Mak Pool Inspections are a local family owned business that service Metropolitan Melbourne, Mornington Peninsula and outer suburbs. Our pool safety inspectors have an unrestricted license to carry out pool safety inspections, and will provide a pool safety certificate upon satisfactory completion of our visit, together with a comprehensive pool safety inspection report.

If you are buying, selling or leasing a property, our pool safety inspectors can come to your property and make sure it’s safe and complies with the current requirements. Your swimming pool should be fun, but it should also be safe. If the essential precautions are not taken and safety regulations are not met, the risk of a serious accident increases significantly.

Free Reinspection

We will provide a secondary visit after all recommended repairs have been made free of charge.

Fast Reporting

Receive a comprehensive clear and concise report with detailed photos attached within 24 hours.

Licensed & Insured

Our inspectors are experienced, insured and authorized by the Victorian Building Authority. Their expertise and integrity will provide accurate reports so you can get your pool and spa certified.

How It Works

Easy Pool Inspection Steps

Register Your Pool or Spa

Register your pool or spa with the relevant council. Contact them or check their website to get more information on how to register your pool or spa, and the necessary fees. Complete the registration form and pay the fee.

The local council will give you a confirmation letter that indicates the date your pool or spa has been registered, when it was constructed, the applicable Barrier Standard, the right to appeal the construction date to the Building Appeals Board, and the date when the first or next certificate of barrier compliance must be lodged.

Schedule An Appointment

Book an appointment with MAK Pool Inspections Melbourne. Our experienced inspectors will conduct a thorough inspection of your pool or spa barrier and if they are up to standard, a certificate of compliance will be issued to you.

In case our inspectors find any issue with your barriers, we will provide you a comprehensive report outlining the improvements that need to be made.

Issue Certificate of Barrier Compliance

Once necessary changes are complete, we will conduct a free of charge follow-up inspection and issue a certificate of barrier compliance which will need to be lodged with your council within 30 days from it being issued.

As per the VBA and councils recommendation, please conduct a self assessment of your pool and spa safety barrier using the relevant checklist below.

Self-Assessment Checklists

No amount of self-assessment can replace a professional pool and spa barrier inspection. But if you want to know where your pool or spa currently stands and what improvements you need to make, you can check the checklists below to get you started.
