Independent Creative Hub
The Old Auction House is a creative hub showcasing the emerging artists and creatives of Regional Victoria and beyond.
The hub encompasses two Galleries that specialise in emerging and mid-career contemporary artists in individual and group shows, an Australian Handmade Shop featuring more than 100 makers, as well as a busy schedule of Creative Workshops by an ever expanding list of local artists in everything from Silver Jewellery to Leadlight or Illustration.
The space is also home to Leadlight By Ettore, a multi-generational glass arts teaching studio and Kyneton Craftery, a craft and maker studio who run both adult workshops and kids birthday parties in a range of crafts including polymer clay, jewellery making and scrapbooking.
The hub is Open 7 Days, including all Public Holidays
Excluding the annual closure from December 25th to January 1st

Our Studios
The Old Auction House came about as a way for Leadlight By Ettore to build a community around it, to stop the isolation of working alone in a shed in the middle of a paddock.
Our studios have homed a variety of artists and small artisan businesses over our 6 years bringing together a community to bounce ideas off, lift each other up and collaborate with, and we are excited to see who they will continue to house in years to come.

Leadlight By Ettore
A multi-generational teaching glass arts studio, that is the heart of the creative hub. Leadlight By Ettore has been repairing and creating leadlight windows in the region since 1980 and teaching a range of glass arts since 1988.

Kyneton Craftery
Craft, Chat Caffeinate! is the motto of Kyneton Craftery’s studio, designed to be the craft room you wish was in your house full of friends, good conversation and many laughs.

Kids Craft Parties by Kyneton Craftery
Join our energetic and enthusiastic party hosts for a craft party for 7 -14 year olds in our purpose designed party rooms in Kyneton.
Set up to take 6-12 kids for 2.5h fully hosted and inclusive crafty fun.
About
The Old Auction House
The DiPilla family bought the derelict historic 1880's timber building in 2016, known around Kyneton as the Ferris Auction House which it housed for 90 years. The 1/4 acre under roof building was in an uninhabitable condition but after six months of intensive renovations, the shop and glass studio were opened with the gallery and more artist studios following 3 months later. The Old Auction House officially opened on April 22nd 2017 and remains a completely family-owned creative hub in Regional Victoria.
