My wife & I started looking at the possibility of building a house back in 2018, after many ups and downs trying to find a builder that would accommodate our unique situation we finally found Stroud Homes Brisbane East team. They had a wide range of plans to suit our need for a main residence and granny flat whilst also being very flexible and accommodating of any amendments to their designs. From day one of meeting with their sales team at the display home to signing day to handover day the team provided exceptional service. They constantly communicated with us, and respectfully continued to answer all our questions in an extremely timely manner. The finish of the house was fantastic as well. We were able to move in within twelve months from signing contract to handover, and the build took only 10 months from breaking ground to handover, crazy in this environment! Well organised, constant communication, super friendly and a pleasure to work with on our very first house build. Should we build more in the future, SHBE are at the top of the list to work with! From the moment we met the Stroud East sales team, the build itself, followed by the maintenance has been a seamless process. We built during covid and floods but the constant communication from Matt the site manager and [Name Removed] in the offices was regular, clear and informative. We are first time builders and always felt supported through the process and would love to build again with them. Builder friends comment on the high quality of the build. We feel very lucky to have selected such a great team and would highly recommend them to anyone.

The team at stroud were fast, efficient and effective. The process was transparent and prices were kept fixed even as prices for raw material and labour was rising. As a home owner, not only having the comfort of knowing that cost was not spiralling out of control but also having a team of professionals that provides with timely updates is music to our ears. I was really happy with my experience with Stroud. David and Lisa and the team were all very helpful and easy to work with. It was really easy to contact them with any concerns and they were fabulous in addressing my queries. This is my first house and quiet stressful for me personally so I really appreciated having a team who I felt comfortable communicating with.

I have been in my home for nearly a year now and am loving it. Have not had many problems. Only minor things like a leaky sink or doors bowing when first moved in (this was expected when first getting settled in) but this was all fixed up promptly. The workmanship on the house is great and have had a lot of friends complementing me on how wonderful of a job Stroud has done.

Stroud Home Brisbane East (Owners: David and Lisa Adams), helped us design and build a new Duplex at Capalaba from late 2020 to mid 2021. We had a large corner lot and we wanted it to look very much like a standard new home, with a unit facing each frontage, as part of a small subdivision containing modern standard homes. David and Lisa are ‘hands on owners’ and their team were a pleasure to deal with during the whole process and the finished product was great – they followed everything through as they said, there were no hidden surprises and the quality and finish is good. If any minor issues came up, and we built at a time when trades and supplies were sometimes delayed, we resolved all mattes without any difficulties. The build price and quantity delivered was all that was promised at the start and they always aimed to please. It is a pleasure to have an organization that delivers all that they promise without any hidden extras or charges – we would recommend them to anyone and would certainly build with them again!
Finally, to be very clear, we are specifically recommending David Adams as the Registered Builder and owner of the Brisbane East franchise holder of Stroud Homes.

David and Lisa (the owners) are two of the nicest people we have met. David was very easy to work with, quick to respond to any design or construction queries, and met all of their timeframes along the way.
I am a civil engineer who has been in residential subdivision development for over 30 years, and i can honestly say that David is one of the best builders i have worked with.
Stroud committed to a 5 month building contract over the Xmas period which i thought was risky, but despite the fact that we had weeks of rain over the period, Stroud were only 2 weeks past the 5 month building period.
Like every builder, there were a few issues at the end to correct, but Stroud corrected them pretty quickly.
My wife and i are now happy with our home and love living in the home.
We will definitely build with Stroud Brisbane East again should the occasion arise.

We decided to build on Macleay Island in Queensland and we were concerned that even though we are very close to Brisbane the only access to the island is by barge and ferry. We decided to go with Stroud East and the team there were extremely professional in every aspect of our home build from modified design, quality workmanship, the project completed ahead of schedule and regular communication and updates. We were involved in all stages of the build and any questions we had were answered promptly and always to our satisfaction. With our home nearing handover we would like to thank the team at Stroud Homes Brisbane East . The approach taken from the first meeting with Chris ( sales consultant) through to the office ( David / Lisa & Shennyn ) was a refreshing change from previous dealings with other builders ( this is our third build ) being able to talk & deal direct with David from Day 1 felt more like a tight knit family builder other than the typical project builder . Even though we made changes along the way David & Matt ( construction manager )we’re very accomodating in meeting our requests. We found Matt to be excellent in all aspects of the build nothing seemed to be too much trouble for him . Dave, you were so patient with us at the beginning in looking at many different designs until we found one that would work for us. Nothing was too much trouble for you to put together as an idea as you worked to customise the home design to our needs.
Once the build started, Matt, Lisa and Shennyn were wonderful in keeping us up to date with the progress and talking us through any questions we had (of which there were many being first time builders and home owners). Matt’s project management skills were great in managing various different trades and changes amongst many questions from us. This was especially appreciated in managing the restrictions due to COVID-19 towards the latter part of the build.
Our overall build came in under contract price which reflects the great work done by the team prior to the build.
The quality of the house is immaculate and we know that we will have many wonderful memories in this home.

