Above and Beyond was recommended to us for my husband's funeral, Rebecca was absolutely fantastic, arranging everything, suggesting ideas, understanding our grief ,so helpful, everything was so tastefully organised, even the first day she had to pick up my husband from the Hospice, I will never forget that day, you drove so slowly up the drive way with all the staff on either side and my two daughters and myself following behind the car, Thank you for that Rebecca. the flowers for the coffin were gorgeous, I am sure my husband would have been so pleased ,maybe he was looking over our shoulder when we chose Above and Beyond, the final touches ,the ashes and the death certificates, you certainly removed a lot of stress at a very stressful time. Thank you to both of you, Rebecca you were heaven sent.

Above and Beyond was recommended to us by our neighbour who told us that Rebecca would care for us. He was right and we needed that in a difficult and very sad time. From the first, she was compassionate, sensitive and open to our ideas while giving us practical guidance. She was always available, answering our queries and taking care of the details we would overlook, and she was able to make us laugh when we needed it. She suggested Ian as our celebrant: he devised a very moving service in which he really caught Mum's essential spirit. The chapel Bec suggested was beautiful and one my mother would have loved. We were able to gather there with family and friends to celebrate Mum's life and afterwards reminisce about her. Little touches we really appreciated: the packs of tissues given out before the service and the list of organisations to notify of Mum's death. In the days following the funeral, that was a lifeline.

I would like to write a short note to give you our sincerest thanks in managing Dad's Funeral for us.

You handled the whole process for us with sensitivity, practicality and a genuine sense of care and compassion, considering what we were all experiencing at the time. It was and still is quite a shock for us all.

You are someone that Dad would have loved to have met. He was a very practical, common sense man, with a sense of fun and he always made people feel welcomed and special. I feel the two of you would have got on very well. Sometimes there are other powers at play and all the people who were involved in the last week of Dad's life and his life thereafter (staff at the Hospice, yourself, Father Harry), were all people Dad would have genuinely welcomed as friends, under normal circumstances. Maybe he was silently choosing you all, for us.

You all made our process in dealing with his death, a lot easier and a bit of laughter thrown in, always breaks the reality of the situation. We appreciate your quick thinking skills in alleviating the grief his young grandchildren were experiencing when the coffin was being placed in the car. Following Dad up the road was a beautiful memory we will all have and a sense of final closure for the grandkids.

We cannot all thank you enough for your efficiency, diplomacy, sense of fun and your genuine care of Dad, even after he passed. We knew he was in good hands with yourself and Father Harry to take him to the next journey.

My partner passed away on Boxing day 2012 and the funeral was on New Years Eve. Rebecca from Above and beyond funerals came to my house and with no problems at all she has outlined all the options for the funeral and contacted all people involved with much respect. Nothing was a hassle to her.
