Headed down here to try the Zumbo desserts at The Star a couple of weeks ago. There was a bit of a wait despite being there at about 7 at night. The staff unfortunately weren't too helpful when asking of what ingredients in certain desserts which was a bit disappointing. However the desserts where delicious and I would go back.

Approximate cost: $15

His macaroons are absolutely delish, like no other! I had high expectations the first time I tried these and am glad to say I was not disappointed. The only criticism would be the price.

We popped in just to try the macarons/zumbarons because we had heard so much about them. Definitely great quality but my outstanding favourite was the malted milkshake flavour. A brilliant shimmery aqua colour and soft moussey centre. Chewy and crunchy all at the right places. Ended up going back for more.

Looks delicious outside, but I must say it's quite pricey

There is a big hype about adriana zumbo but i think it is overated. The desserts are quite nice, i tried few of them including the maroon. But i am not impressed plus the price is quite expensive so i dont think it was worth it.

I went there during my last trip to sydney. The layout was nice and they have a dessert train, which is quite special (first time seeing this!)... I tried the zumbaron and the V8 cake, and trust me, it's a must try for anybody who plans to go there. the V8 is made up 0f 8 layers, and the combination of those flavors are awesome!

Unlink any other usual dessert places, Adriano Zumbo in the Casino has a dessert train. Unfortunately, we missed the time that it runs. So ended up I had the passion-fruit tart and my friend had the lemon meringue pie. All the desserts look extremely attractive and fresh. However, I'd have preferred less sugar in there - a bit too sweet for my liking. But thumbs up for their maroons!

After watching "the Dark Lord" appear on Masterchef Australia, I was very excited to finally eat some of his macaroons. I was very pleased on the range and quality of macaroon that was for sale. They also had other yummy desserts and one of favourite is the lemon tart.

I've tried Zumbo's macarons before, and was really looking forward to the dessert train at The Star. It was a bit disappointing as we had to wait for nearly an hour in line. There's not much seating inside, and they could've made much better use of the space. The service was okay, but the desserts weren't anything super spectacular, especially for the price. Next time I'll just buy macarons and a V8 cake from the Zumbo shops instead. Won't bother eating in here again.

Thanks for the honest review. I think macaroons are a little too hyped up in my opinion.

Went there for my bday, macaroons are great as expected, we tried the tarts and cakes in the "sushi train" area and they taste fantastic!
No service at all though, floor staffs were too busy chatting amongst themselves in Spanish or something... not helpful at all. We were given a seat with half a cake on the floor (from the previous customer), it was pretty obvious when the cake is white and the floor is something totally different. Pretty gross. After awhile we realised the same cakes are coming out (maybe 3 different cakes for the whole 30mins) so I had to walk up to the pastry chefs to request something that's not on the belt (as the floor staffs told me they only have what's on the belt!). Thankfully the pastry chefs were really helpful and made one of the cakes for us. Thank you thank you! 5 stars for the people in the kitchen, floor staffs are just useless.
