I have been to this place several times. It is a nice atmosphere and always neat and clean however the staff are always unhappy and can be quite rude. The meals are good fair sizes and reasonable prices. The pork belly is a hit and miss and the laksa is also hit and miss. The lunch time cheap menu is good and meals not to badly sized.

this place is in a good location for all to enjoy. the bistro is always clean with a great menu and great chefs to go with it. the food is simple but great flavours. the pokies are always pretty good with a good array of machines. the lay out of the bistro/function are is very nicely done and the bar is nice and open. there is plenty of room to move around this place.

I ate here once for lunch, during my meal I noticed a small piece of plastic from in my wrap. I notified the waitress and she was so good, she offered me a fresh meal or something off the menu. I declined, I didnt want anything, just wanted her to know that there was plastic in my food. She still went and told the kitchen staff, and was very professional and lovely about it all.

My family and I have stopped by the Fountain Gate Hotel a few times after shopping trips at the Fountain Gate shopping centre. I have never had a negative experience here, however there is a window of opportunity for improvement.
The bistro area is very nice, kept exceptionally clean, and is definitely family friendly, with special meals and clubs for children. I found the one downside to this, was there is no play area for children, meaning that any restless children were playing games and being noisy out in the main dining area. - Due to this reason, I would recommend it mainly for families with children who are old enough to not become easily bored.

As for the food, it is great. Perhaps not the best bistro style food I have tried, but definitely far from the worst. They are able to accommodate to most, if not all, dietary needs.

Staff were friendly and helpful where necessary.

I found that the only problem with this venue is that it has been quite busy every time I have visited - this means longer waits on food, and on one occasion, not all of our party's food was delivered to the table at the same time - leaving the option of half of the food going cold, or half of the party eating before the other half were delivered their order.

Overall, I have always quite enjoyed my experiences here and if I was in the area, I would likely return.

It's usually quite busy whenever I go which can cause the meals to take a while. On certain occasions the menu just isn't what you want. The staff are the majority of the time are pleasant and some of the girls are really lovely. The food is usually pretty good.

My partner and I go here for dinner often. Staff are always friendly. Meals are very good and a reasonable price, and cheaper if you have a shop a docket voucher. And the pokies are next door.

I went to this hotel in 2006 for a wedding reception and i was pleased with the service. Someone who was underage was trying to buy a drink and i was very happy to see the bartender tell him that if he asked once more they'd kick him out!

We have visited the Fountain Gate Hotel a few times, the first time we visited was because we saw a coupon in the local newspaper for a discount meal. The dining area, although quite small is never packed, which is good. The meals regular pricing seem a little overpriced but the meals are always satisfying and the range of cakes and deserts makes your mouth water.
