Always delicious and the staff are always great, sometimes I feel like certain menu items are a little overpriced for portion size served, but could never complain about the quality. 3 monkeys have always been a popular option in Darby street

Very friendly staff here and the food is very yummy. They have a great range of smoothies and milkshakes which range from healthy to decadent. The stairs to the upstairs section are very narrow which can cause a bit of a bottle neck, especially because the toilet is located upstairs. Despite the lack of room it's a great spot if you're after a casual dining experience in Newcastle.

Great atmosphere and quaint little place to enjoy a coffee and a cafe style meal. Good prices and the food was really nice too with decent size meals. Coffee was really nice as well. Would come back again but not a suitable venue for kids due to the stairs so would be coffee date with hubby or meal with friends only.

I went here with a friend of mine mid week for some coffee and cake during there lunch break from work. We both ordered some cappuccinos and then a hot chocolate each in there largest drink size, which is quite novelty, because if you order the largest size drink it comes in what looks like a soup bowl! The drinks are very filling and are great hand warmers too in the cold weather, being that large! Our hot chocolates came with marshmellow's in them without having to ask so that was good. This place has a nice relaxed atmosphere and good friendly service. We sat upstairs, which is a nice private feeling little nook, however be warned the staircase is quite narrow and steep so if you are planning on wearing heels like I did, you might need to sit downstairs! Our sweets were quite tasty and I have also eaten lunch here a few times and the food has always been of a good standard.

Best chips I have ever had. Three Monkeys is a great "chill cafe" for people of all ages and styles. They have just renovated inside and outside and it just looks amazing now. The price is very reasonable and the staff are a delight. Also amazing coffees at this cafe.

Great little place to grab coffee or food. It can get quite busy but they do still get everything out to you in reasonable time. The staff are friendly and always willing to assist with any strange requests!

They really have the best milkshakes and smoothies in Darby street - great range of food for an excellent price. The new renovations have really spruced the place up, and the waitstaff are friendly as always, if you haven't been to 3 monkeys cafe go and have a look and you won't be let down!

The staff look after us very well and come back every 5 minutes to make sure that we are satisfied with our meal(s). They have a unique variety of drinks including smoothies (chocolate, fudge, fruit, peanut butter, etc.), frappes, soft drinks and hot/cold milk drinks. The prices are great and the atmosphere is amazing. This cafe is for all ages and appeals very well to teenagers around the ages of 15-18.

Great place to meet friends for coffee and a chat. We sit out the back outside, not too loud & great privacy. Good service, friendly staff and lovely drinks. Haven't had a meal there but definitely would.

Went there for dinner. Was the first time I had ever been there. We walked in and we greeted by friendly staff, who were close when you needed them but not too close. Our meals arrived fast and were excellent! They had a great range of drinks and a great range of food and it was all reasonably priced which I was surprised about being on Darby Street. Will definitely go again!

What kinds of meals did they have on the dinner menu? I haven't been here before but I'm interested to find out what kind of foods they serve!

I think it has changed a bit since we went - but we had a pumpkin risotto, lamb curry and a creamy pasta from memory. Been meaning to go back!

Coffee was not as good as Goldbergs, however the meal was nice and the atmosphere was vibrant. The service was great, however the meals are quite pricey.

The services is always great, but like most things on Darby street it is very over priced for what you get. The food is simple and expensive. If it is just coffee you are after, then Three Monkeys isn't bad.
