Our sweet, gentle and healthy 15 year old cat died 7 days after admission to Welcome Cattery. They found her dead Easter Monday morning. She had been in another cattery for 17 nights prior and was fine there but they were booked out for Easter so we moved her to Welcome Cattery. Due to my Dad needing emergency surgery and Mum needing to go into emergency respite in March, we wanted the best care for Miranda until 13th April. We were meant to be picking her up today, 2 days after her passing. We are absolutely heartbroken. Miranda was so loved. I doubt I will ever get over this or forgive myself for placing her there. I don't understand why and what happened.

Unfortunately we are astounded with the kennels inability to adequately look after our treasured family pet. There is a significant amount of trust we place in such facilities as one would expect and as a result of our dogs recent stay, our healthy and vibrant dog has come home seriously unwell. The kennels management showing no empathy or sympathy for our situation . Thanking you for the disgraceful service and harm you have caused. After being loyal customers of 15 plus years We will no longer be using your facility nor will we be referring you to our family and friends.

Never again. I have been using Welcome Kennels for the past 12 years with all our dogs. For the past 12 months, something has changed, I could never put my finger on it. There is a new lady on staff, who is very abrupt with other staff and customers. I have spoken to friends that also used Welcome Kennels, and they had also felt something has changed.
Dropped our two Spoodles off for two weeks. Picked them up and as soon as we got home I know one of my dogs was not well. She could not stop snezing. Took her straight to the vet $320 later..... She got an injection and medication. They said she has a fungal infection or bacterial infection. The thing that makes me so angry, I wasn't told she was sick. If they didn't notice, means they speck no time with her!
The vet also noticed she couldn't walk properly.... We looked closely at at front leg, it was so matted and was pulling all her skin from her leg and under belly. We clipped it back and it was all scabby!
We also supply all the dry dog food and frozen cooked veggies that they need to have daily for there anal gland issues, if they have there daily veggies, there anal glands are ok. Both dogs need to have there anal glands at the vet. I could smell them the minute I picked them up.
When I have spent thousands and thousands of dollars over the years, I expect my dogs to be looked after and cared for.
Never again will I take my dogs there. Lift your game and have staff on that love there job

NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

Picked up my dogs today (unexpectedly and without telling management that we were coming) and both dogs were covered in their own wee and poo. Their blankets have been washed in an attempt to wash out the poo paw prints- but they are still there and still stink. I am appauled! The lady told us they smell doggy... no they smell like their own wee and poo!!!!! We have paid alot of money for this service and my dogs, who mean the world to me have been sitting and sleeping in their own wee and poo.
Disgraceful.
This will be going further.

Also noticed only young people working there. Not a strong or happy vibe around the place.

Do not board your dogs there.

I recently left my cat at Welcome for 2 weeks and was so impressed with the caring and professional service we encountered. As my cat had had a bad experience in a previous visit to a different cattery, I was anxious that she would be stressed again but she was beautifully looked after and was quite relaxed when we picked her up. This is a fantastic establishment which I highly recommend and which we will definitely use again. Jo

My dog Jordy was a boarder at Welcome for four to five months at a time over a four year period, as well as numerous short term stays. He was ALWAYS in better condition when i got him back than when i dropped him off, fitter and more active, playful. When dropping him off he would jump out of the car and bolt in to say hello to the staff. The team were forever helpful and accomodating. I am a big fan and have sent numerous people to them, all with the same success.

I have a number of cats and they were alright. I felt like they really didn't have the personal touch that I like in a boarding facility. They were very clean and professional. I didn't like not being able to tour the place.

Picked my 2 small fluff ball dogs up after 3.5 weeks. Both dogs looked great and hadn't lost any weight and looked healthy. Another kennel that they onced stayed at they lost weight and were both sick upon picking them up. Not at this place. Welcome Kennels were very helpful as both my dogs are in side dogs and I was concerned about them being cold. We booked them into an inside & outside run with heating. It is nice to know I can go away and they will be very well looked after. These are my babies!

Our male Spanador adores staying at Welcome Kennels. He has a great time, lots of care attention and play. He comes home really happy and somewhat more muscular from all the supervised playtime with other happy dogs. We can go away knowing he is well catered for.

No real problems. Great setting. Professional, well managed, large centre. Just didn't feel very personal or caring. They didn't really ask much about your pet and were very business-like. You are unable to see where your cat will be staying.
