Welcome to Nunawading Clinic

Thank you for visiting Nunawading Clinic online. We hope you find the information on this site useful. If you need further assistance or information, one of our receptionists will be happy to help you over the phone or in person at the clinic.

CURRENT NEWS & INFORMATION

Nunawading Clinic is pleased to advise that we are an approved vaccination provider for COVID-19 vaccines. Having a safe and effective COVID-19 vaccine is one way we can protect our community against coronavirus. COVID-19 vaccines help to prevent serious illness and death from COVID-19, and they are free for everyone in Australia. We are happy to help provide COVID-19 immunisation for our local area and wider community. For more information, please visit our COVID-19 Information page.

We are open and will continue to provide quality health care in the best and safest way possible. Please book online or call 9878 9191 for an appointment.

Telehealth consults available

The Federal Government has given access to Medicare subsidised Telehealth services due to the Covid-19 epidemic. Medicare rebates are available to existing patients who have attended at least one face-to-face service in the past 12 months.

Our usual billing policy will apply for all consultations (at the surgery, telehealth or telephone). We bulk bill consultations for pensioners, concession card holders and children under 16 years of age. Exceptions to this policy will be advised at the time of booking. Additional fees may apply for procedures, depending on complexity.

Please make sure we have your correct mobile number on file.

Waiting room policy

Our waiting room is now open, provided you don’t have any COVID symptoms. Please report to reception when you arrive.

Masks are recommended when you come into the clinic.

If you have any respiratory symptoms, please wait in the car and call the reception. Please note that masks are mandatory if you have any respiratory symptoms.

Online bookings

Online bookings are available from our website or the HotDoc App. As a precaution to protect patients, staff and the public, and to determine your Medicare rebate eligibility, you will be asked a few screening questions. Please answer honestly.

Not all available appointments are listed online so if you feel your matter is urgent, please call us and we will endeavour to fit you in on the same day.

Payments

We are not taking cash or cheques. All payments are to be made via our EFTPOS machine or over the phone.

GP Registrars

Nunawading Clinic & Vermont Health Care have had a long history of teaching registrars over the years and a number have stayed on after completion as part of our current team. We provide a full spectrum of General Practice work from Home visits, Workforce medicals, Nursing Home visits in addition to our comprehensive in-house General practice services. We have five Accredited Supervisors in our clinics and a few of them are also involved as Fellowship Examiners for the RACGP.

We would love to have a chat and help you explore your options in General Practice.  If this has piqued your interest, please feel free to forward your CV or alternatively, contact the clinic to speak with a Supervisor (Dr Christine Lin).

GP’s who have achieved their vocational registration are also welcome to apply for a position as well.

Newest additions to the Nunawading team

A BIG warm welcome to our latest registrar Dr Gurpreet (Preet) Singh.

Fracture Diversion Project in Conjunction with Eastern Melbourne PHN

Dr Jerry Hsu is part of a year-long project where fractures which are amenable for GP management are being seen and managed in our Vermont Health Care clinic. He has undergone further training and attachments at Box Hill Hospital to provide this service to patients. This service is open to the community as well and does not need a referral. If you have a suitable fracture and have been referred to the fracture clinic or Emergency Department at Box Hill Hospital or Maroondah Hospital, you may be offered a list of GPs in your area who are participating in this project.

Kidney Stone Diversion Project in Conjunction with Eastern Melbourne PHN

Dr Jerry Hsu at Dr John Chae are actively involved in this project which helps reduce the burden of Eastern Health kidney stone clinics. If you have been instructed by the hospital to see us about your kidney stone, please call our reception to book in your appointment.
