We have the expertise to offer our patients a full range of options starting from nutritional plans, non-surgical and surgical procedures. We approach your needs collaboratively with our surgeon, nurse, dietitian, psychologist, and psychiatrist to tailor a plan that is right for you.
The results that our patients achieve, speak for themselves. Our specialist multidisciplinary support team of nurse, dietitian, psychologist, and clinical hypnotherapist, ensures that you will be supported 100% through your journey.
They are confident of being able to address any issues or barriers that may be inhibiting your road to success, in achieving a new, healthier you!
Our patients are our partners, and as long as you are ready to work together, we will be with you through every step of the way to Make Change Real.
“Our Medical Practitioners and Clinical Team Members are individually Registered under Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), without Conditions of Registration.

Weight Loss Surgery provides a safe and effective long-term solution for individuals seeking sustainable weight loss. Our specialised team addresses both the physical and psychological aspects of weight loss to ensure optimal outcomes.
Morbid Obesity is a chronic and life-threatening condition characterised by excessive fat storage, leading to multiple health issues known as co-morbidities. Obesity becomes “morbid” when it significantly increases the risk of obesity-related co-morbidities, resulting in significant physical disability or premature death. The term “clinically severe obesity” is also used interchangeably with morbid obesity.
Morbid obesity can be defined as:
Being 45kg or more over the ideal body weight, or
Having a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 40+
Having a BMI of 35+ with specific serious co-morbidities
Having undergone weight loss surgery before and requiring a review for a Revisional Procedure
According to the National Institutes of Health Consensus Report, morbid obesity is a serious and chronic disease that requires appropriate treatment. As a chronic disease, it develops gradually over an extended period, necessitating chronic treatment, such as weight loss surgery.
If you have explored every avenue for weight loss, and your co-morbidity is showing little improvement, it may be worthwhile to explore your options in weight loss surgery.
“Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding, you should seek an opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner”.

Obesity related health conditions are health conditions that, whether alone or in combination, can significantly reduce your life expectancy. These are termed “co-morbidities”. These co-morbid conditions are what make morbid obesity a disease in and of itself.
Weight loss surgery reduce body weight, resolve obesity related co-morbidities, and improve long term survival.

"... I'm so grateful for the support WMSA have given me and continue to do so. I feel like the old me again. So many health issues gone, my mindset is changed forever and eating health and exercising is the new norm I love. It's taken awhile to not depend on food as comfort and see the unhappiness it caused me. I love the new/old me again"
