fries and sauce. TGI is pretty expensive for what you get, which is why I feel the service should be much better. They often have the footy or American sports on the tvs which is great if you want to still catch the game.

Oasis bakery started off as a middle eastern supermarket and they have grown into selling almost anything you could need in the shop, with an added cafe and cooking school. I've only eaten breakfast at the cafe but it is great. I got the minced lamb, which is cooked in a clay pot with eggs and is served with Turkish bread-really good!
From the supermarket section you have to get one of the big loaves of Turkish bread, some dips (fantastic beetroot one), some mini frozen Turkish pizzas and a selection of their spices. Oasis also do really good Turkish donuts that are so bad for you but oh my! Fried and then soaked in a honey syrup they are heaven! They now offer parking behind the shop but it can still get pretty busy.

When they're offering pizzas for $4 (during certain hours) and they taste great, there's not much else you can say! There's a great range of toppings, and Lucky Coq also do dessert pizzas which are so good! To go with your cheap pizzas, you've got to try their flavoured vodkas-the musk is very yummy. Seating can be limited during busier times as group will save lots of seats for theirs friends. Best time to check them out is lunch, or before a night out.

Approximate cost: $4

Maharani is just around the corner so it's where I go when I want tasty Indian. It used to be amazing quality day in, day out, but recently some of the dishes have lacked their touch occasionally. My favourites are the naan (they have a great selection), curry puffs, butter chicken and mango lassi (thick and fruity!). If you order for takeaway you get a free rice per main meal which I think is a great bonus. The meals are also priced very well. Just a tip-if you like your curries spicy let them know as a lot of their curries are on the milder side (but for me that is perfect).

We get all our Milk delivered from Aussie Farmers and it makes life a breeze. We just leave out the bag Tuesday and they ring your doorbell once it is in the bag. A couple times they didn't have enough of what we were after so they will replace it with another very similar item (usually same item but from a different brand). In the past we also got our yoghurt delivered but couldn't quite keep up with the supply every week!
I like knowing that I'm buying Australian products and the drivers are very friendly and efficient at their job.

For quick, tasty pizzas, Zac is where I head to. You can eat in or get takeaway. You get plenty of toppings on the pizzas and these include all the regulars. Hawaiian is just how I like it-lots of ham and pineapple piled up, and the Aussie is really good. If you like a minimalistic pizza then this won't be for you, but if you want great pizza that will fill you up then this is my pick. The staff there are all quite nice and serve you quickly.

Soda Rock has some of the best selections of old school shakes and they are served up in such a cool looking diner. Each table comes with a mini juke box and you can put a coin in and pick some songs to be played-I thought this was really cute. I had an Oreo milkshake and it was the best one I've had-icy cold and nice and thick. The burgers and chips are pretty good and add to the diner experience.

Pelligrinis has been in Melbourne for years and I was pleased to see that hardly a thing has change through the years. There is a small menu with just a handful of items but they are quite tasty. I had the gnocchi with a mix of the pesto and tomato sauce. It was served very quickly with a plain roll and butter. The roll wasn't great but I loved the pasta. My partner had the lasagna and said it was pretty good. If you are after a piece of the old Melbourne check this out.

This is one of those great places in the city you can go to for a dinner for two, drinks, a large gathering or breakfast. They have a varied selection of meals with specials that rotate occasionally. For dinner it can get quite busy so either book or you can wait at the bar and try a cocktail as they often have specials. I have a lychee one that was delicious.
The food is great tasty and pretty filing. They have a big dessert fridge with many cakes and desserts.

The Entertainment book is such a great idea. Firstly I love that you can sell them to make money for your organisation so a good fundraiser. It's pretty easy to make up what you spent on the book as there are many offers inside. I love eating in the city so for me it is great. There are many higher end restaurants included, although with plenty of mid and lower end priced places. If you love trying new places and getting a discount then the Entertainment book is a good investment.
