We try to do the Coffee Pot every so often for breakfast on Saturday mornings. It has always been really busy on the Saturday mornings we have gone in so it can be tricky to get a seat some times. I suppose this shows what a popular place this is.
They do a nice Big Breakfast and the coffee is quite good. Freshly squeezed juices are also good for a bit of a pick me up .
I love that when ordering tea, I actually got a tiny coffee pot with my water in it. Nice novel detail! It is nice in warmer months as well as there is a balcony out back which over looks the Werribee River.
Service - I would say the service is ordinary, but I have never had any bad experiences here so thumps up for service.

Approximate cost: $20?> We nromally only do breakfast

We Would only come here again for dessert and coffee. We were left waiting 15 minutes before any one took our drinks order and this was on a quiet Sunday afternoon. Maybe it was a case of out of sight out of mind as we were in a big room by ourselves?
The entrees - We ordered Wedges and garlic bread. The wedges were over cooked which made them too crunchy and bitter tasting. This was still better then the garlic bread which literally had big chunks of charcoal around the crust. A little charcoal is OK but this was ridiculous. Why did some one not make the call to redo these dishes especially since it was so quiet. Not impressed. A shame because the inside of the bread was nice and fluffy.
No one had any complaints about mains. They were nice enough. Drink service was not good. We ordered drinks when we received our meals and still 15 minutes later no drinks. We advised the young man serving us and he went and checked on them for us. Dessert was the redeeming feature. Great range of cakes and desserts on the menu and sensational coffee.

Approximate cost: $20-$30. We paid about $150 for 6 meals , drinks and desserts total.

My husband and I visit this restaurant at least once a month for a treat. It was recommended to us by a friend who was a regular there.
The inside of the restaurant is not flash admittedly but we go because of the food not the ambiance! It is a good place to go if you have family. There is a small play ground out the side. Again, not flash but at least there is a bit of space for the kids to run about.
The lady at the front desk (sorry, not sure of her name) is always friendly and even remembers what we like to order, which is lovely.
We always order the garlic prawns. I haven't found a nicer garlic prawns any where. It is served with salad, rice and the nicest chips. We always have trouble finishing it all, they have a good sized serve.
The Tandoori Pizza is sensational. The finishing touch is the mango chutney and sour cream on top. The lamb gourmet pizza isn't bad either.
We have also enjoyed the risottos and the ice chocolates (YUM!) Probably won't order the ribs again or the nachoes . They were not terrible but we have had better else where.
Overall this is one of our favourite places for a nice casual meal.

Approximate cost: $15-$20

My experiences ; I normally visit Raff's with friends for catch ups.
The food is always great so compliments to the chef.
In my experiences, It generally took a while for food to come out (eg 30minutes), but the food is worth the wait, I have yet to be disappointed by the food.
The service has been disappointing.
I love friendly smiles when you walk in to a restaurant and when ordering. I didn't get that here.
I always feel like I am interrupting their personal conversations over the bar. It has been some times hard to get some of the staffs attention if we needed any thing extra (ie drink refills, condiments etc) as they were chatting away behind the bar. This has happened a few times now, with the last occassion being in July on a quiet week end. On this occasion there were only 5 other people in the restaurant! It's good to have a chat at work with work mates, but it felt like they were quite disinterested in serving their customers at that time. Maybe I just go in at the wrong times?

Overall, the good ; Love the lamb salad. Reasonable coffees and a great variety of cakes.
The bad; Just the service really. Hate to sound harsh as I am sure there are friendly waiters there but I haven't had that experience as yet. Hopefully next time ( if there is a next time)

Approximate cost: $20
