Alan Arnott

Alan Arnott - Managing Partner

BSc(Computing)., LLB

Alan has approximately 18 years of experience providing corporate, commercial, regulatory, M&A and dispute resolution/litigation legal services for technology and telecommunications businesses. With university qualifications in both law and computer science, he understands the legal and tech issues that matter most to his clients and can quickly pinpoint the critical issues in any commercial contract negotiation.

He recently won the 2021 Lawyers Weekly Telecommunications Partner of the Year Award and was also a Finalist for the 2021 Lawyers Weekly Technology Partner of the Year Award.

Alan is the author of Stellar Results Through Technology Contract Negotiations, a book that he wrote to expose 10 legal myths that many CEOs fall prey to when negotiating technology contracts.

Jonathan Beran

Jonathan Beran - Partner

Jonathan is an experienced Senior Lawyer and ex-General Counsel with more than 15 years of legal experience in corporate/commercial, disputes and regulatory matters.

He brings a wealth of local and international experience to the team, having worked in private practice in Sydney, London and Tel Aviv, first as a litigator, and then as a technology lawyer in a number of in-house executive legal roles.

Jonathan has significant experience advising owners and senior management on the structuring, drafting and negotiating of a range of complex commercial agreements, including software and other enterprise technology sales and service transactions.

Guy Betar - Partner

Guy is a senior Commercial, Corporate and Technology lawyer with over 25 years’ experience as a law firm partner, corporate counsel, executive and non-executive director, team leader and executive manager.

He has Australian and international expertise in a wide range of commercial legal activities, particularly IT/IP, as well as media and creativity. Guy has worked on transactions in the Middle East, Europe, Asia and the US, and have negotiated and managed large, multi-national transactions in various parts of the world. 

Guy is  very comfortable and experienced in working with a diverse range of cultures, laws and systems, including the Middle East, Asia Pacific, Europe and North America. Guy has extensive experience in advising on structuring, negotiating, drafting and implementing complex commercial agreements and arrangements, particularly in the IP and IT fields. He is an experienced executive and team leader, and am well versed in directorships and executive management as well as the practice of law. Guy is also a published author and an experienced presenter.
