We chose Stroud Bundaberg to build our forever home. We had a budget and a house style in mind. Stroud Bundaberg worked with us to alter their plan and put in place upgrades where we wanted and cost savings in other areas that were less important to us. The quote came in under our budget so we were thrilled. The end product has been our exact vision. While we had some weather issues during our build, Stroud always stived to say on the allotted time frame. We found all staff and supervisors to be helpful, respectful and understanding of our questions. I am happy to show people my home and I proudly tell them to go and see Aletha and Slade at Stroud Wide Bay.

From the first contact with Sales right through to our Handover in May 22 we have been delighted with the professionalism, communication and quality of build we have received. All questions were answered promptly and followed up with relevant paperwork. I knew exactly where we stood financially and also the progress of the build at any given time. This is the second time we have built, and this experience has been stress free and we have enjoyed the whole process. The communication has been exceptional and when there has been a small hiccup, we were contacted immediately and advised on the course of action to fix it.

I work in a similar industry and when our house price increased before we signed our contract, I was not surprised, I was seeing the same increases in my workplace, in fact the increase to our build cost was less than i expected. I was happy to sign at the new price. The only changes to cost have been due to our own requests for variations along the way, all of which were thoroughly documented. As I said earlier, I knew where we were placed financially at all times.

Having previously built with a budget builder and been swamped with extra costs before and after the build, I decided I would go with a company that could provide me with a quality build that I could just walk into with no extra work to be done.

Stroud Bundaberg delivered and I LOVE everything about my home, although still uncertain about my pendant lights LOL (but they were my choice).

We had a fantastic experience building with the Stroud Homes Bundaberg team. We were supported throughout the process. No question was too difficult to answer. From start to finish we were kept informed through weekly calls from the supervisor in charge of our build, keeping us in the loop.
I loved the colour consult. We were very nervous walking into the meeting, but we walked out confident our house would be be beautiful. The sales staff were a wealth of knowledge and could see my vision.
The workmanship and build quality was a high standard. There are so many inclusions, including stone bench tops and in our design, pendant lights and outdoor tiles. The unique facades with cladding, stone work and wooden features along with the detail to quality is what sold us.
We had no issues during the build, there was good communication which was fantastic.

The final cost was slightly more than our estimated cost as we added and changed some things from the original quote and contract price. Such as a concrete mower strip around the house and extra power points. This was an extra that we requested and a variation to the price was made without a drama.

We are so proud and can’t wait to entertain our friends and family in our forever home.

Stroud Homes helped take the stress out of building our first home in the middle a pandemic. They explained each step in the building process and gave us weekly phone calls to update us on the build progress and were very transparent when there were any delays due to supply or tradesman shortages. The quality of the build exceeded our expectations and they were quick to resolve any minor issues that needed fixing. We couldn’t be happier with our new home!

My partner and I are incredibly grateful for the Stroud Homes Bundaberg team and so glad that we decided to go with them as our builder for our first home. Our block of land was not the easiest to build on, with a slope, a lot of rock and there was quite a bit of wet weather to make things all the more difficult at the start of the build. But the Stroud team handled it amazingly and professionally, giving us a good solid foundation as well as keeping the cost down for us. Throughout the build we were kept well updated with our weekly calls and photos from Scott, which was much appreciated as we are not local to the area. The team at Stroud Homes Bundaberg were firstly chosen utilising the amazing website that Stroud has. We were able to look at all the plans and walk throughs of the different properties available. Stroud were awesome to work with and when we needed a few minor changes this was not a problem. We love the Black and White Quotes as we know first up what $$$$ our house will cost us.

Loved that Stroud utilises an independent Handover team to inspect prior to handover.

Friday updates were great as it kept us in the loop although it was great living nearby and we could admire out house as it was being built.

So happy to have a beautiful house filled with high quality inclusions that not all builders include as Standard inclusions.

Having had many renovators over the years, we were more than happy with the easy process of having our new home built. Slade & Aletha along with the team at Stroud Homes Bundaberg have done an outstanding job of our home. We were very fortunate to move into our beautiful home on Good Friday – handed over right on schedule ;-). Perfect timing for Easter get togethers with family & friends, who absolutely love it.

