There are many ways to ventilate the sub floor of your home. Balanced Pressure Air Systems:

The most popular strategy is a positive and negative balanced air pressure system. This is typically when we bring in just as much fresh air as we remove mouldy air. E.g. 2 fans are installed beneath the home, Fan A will bring fresh air in from outside the house, as For Fan B it will usually be installed on the opposite side of the room and will remove the old musty air.

Positive Pressure Air Systems:

Another strategy which is very common is the positive pressured subfloor ventilation system. The aim of this system is to bring in as much fresh air as possible using an inline fan. This system helps dry out minor damp issues located beneath your home. E.g. 1 Fan is installed and connected to an external grill, the fan brings in hot dry air forcing the cold moist air out of the non-pressured ventilation grills.

Negative Pressure Air Systems:

The last but still very effective strategy is the negative pressured subfloor ventilation system. This system only removes the cold moist air out of the subfloor although in order for it to work effectively it will require a very easy passage for fresh air to enter the sub floor. Typically, ventilation grills are installed around the home to help with air flow.
