This place is all about making money. They cram as many kids as possible into classes, spend as little time as possible with students and are too tight to spend any money on the facility. There is not enough seating for customers so parents sit on the floor and any suggestions for improvements are ignored. Do yourself a favour and avoid.

I have a disabled son and through his school use this fascility for two weeks every year. He has had the same instructor this year and last year and she is truly amazing with him. Her efforts and patience are much appreciated.

We have been going to GAC for 3 1/2 years, however over the past 12 months there has been no progress. Each semester we have had a new instructor however none have been able to build a rapport and further swimming development since losing an instructor that we had for nearly 12 months. The morning classes are better than after school, which appears to be more money generated by packing as many as 7 students into the 1 lesson. Apparently they can legally enrol more students. I initially found this school good, but due to lack of swimming development and 6 in the class have decided to try another school. However it should be noted I have also been very happy in the past with the teaching from some instructors and that it does depend on the individual child.

Very helpful with my children who weren't keen on getting in the big pool. I was going to pull them out of lessons but after speaking to the staff they were so helpful and flexible with my children's needs and they are now more than happy to go swimming. Great, clean pool

My daughter had about 5 different teachers in one term there was no explanation as to why this was the case. She was unable to build up a rapport with the instructor because of this and therefore didn't really gain a lot of confidence. She was the only girl in the group and spent a lot of time standing & waiting in the water while the teacher helped the other kids.

Both of my kids learnt to swim at the Geelong Aquatic Centre. Classes start at 6 months - through to Squad. Very happy with the qualified teachers, noting that local Government Primary Schools also use them for Swimming Programs Very friendly staff.
