It's obvious these guys are dog lovers! We've been taking our two Cavoodles to The Friendly Toad for a few months and they come out looking amazing every time. Sometimes I drop them off before work and pick them up on the way home and they come out all sparkly. Convenient. Highly recommended.

Our first experience here was a good one but the second was woeful and we will not go back or recommend these groomers. After waiting hours after appointment time, they still hadn't attended to our apparently very well-behaved small dog. We had to collect him as we couldn't keep him there longer. They offered the next day we come back with a measly $5 discount. Throughout the whole process they could NEVER get our dog's name correct even though it's clearly written on his tag. We then collected him and he was covered in white powder and they only cut half his hair!!! All they did was clip his back and around his eyes! We now have to take him somewhere else to get finished as he looks ridiculous and unhappy with the poor service. We left with them calling our dog yet again another name.

AVOID at all costs
took my puppy here for his first groom. They stood there looking at him with no idea what to do. Didn't even bother engaging with him and comforting him or introducing themselves to him... they didn't know anything about the dogs breed and coat requirements

I told them he's a pup and Im happy to stay and help because he's bouncy and a handful.
I come back 3 hours later to pick him up from just a wash/dry (yes 3 hours!) and can hear him squeeling from pain in the other room.
He comes out, still wet... not brushed well and trembling from fear or cold- im not sure which.

they tried to charge me full groom rate- which is for clipping and so on - when he only had a wash/nails...

pup is sulking 3 days later, is scared and im concerned he is on the verge of ear infection as well due to them getting water in his ears.
great way to introduce ur puppy to grooming -NOT!

i think they've changed management since the last reviews - and also their website is much better than they actually claim to be.

Friendly pet store and dog groomer. I take one of my dogs here annually for her summer trim and wash and would highly recommend them. I think she is a beautiful dog but when she leaves here she is stunning and always happy to revisit the next time. And they remember her from year to year !

We took our very bouncy labrador Lucy here for a wash and she came out beautifully clean and very happy! You do have to book well in advance though, the last two times they were so booked up we had to go elsewhere because the wait was just too long.

This is the best grooming salon in melb but be warned you will need to book in advance very friendly and the quality of the work was just great highly rec

We have our dog - a maltese x westie - groomed here regularly. Always friendly and professional and contact you when they have finished to allow you enough time to collect etc. Offer the dog a little treat at the end. Overall, our dog was well groomed and I appreciate the professionalism and service.

We'd tried numerous groomers in the eastern inner city with varying results. The girls at Friendly Toad are consistent in their quality - and give our dog lots of good loving. They're competitively priced, extremely keen to please, and great to do business with - we'll stay with them!

We had taken our Australian Terrier to another Groomers and they could not complete the groom as Charlie was too boisterous for them. When we took her to Abode of the Friendly Toad, not only did they do a complete job BUT they did an amazing job and Charlie really loved going there.
