Who we are – Somerville Doctors has been servicing the local community for over 8 years as a mixed billing, general medical practice. We have a team of experienced male and female Doctors and Allied Health professionals.
What we do – Our team of experienced male and female doctors offer a diverse range of medical knowledge, skills and compassionate care to all our patients. We work hard to ensure you receive prompt, personal and professional medical advice and treatment.
Our GPs and Allied Health professionals see patients for appointments from Somerville, Baxter, Langwarrin South, Pearcedale, Tyabb, Moorooduc and the wider Mornington Peninsula area.

Home Visits
Our GP’s do home visits within normal clinic opening hours to known patients within a 5km radius of the practice. Our GP’s may undertake a home risk assessment. GP carries a mobile phone and can liaise with our reception staff.

Security of your Health records are important, so only relevant staff members can see your information.

Feedback – If you have any feedback relating to your time with us, please feel free to discuss this with our staff or place a note in the suggestion box.
Complaints – If you wish to make a formal complaint, please request a complaints form from reception. This can be filled out in the clinic and handed in, or posted in once completed.

Results – Please make an appointment on the day of your consultation unless advised by your doctor (appointments for results are Bulk Billed).

Appointments & Fees
To improve our medical consultations with all our patients, the GP’s at Somerville Doctors now use a pre-consultation questionnaire (completed by the patient) called BetterConsult, that gives your doctor an improved understanding of the reason for your visit.
How does the BetterConsult questionnaire benefit you?
- It allows your doctor a more comprehensive insight into your medical condition/s and related health factors
- It allows your doctor to spend more time with you talking about treatment options
- Allows you to document your health concerns – Ensure you cover all your conditions/ailment during the consult
- Improved privacy when answering questions about your health.

Fees
Billing – Fees & Conditions
Somerville Doctors is a mixed billing practice. We offer reduced fees for pensioners and concession card holders. Please ask reception for more details. There are additional out of pocket costs for certain procedures and Saturday & Sunday consultations.
We Bulk Bill:
a) Children under the age of 16
b) Pensioners over the age of 65
c) DVA Card Holders
Valid Cards – All patients must show a valid Medicare Card, Pension or DVA Card to be eligible for Bulk Billing.
Workcover – Does not fall under Medicare, payment is due on day of appointment.
Private patients and overseas visitors – Are charged fees according to their level of consultation. Please ask our friendly reception staff for fees and details.