We could not be happier with the whole process. There were many designs, choices and options to consider (& change our minds on a number of occasions), however with the expertise assistance of Aletha, Slade & the team, nothing was a problem and all concerns and queries were easily sorted.

Extremely pleased with the workmanship and the quality of our first home, we always thought owning a home was out of the question let alone building a home but they helped us make it happen. From the moment we contacted Stroud Homes Wide Bay in Bundaberg, Aletha and Slade made us feel very welcomed and accommodated with our requests and budget and never felt like anything was too much. We knew nothing about building or mortgage but they steered us in the right direction. Scott our site supervisor was amazing and always kept us in the loop, we looked forward to our Friday phone calls to know what stage we were up to. All of the wonderful admin staff were great. We had many obstacles to get through with council and what not and they made everything happen quickly and professionally. We loved the fact that all quotes are Black and White and we had no nasty surprises at the end of our build. Would recommend Stroud Homes to anyone!

Stoud homes Bundaberg is a reputable and reliable company, I found Aletha in particular to take alot of responsibility for the happiness of the client and overall quality and finish of the house which makes the whole experience so much nicer, looking forward to our next build with Stroud Homes. When my husband and I started researching to build our dream home we asked fellow friends and family who they had built with in the past and who they would recommend locally. Sadly, a lot of the responses were “We built with ____ but wouldn’t build with them again”. Realising there was no stand-out builder in the area we were left back at square one to continue our research and hope for the best.

My husband began looking at house plans online and came across the vast range on Strouds website. He found the perfect plan which also happened to be a display home so we drove hours to check it out. We absolutely loved it and were impressed with the quality – we just needed to build that home in our hometown!

A week or so passed and then we heard about Stroud Homes Widebay and their grand opening in Bundaberg! It was like it was meant to be! We met with Aletha and Slade and found them to be genuine and down-to-earth. They were full of knowledge and gave great advice. They were patient with our ‘millions’ of emails asking about things and wanting to change some ideas and add in or take out things, always a quick reply and then wham, our slab went down! Today marks a year since our slab was poured.

We have lived in our house for 9 months with no major concerns or problems.

Everyone who visits loves our home and we highly recommend Stroud Homes Widebay. We would definitely build with them again. For our first time building, it has been the best experience.

Slade, Aletha, Scott and their tradespeople were always happy to chat to us on site visits, our site was impressively clean inside and out and our build-time was as it was meant to be. A few special notes I’d like to mention – our butlers pantry had 4 rows of 3 drawers in each and they were different sizes in height, small, medium, large. When we asked if they could change them to be all the same size, they happily accommodated and replaced them. In our bathroom we had 3 cupboards under the sink side-by-side. When we asked if we could change one cupboard and make it into 3 drawers, they happily accommodated and replaced it. In our kitchen along our island bench wall we have a pretty big mosaic tile feature, when we asked them if they could change the grout from white to dark they happily accommodated – which I know was a pain to have to scratch out!

We are truly thankful that Slade and Aletha came along. Our house has been entered into numerous building awards and fingers crossed they win to prove that Stroud Homes Widebay is a great local builder! Our home is like no other on the street, with Strouds amazing façade and designs making it stand out. People still stop by and take photos!

We built a spec home with Stroud Homes Wide Bay as the first in a coastal property development we have at Ocean Heights, Elliott Heads.

From day one the building process was made easy with over 100 designs to choose from. The quote was quick and we were ready to start. We were able to pick all fittings keeping to their standard range. This range was impressive including a lot of things that most builders would charge extra for. The design process was made so easy picking all colours and fittings in one in store consultation. There was no need to go to tile shops, carpet shops, plumbing and lighting shops etc. It was all done in their office. They had sample ranges of everything we had to choose. We have built before and experienced first hand the hassle of being given certain pc costs to choose your own range. It was almost impossible to stick within the budget then. Not with Stroud Homes Wide Bay, we are happy to say we got to the end of our bill with no extra charges.

Alethea & Slade were hands on during the whole process and always addressed our questions and concerns immediately throughout the build.
