About
My biggest purpose is to help those who ask. Yes, not everyone, because you are the one who first decides to make the change! If you know there is something at the back of your mind that is stopping you from having a better and more fulfilled life then this is my invitation for you - let's explore it..! I am a certified practitioner of Ericksonian hypnotherapy, so what I offer first and foremost is the conversation, whether it is about your career, your personal life, or any other problems - even the ones you do not want to talk about can be covered content-free (that means you do not need to tell me what the problem is - simple).
I also deliver chronic pain relief through OldPain2Go and train parents in Sleeptalk for children to build lasting self-esteem and correct the behaviour of children in the early years of development.
I am a freelance translator and proofreader with several decades of experience. I had translated and interpreted in many interesting areas from business through politics to film and television. As I have more time now I have extended my services to teaching English to satisfy the demand by those who, like me, are not native speakers of English. To achieve a native or near-native proficiency you do not need to live in an English speaking country all your life, you can reach that same level by developing consistent unconscious habits through targeted practice and specific use of language.
I had a long career in Information Technology, working as a Computer Programmer at the ANU in Canberra in the early '90s, later as a web developer and database administrator. I taught at the University of Canberra and the Riverina Institute in Albury.

How do you handle stage fright before a motivational speaking event?
I offer my clients a simple technique of guided visualisation called Mindscaping. This can be useful and powerful to prepare you for speaking in public. Each time you can travel through the landscape you imagine in your mind, explore the barriers and hurdles in front of you, and make the right moves to overcome them. You consider the strengths you already have - being an expert on the subject matter, a person known to the audience, or someone that can share an experience that is unique to you! You can visualise taking the audience on that journey with you as well, and imagine how you reach the destination together! And that can be the common goal or the common reward for not just you but for THEM too. It's a win-win!