Almost the final stage and near to the handover time of our new house, I would like to take this opportunity to thank our builder, Stroud Homes Brisbane East (SHBE). As this is our first building home, we initially would be afraid of the long and complicated process, however, we are so blessed that we found this builder who has been letting us hassle-free in the long journey. Both of my husband and myself are working in creative industries who have high quality and design standards on interior design, we would always like a modern industrial style of house and Stroud Homes is absolutely delivering what we would like.

Special thanks to Lisa, she is always a good communicator, very clear and patient to talk us through every steps, different procedures and pricing. I still remembered the time when we started building our house, we were here in Brisbane for just a few days and we were packed with business meetings and Lisa was so flexible to meet with us on a Sunday afternoon! I liked her suggestions most of the times as she always not only using as a professional builder point of view, but also as a mother and housewife. i.e. a user’s viewpoints which let us easier to make our decisions. Much appreciate her efforts who is always articulate, understandable and reasonable. Dave is very professional and patiently explained to us the pros and cons of different materials for the house frame and walls. Matt, the site manager, has strong sense of responsibility and always keep us informed the work in progress on every Friday. He took care of us and explained every details of the progress proactively every time when we were at site visits. Shennyn is also very nice and caring as she used to bring the plans and samples to our home for review and discussions while I was taking care of my two children alone and not able to go to their office. The entire team, they are all very nice, polite, responsive and considerate persons and have also been demonstrating the team’s profession, hardworking and momentum.

They use Voxer app for communications which is similar to WhatsApp and TG apps, which is very user-friendly and good for keeping everybody on the same page. Although there were some minor issues happened recently, appreciate they fixed them in a positive and timely manner. We can really feel that they are truly glad of helping us to build our desired beautiful and loving house. Their passions towards what they are working on professionally is definitely highly regarded. We are so looking forward to living into our new home soon and we will update photos of our new house when it is handover.

We chose Stroud to build our granny flat as we immediately felt comfortable with them. Working out our design with Chris was fun and he had some great ideas. The quoting was prompt and thorough and very competitive. When we got to plan stage, they were flexible and helped us with changes and choosing colors was easy with their interior designer on hand for advise.

As the build was onto our existing property, it meant that my family and i were involved with the trades on a daily basis and they were all so nice and polite, never leaving mess around when they went home which was important to us. This also meant that we had the opportunity to watch every step of the process which was sometimes a little daunting, but the site supervisor Matt was never far away. If we had any issues they were dealt with immediately. Most importantly though i wasn’t made to feel like my questions or opinions were silly (i had a few) and someone in the team was always quick to respond to me, I never had to follow up.

The end product is amazing and we are really impressed with the quality. We are confident that if we ever did have any issues down the road, they would help us sort it out.

We can thoroughly recommend this team. Everything went smoothly and was finished way before the scheduled date. If we were ever to build again we would be back.

The first day we met with Lisa and David, they made us feel welcome and were very accommodating with all our inquiries throughout the whole process.

It was our first home building experience, everything was completely new to us. We are overwhelmed with so much features and attractive inclusions given to choose from, But Lisa and David were tremendously patient to us. They know our budget, they tried to brief us through all the options and ensuring we understood what we were looking for, and also provided us suggestions based on their expertise. Nothing was too silly or too much to ask as we are totally new to the building process. Most importantly, all quotes are clearly stated Black & White, no surprises at the end of the building.

We had additional requests that comes up during the middle of the build, which were never refused by Lisa. She will have the requests carefully examined by the site manager, Matthew. Matthew and his team had been wonderful. Queries throughout the process were responded to promptly, not only that, weekly updates were provided with pictures, conversations messages and emails about the building process and what was coming up next. We were always look forward for the weekly updates, and it had become our routine to do so & also a big thank you to Shennyn for her administrative support throughout the process as well, it was very helpful.

Stroud Brisbane East recently finished our gorgeous family home. From design conception to home completion, they made our dream a reality. We were able to change the Stroud plan to suit our needs. This was at no extra cost and one of the reasons we chose Stroud. It was great to be able to design our home exactly how we wanted it to look.
