FAQ’s
Today’s synthetic grass is made from polyethylene (or sometimes polypropylene) plastic fibre which is woven into a rubber latex mat or backing. The colours, densities and heights vary depending on the specific use.
Total Synthetic Surfacing supplies a unique and high-quality product that meets all Australian standards and will last between 5 and 15 years depending on use and we give a 12 year warranty.
It melts rather than catches fire, but by using sand infill only the exposed tips will melt, and the sand will extinguish the flame.
All plastics will fade somewhat over time, but we only use very high-quality products that are UV treated and comply with all Australian standards so they will not fade as much or as fast as cheaper products on the market.
Almost none, which is one of the main benefits of it. We recommend washing away spills (especially any that could stain or harm the fibres) and removing glass plus keep it free from leaves etc but that’s really about it.
Artificial grass can be laid over almost any surface as long as it’s fairly flat it can go over sand, earth, or concrete but will always somewhat reflect the flatness of the surface below meaning if you have low-lying areas the water will pool there is the underneath surface isn’t porous.
